Recent Review: No complaints. Very professional. Replacing existing old wood, not unexpectedly, uncovered some surprises, but Chris, the installer, handled them with skill. The finished product looks great.

Recent Review: Contractor seemed competent and was easy to work with through most of the project. His helpers were not as competent. Near the end, I paid him the final payment, which was a HUGE mistake. He did not return to finish several items that he had promised would be completed. He also did not repair an exterior faucet which his men broke. I also found a number of vinyl sections incorrectly cut, leaving openings in the siding. He will not answer/return calls. Another contractor that looked at the siding asked me if the contractor had ever sided a house before.

Recent Review: The job went fantastic. Steve is a very professional worker. He does not waste time. He is very skilled at what he does! I had him come out and tear out a 16 by 20 deck and replaced it with a 20 by 20 wood deck with cedar railing. He had everything including the tear out, done within 4 days. And coming from a carpenters background I was extra critical of his miters and where exactly i needed my steps to land and he did it with ease! I will always use and recommend Steve for any projects I have in the future!

Recent Review: The first day they got the support and the floor and 3 sides done. Second day they got all the sides done with the siding. Third day they put up the trusses and wood for the roof. 4th day they put the shingles on the roof. 5th day they finished the roof with the air vent. Made the double door and the ramp to drive into the shed with. We were very happy with the job they did. They cleaned up each and every night.  We would hire them again and again.

Recent Review: Our old wood deck was deteriorated to the point that it was no longer an enhancement to our home.  The wood had developed rot and was not safe to walk on in some areas.  Since we liked the design, size and color of the original deck, we wanted to duplicate those features.  However, the exception was the material the deck would be constructed from.  Our new deck would have to be built using a material that would require little maintenance and last many years to come.  After shopping around for a company that would give us what we required, we turned to Angie's list and discovered Creative Wood Products.  The owner, Steve Darby, came out to the house, provided info about his company, gave us info about Gossen Brand Cellular PVC material.  Steve did a first class work-up of the deck and pricing, returning with samples that duplicated the look and feel of wood, without all the maintenance that wood requires.  The Gossen and Creative Wood Products warranties are excellent, but it was Steve Darby's commitment to deliver exactly what we wanted with a high degree of professionalism and quality at a price that we liked.  Creative Wood Products began the tear-out and haul away of the old deck as promised.  From start to finish, Steve Darby, kept in contact as the project progressed, keeping us well informed.  We never had to call to question anything.....his updates were the best!  His employee, J.D. is a quality conscious, customer focused individual.  J.D. made sure the site was clean and spotless at the completion of each day during the construction process.  As a result of Steve Darby's company and J.D's efforts we are now enjoying our beautiful deck.  The project was completed well ahead of the promised date.  I wanted to mention that as a result of a coupon posted on the Creative Wood Products page, we received a generous discount of $350.00 off the price for the L.E.D lighting. I highly recommend Creative Wood products....They exceed all of our expectations!

Recent Review: The original storm door was moved from it's location flush with the front door so that it is flush with the exterior wall of the house. This provides a nice airlock which allows me to close the storm door before opening the front door and allows me to keep the elements out. KJP removed the old door and frame and reframed a new door several feet out from it's old location. The new door is well made and attractive and the workmanship on the new frame is first-rate. The old wooden deck was completely removed and carted off. A new deck, made of composite material was put up in it's place. This new deck matches the front porch that KJP added to my house in 2013, except that instead of balusters, there are horizontal wires installed between the vertical posts. This gives me a great view of the river and woods when sitting in my living room. Also, the workmanship is first-rate.

Recent Review: Again, Jamie and his team replaced and structually enhanced our 726 sq ft wood deck to it's original design.  They were prompt, polite and dedicated to completing the deck in promised time.  Jamie's team was very quick to correct any minor issues.  Thanks Jamie !!

Recent Review: On the day that I phoned Craig, three other contractors were also called. All were left messages. Craig is the only one who returned my call and it was within an hour after I had left a message. The weather was bad so the job he was working on outside was stalled for that day so he was able to come out that day to look at the job. He was prompt and professional, easy to talk to. He understood the design idea and was knowledgable about ADA building codes. We discussed building codes regarding property lines as the deck may have been too close to the property line. He went to City Hall that day and spoke to the city inspector and was given a verbal approval contingent on the plans. In less than a week the plans were brought over for my approval and then were submitted to the city for inspection and approved. The work was not able to begin for a week after, as he was on another job. He had made me aware of that from the start. The job began on time and progressed as planned. They made good use of their time, scheduling inside and outside work around the weather. He and his workers were always neat, cleaning up after themselves and professional. Craig was easy to work with when there were any changes that needed to be made throughout the process and phone calls were always returned within 24 hours. I would definitely recommend Craig's Construction to anyone. He came back for a final inspection and to take pictures and was kind enough to install smoke detectors not included in the bid.

The owner, Aaron, captured our vision exactly and provided the crew to execute his plan perfectly. We couldn't have asked for two nicer guys than Mark and Jason - courteous, polite, friendly and hard workers! Sometimes, it was difficult getting through to Aaron and the job took a little longer than we anticipated, but the end result was well worth the wait! We're happy with our new sunroom and deck and would recommend this company.

ACedar Works
Everything about CedarWorks was professional and first class - we are extremely pleased with our brand new Trex deck!  Jamie runs a great company and employs highly professional carpenters and workers.  The men on our job were courteous, friendly, professional and did excellent work.  I would highly recommend CedarWorks to anybody looking to replace their old deck.   I will submit pictures in my review after my landscaping around the deck is complete, but believe me, the deck looks phenomenal!!

AJ W Morgan Construction
It was a lot of work, they started in March last year and finished up just before Christmas, but that was my fault. They were on another job and I kept telling them go on and I was in no hurry. J W Morgan hires really good workers and nobody cusses. Most people that came in were pretty nice, Christian fellows that I didn't have to worry about, and so we didn't have to hide the small children from them or anything like that. We trusted them. The work was of good quality; it was nice. The job took a lot of time, I live in a farm, and it was nice having people here that I didn't have to worry about, that were not going to come back another night and steal from me. It was nice to have people in the house that I can trust. I had other two bids that were cheaper but they were coming from a place that was not familiar to me so I did not go with them.

ADoug's Handyman Service
Master Handyman Service, Doug Shebby, contact number is 810-208-0926 I called 1 day and Doug came out the next morning. He was right on time introduced himself and started on the jobs I had told him about on the phone, which was a plugged toilet and told him I needed some estimates on a couple other jobs, which he fixed that same day. The other jobs were to fix the entrance of the front door to be able to get my Mom in and out of the house in the wheelchair easier on her and us and their hot water was way to hot. He unplugged the toilet, told us we needed new plungers and where he had gotten his at. He fixed the hotwater heater and showed me how to do it myself and told us what to do to stop the hot water heater from going out. Which is to add a 30" vent for the hot water heater on to the one that was on the roof. Told him the roof was going to be redone this Spring, and he told me that if the roofers wouldn't fix it while redoing the roof to call him and he would come out and do it. I would definitely use him again and recommend him to others. He was a true blessing because we have been what I call overcharged so many times. He was very courteous and friendly. He doesn't try to sell or add extra work to be done. Very trustworthy.
