Recent Review: Beautiful product, good prices. Only issue was a delay in shipping of several weeks due to inventory. This delay caused issues with scheduling on a whole-house renovation and it would have been quite useful to know about upfront, rather than having to call them repeatedly for updates. When the flooring finally arrived, weeks late, it was beautiful and in very good shape. I would use them again, but I would order much earlier than needed to allow for any delays.

Recent Review: Bill and his team are absolutely phenomenal! Last month they refinished our entire first floor including our foyer, living room, dining room, and kitchen. We have 90 year-old wood floors in our home that had been covered by carpet and tile. The Aardema team restored them to their original glory in a matter of days! They did a gorgeous job! Each day the team was on time, knowledgeable, and pleasant. I definitely like to ask questions and enjoy being informed of progress and each day the gentlemen were more than happy to update me with this information and what I could expect. Pricing was fair and competitive. Hiring out projects like this usually stresses me out. Not at all the case with Aardema! This family owned business is trustworthy and truly cares about their clients. I am beyond ecstatic with the results. I can't begin to describe the feeling of sitting in my living room and looking at the beauty of my floors. It honestly feels like I have a new home. A million thanks to Bill and his team!

Recent Review: I called and relayed that I had a house I needed to get ready to sell, and it would need new carpeting.  Within a week I had an appointment at the house for measuring.  I told him what I had in mind -- neutral colors selected to coordinate with the brick fireplace, keeping everything as inexpensive as possible.  Sales person was able to provide a quote to me within a a few days, and nearly all the items were from inventory.  Samples of the selected carpets were sent to me, and I stopped in to office to select vinyl patterns.   Installation was scheduled and the job looks FANTASTIC!

Recent Review: They were very professional and very capable. They did an excellent job. Later, I changed my mind and got them to do the closet floor. They had no problems doing the work. They did a really good job. The quality of their materials was great. There was a huge choice in their store; they had a very wide range to choose from. I was really pleased with them. It did not take them very long to finish the work, either. Their price was very reasonable.

Recent Review: Great! Our hardwood floors had not been refinished in 17 years. Part of the floor was engineered wood and very thin and part was solid oak. The sanding needed to be very prudent on the engineered side of the floor. In addition, the sanding erased a stained pattern from the surface of the flooring and we wanted that pattern restained into the floor. We are very happy with the finished results. The process took 4 days.

Recent Review: Cortez Flooring in one-day installed Resilient Vinyl Valore Planks for my 1,101 sqft basement! I was a bit concerned on what type of floor to put down in my basement & how much it would cost. I needed a high-quality floor for an area of 1,101 sqft. I remembered how great a job Cortez Flooring did in the past, so I contacted them for professional advice. First, they listened to my concerns and what style floor I imagined in my space then explained and recommended floors.' The process was very easy and transparent from beginning to end. I was very impressed again with their work, they cleaned out the old carpet and scraped out the old sticky padding from the concrete. They focused on the installation, no smoking breaks or messy floors to clean up; they cleaned up after the installation. My kids immediately enjoyed the new floor. I highly recommend Cortez Flooring because they are professional and all around respectful making the service price absolutely worth it!

Justin can stain wood well, but he can't solve common problems related to installation. He is also dishonest, imo.

After putting in the flooring, there was reported moisture underneath the flooring and the flooring began the rise and buckle. The company would not come out, and blamed Mohawk who installed the flooring for them. Mohawk blames Klassic, the installer, for the raising of the floor. From the inspection, All-American Flooring Solutions: "using my expansion detection tool, I found little to no expansion space through out the installed flooring...the gaping and shrinking is consistence with the lack of explanation for the flooring to be able to expand and contract freely." As of date, nothing has been resolved. We paid over $1000 to get the service fix, but nobody know how to fix it.

Our concrete slab house had existing hardwood flooring that was badly damaged by a major water heater leak and we needed to replace the entire 2k sq. ft house of hardwood flooring. It was a huge job that many we brought by/called to quote turned down on the spot. Cortez Flooring, however, not only came by to quote, on time, during a snow storm, but ultimately delivered responsive, prompt, quality work at a very competitive cost. George, his brother, Gabe and their team were a pleasure to work with. They were incredibly responsive - I never had to worry that I would have to wait days to hear back from them like most other people we've hired to do work on our home over the years. George helped recommend the best type of flooring (we ended up going with a wide plank, engineered White Sand Oak from Mohawk) for our installation situation and ordered several samples for us to take home to review. He placed the order of the flooring and glue and delivered it to the house with enough time for the wood to acclimate to the house before the installation. We also wanted flush, wooden vent covers and I don't know how he did it, but, he found a perfect match to the flooring we chose. Between the demo and disposal of the old floor, prep of the concrete and installation of the new floor and trim, they estimated the job would take two weeks. I was skeptical that it would take longer, but, nope, it was completed right on time! The team showed up every day and even worked over the weekend to make sure they finished in time because there was some unexpected, additional floor prep due to some extra concrete leveling needed. In the end, the project was finished on time AND on budget! Cortez Flooring is a one stop shot and they made my monster of a project as painless as possible.

