They responded to a virtual flooded basement immediately (8 a.m. Monday). Diagnosed the problem, quickly obtained the parts and repaired / replaced all the fittings. Checked back the next day to be sure everything was still dry, fixed another fitting and did not charge. They were fantastic! This is my second recommendation of them to others. Great team work -- both male and female who is very savvy. A++!!

The guy's professionalism was very good. He actually came out on a weekend for us because the hot water tank had gone. His price was very reasonable. He upgraded the hot water tank to a bigger one for us at no fee. He was very professional. He told us exactly what had to be done and what to expect. We have been very fortunate with the contractors we have had.

They did an absolutely excellent job installing the water heater. Additional education is required to install a tank-less heater. They are fast, efficient and clean up after themselves. It is what you expect out of a small business.

Our water tank was leaking so since we have a home warranty, we called them and they sent Brian. He came in and was quick with his inspection and put in the call. We asked him if we would be able to put in a tank-less water heater and just pay the difference which he had no problem with. Our warranty covered about $1000.00 which was great and we paid the remainder. He came in and did the job without any problems on our end. The heater looks amazing hanging on the wall and we have had no problems with it. I also asked him about installing a humidifier on our furnace and he said it wouldn't be a problem. I just made the appointment for this today. It will be installed next week. His price of $425.00 is on the low end of the average which is great and he is going to make sure that my furnace doesn't have any other issues while he is installing for no extra cost. This is also awesome cause if there is no issues I won't be paying for something I don't need. If it needs to be cleaned out or anything along those lines, I will be happy to pay him.

It went fine. A.J. took the time to explained what he was doing and why. He also took the time to try to find someone to clean our septic tank for us. He was very friendly and professional.

AWHITCHER PLUMBING & HEATING
During the testing of the safety gauges, one blew at a normal operating temperature. The workman quickly diagnosed the cause as being due to having excess water in the systems expansion tank. He noted that this situation will occur occasionally in these older rigid style of tanks. He also noted that replacing these with the newer tanks that have expandable bladders in them will eliminate the need to drain the current tank every now and then. However, he made no "push" to sell me a new tank as he said the current tank was in good shape and as long as I was willing to have it drained once in a while (and at little or no cost), there was really no need for a new one. BTW, once the tank was drained, he retested the safety gauges and they all worked exactly as they should! I was also impressed by his candor when I asked him about the potential cost and energy savings of buying a new energy efficient system. He frankly said that unless we were going to stay in our home for another 30 years (little chance of that as we are nearly 70), we most likely wouldn't be able to recover our costs. He indicated that our largest energy savings, given the nature of our home (a 2 story, brick "Italianate" built in 1878), would come from insulating and closing up the cracks and other air leaks in the house. He did note that a new boiler system would probably increase the sales value of the house, but overall the system was still quite serviceable and didn't need to be replaced at this point in time, unless we wanted to do so. Finally, I would like to say how impressed I was with the workman's knowledge, thoroughness, honesty, presentation and overall demeanor. He was a REALLY nice guy and I would gladly welcome him back for any future heating or cooling jobs we might need!!!

Job was okay. Provided a verbal estimate of < $500. Actual bill was closer to $800. No explanation or discussion around increase in cost of the job. Make sure you get a written estimate.

AB & D HEATING & COOLING
They arrived very quickly and REPLACED the old filter with a new one. Other contractors just tried fixing the old filter. Which didn't work. They did a very good job. Finally I have a fuel oil storage tank that doesn't leak any more. I would highly recommend them to anybody.

The experience went well overall. The technicians were willing to stay until the job was done. They could've left and came back the next day, but didn't, which I thought was great. They're a wonderful company to work with!
