BPENINSULA PAVERS
The price was fair. When they originally came to do it, there was not enough road gravel down so we had to have the other guy come back and redo that. We kept getting a promise date and then they wouldn't show. It took a while to get them back so we were a little disappointed with them. We couldn't reach them. We would leave messages and they wouldn't call back. Since we missed our first opportunity, then we got pushed back and they took care of the other places. They should have responded and let us know. When they finally did come the crew was great and the finished product was good. The pricing was in the ballpark. This was set up through our contractor. They did finally come when they said but it took 3 times. We might look for somebody else in the future.

BELMER'S ASPHALT
Estimator came out immediately and promptly gave me an estimate. Due to the fact that my existing water barrier had broken up over the winter, I was having water problems. At times a virtual river came down the driveway and had to be diverted off a side hill. I ,therefore, wanted the work done as soon as possible. The estimator suggested some sand tubes as a temporary fix and this was a very helpful suggestion. He later emailed me and said he thought they could get to the driveway in a few weeks. That was on May 3. They finally came on June 11. This is a large company and they know what they are doing. I am happy with the driveway and would recommend them for large projects like I had. Not for just sealing a driveway, however. There were some problems......for one thing their equipment is very large for residential use. One planter box at the garage end was cracked and the concrete sidewalk chipped with the large equipment used to remove the concrete. Also, I was left with a huge ditch all along next to the driveway. Since the water all drains in that direction, I have spent weeks turning this ditch into a raingarden (when it's finally finished!). Also, because of the large equipment, a lot of the street past the driveway was broken and had to be paved. Tire marks from the asphalt can still be seen coming from one driveway. I went with this company because they are well known in our area. I would recommend them if you are not in a hurry and are willing to wait for the work to be done on their schedule.

It's a one-two punch of pavement protection with our seamless infrared asphalt repair and asphalt sealcoating that will save you more money than ever with today's skyrocketing pavement prices! Initially, your driveway or parking lot will receive a thorough cleaning. Cracks will be sealed with a quality hot rubber product to keep out water and prevent further damage. Hot rubber crack sealer is applied at extremely high temperatures to get deep into the crack. As the rubber cools, it solidifies, but stays flexible so it can expand and contract with the thermal movements of the asphalt. Next, sealcoating is applied in 2 coats (using a spray method) over the entire asphalt area with a "rich" flat black coat. (Sealed pavement should never have a shine or appear to be wet.) The sealcoating will seal the porous surface. Once dried (average of 24 hours), it forms a tough, protective layer that protects your pavement investment from the elements and keeps the surface looking new. Sometimes people are misled into believing seal coating is only for beautification purposes. Professional grade sealcoating not only extends the life of your asphalt investment, it makes the surface more resistant to deterioration from gasoline, oil, and chemicals. It also prevents weather-related erosion from natural elements, such as the sun, rain, frost, freezing, and thawing. We apply multiple coats of professional grade FAA approved sealcoating with a spray system, paying careful attention not to get any sealer where it should not be. A favorite analogy is that of spray painting your vehicle; you wouldn't want someone to brush or roll the paint onto your vehicle! Some inferior companies actually brush or squeegee the product onto the asphalt, which in may result in a sub-optimal job in most cases, leaving broom or squeegee marks on your asphalt.
