Josh was very responsive in all discussions regarding sizing, models, options and planning the installation. Once we agreed on the materials, we setup a time to meet at my house to go over the installation. He confirmed the unit could go where we wanted it and pointed out where the ductwork would go. He brought along a very generic contract and was ready to take a down payment for half of the installation cost on the spot. Uncomfortable with this, the first time meeting him, we decided to hold off until we could discuss it further and we also requested a list of the exact model numbers of the equipment being installed so we could see if the numbers added up. We also requested to see his HVAC license which he did not have on him at the time. He soon after emailed me an itemized list (without pricing) of the items required for installation and a picture copy of his HVAC license. Satisfied, I met Josh at a gas station halfway between my home and his, and provided him with the signed contract and check for the down payment. Afterward, he maintained communication as we decided on an installation date. He notified me that the parts had come in, and wanted to commence work that following Monday. He ended up cancelling on Monday. Tuesday, same thing, had an emergency call from his day job, so wouldn't be able to make it at the scheduled time. Finally Wednesday rolls around, he's on his way, and yet again gets another on-call job at a party store to fix a freezer. He says he's just finishing up and on his way, and that was the last communication I had with him. I have made every effort to try to contact him, but clearly this was, or turned into a scam.