I found Chris on Angies list and called him for a quote to remove the  ceramic tile that had been in the house for 20 years and replace it with 3/4 inch solid hickory flooring. Chris arrived on time the very next day and walked through every aspect of the job with me. One of my primary concerns was the ability to match the current Hickory flooring that was already installed in the dinning room / formal living room, both of which butted up against the existing tile flooring. I really wanted the transitions between the current hickory flooring and the new hickory flooring to look seamless. Chris said " not an issue" as he has perfected a "toothing" technique that allows him to give a seamless look -  given we can find the same hickory flooring. Chris also laid out a clear time line for the start date, the time to complete each aspect of the job (ceramic tile removal - 4 days, floor prep - 1 day, floor install  - 4 days, and base trim / finish 1 day), as well as the final completion date. Then next step was to find the Hickory flooring which we did at a discount flooring dealer in GA. Chris had no issue with me purchasing the floor directly from the dealer, and also helped me to estimate how much flooring was needed. The flooring was direct shipped to my residence, and even with shipping cost, was less than most of the hickory flooring that I looked at locally. Chris called me the day prior to the date the job was going to start to confirm we were still ready to proceed, and to coordinate plans to provide access to the house. Chris showed up on time, on the initial date he had given me when he quoted the job and got after it. Chris is very efficient at everything he does, and the tile demolition was complete after day 3 (already ahead of his time line), Flooring started going in on day 4. Chris started with the transition between the formal dining room (current hickory flooring), and the kitchen (new hickory flooring). Chris was able to cut back into every other board of the old hickory flooring, replace it with the new hickory flooring, then continue on into the kitchen. The effect was a complete seamless flow of flooring from old to new (no transition molding, ect). I was blown away. Needless to say the rest of installation was conducted with the same level of excellence. The flooring install was basically complete on day 8, at which time, Chris brought in his finishing man "Pete", to install / paint the foot molding that was added to the current 3 inch floor molding in the house. The molding install was excellent, and Pete went over and above by not only  painting the foot molding, but also repainting the 3 inch base molding to ensure both molding matched thoughout the entire job area.  The end result was impressive. We completed the final walk through 1 day ahead of Chris's original completion date, and I was completely satisfied with the entire project. I did not have a single issue with anything - just blown away. It should be noted that I have extremely high expectation, and do 99% of my own home improvement work. I have even installed my own hardwood flooring in the past, but due to time constraints at work, and the size of the project, I felt like I needed to contract out this project. A few overall comments about CNB hardwood flooring: 1. Chris is professional, friendly, and courteous (fairly yong guy also to have obtained these skiils). 2. He stood behind his quote, never changing the price, and actually did some "flooring customization" (very cool stuff) for no charge. 3. Started the job on time, cleaned up each day (even during the demoliiton which was a significant amount of work), and completed the job 1 day ahead of schedule. 4. Chris's expectations for his own work were greater than mine (and my expectations are extremely high). 5. He also did some very cool work on "cutting in" the flush mount hickory floor vents that look custom. 6. His quote was more then fair, and I feel that Chris definately  "worked" for every dollar he made on this job. 7. Chris made me feel like I was a valued customer, and he was more interested in exceeding my expectatons than jst meeting them. Lastly, I typically do not fill out evaluations on line, again partly because I do most of my own work. Based on the excellent work Chris did on customizing my current house, I felt obligated to make these comment. Chris is the MAN, thank you for the awsome work, and I will never personally lay hard wook floor again, as I now know the "hardwood floor master". Thanks, Rob

BMIGALA CARPET ONE FLOOR & HOME
Everything went as scheduled. We told them we wanted to stay at a $5,000 limit. The sales person said no problem and helped us pick out the materials. Then after she totaled our order it was $7,000. $2,000 over our max. They said they could lower the price by taking out some things but all the things they wanted to take out was on our end only...we had to do all the compromising...not them. And they still then only got it down by $500. We did not want to compromise the materials we already picked out (that they helped us pick out for our price range) so we paid the $7,000...which was still less than all the other (6) places we had compared. Quality and workmanship was good.

After getting several quotes for refinishing our wood floors, we decided to go with Chris.  He was very easy to work with, polite, and professional.  We were on a tight schedule to get our floors refinished from a light oak color to a dark brown before we moved into the house.  Chris was able to start work the day after we closed on the property even though that meant working on a weekend!  Chris completed the job on schedule before our furniture was delivered.  Unfortunately, we didn't see the floors until the day before the movers arrived.  Overall the floors looked FANTASTIC, but there were a few small areas that needed to be touched up with stain (Inside of the air vents, corners, few areas on the stairs, etc.)  Also, we had asked for an extra-durable topcoat because we have 2 cats and didn't want their nails to scratch the floor, however after just a few days the cats were scratching the finish on the floor.  Plus, our movers also damaged the floor in a couple areas.  I contacted Chris and he immediately came out to correct the stain issues and repair the areas the movers damaged.  He also buffed out the cat scratches in the original top-coat and applied a stronger top-coat to the entire floor and stairs which was a bit of an inconvenience because we had to move all our furniture off of the entire first floor of the house but in the end it was definitely worth it.   We haven't had any issues with scratching since.  The floor and stairs look wonderful, smooth finish and very even color. I would definitely recommend Chris and will look to use C.N.B Hardwood Floors again in the future!
