Reviews in Coopersville to Install or Replace Heat Pumps
ARedmon Heating & Cooling
House was built in 1929. Based on other's recommendations, I originally asked for installation of a heat pump for a porch that had been closed in but not heated and cooled. They arrived ready to install the heat pump. But after inspecting the attic and prior duct placement, they determined the porch could be heated and cooled less expensively by installing new duct work. They took the heat pump back and and installed the new duct that same day.

Calls back in a timely fashion and shows up when he says he will. Seems to not take much pride in the work, does the work needed but does not go above and beyond. He did not suggest a long term fix for why the unit keeps leaking freon. After replacing the blower motor there was a rattle so he just hit the side of the unit and when it rattled again he just packed up and left.

APATTON MECHANICAL LLC
Completed when promised, took the amount of time stated (just under a week). Operating costs so far are within estimated amount for heating and cooling. Provides comfortable heating and air conditioning. Air conditioning is especially economical with total cooling cost of only $30. The installed cost is high for geothermal heat pumps, but the operating cost is about 1/3 to 1/4 the cost of propane for those not able to get natural gas. Great Lakes Energy, my electric utility was also easy to work with and provided a meter and meter base for a reduced rate for the power used for the heating cooling system. The heat pump also provides some assistance in heating hot water. There was a problem with the heat pump (the contactor failed), but the problem was promptly diagnosed and repaired and is now working normally. The installed equipment is manufactured by WaterFurnace and comes with a 10 year warranty.

Frontier explained to me all of my options and helped me decide what was the best option for my home considering my family and budget as well. The installation was very easy and they really did a great job of cleaning up after themselves. My dog even got a treat. I am very happy to refer them to anyone who is considering replacing their heating or air conditioning unit.

They were very helpful in making the decision to purchase the heat pump instead of a gas furnace. The owner made several trips to our house to discuss the job with us. Never any pressure, just straightforward information shared. System is in and working well.

I saw them in your list so I clicked on them to see what other people were saying. They were good. They came in, got the job done and on time when they said they would, cleaned up neat and quick. They were very professional. They weren't the cheapest but they were probably the best.

They seemed pretty competitive. They probably would have been my second choice. I don't think they were most knowledgeable about grounds toward heat pumps. I think they are probably a good choice for gas furnaces and air conditioning systems. It was a free quote. They seem to be pretty knowledgeable and thorough. They had a good price and they're one of the most competitive on price.

Josh was very responsive in all discussions regarding sizing, models, options and planning the installation. Once we agreed on the materials, we setup a time to meet at my house to go over the installation. He confirmed the unit could go where we wanted it and pointed out where the ductwork would go. He brought along a very generic contract and was ready to take a down payment for half of the installation cost on the spot. Uncomfortable with this, the first time meeting him, we decided to hold off until we could discuss it further and we also requested a list of the exact model numbers of the equipment being installed so we could see if the numbers added up. We also requested to see his HVAC license which he did not have on him at the time. He soon after emailed me an itemized list (without pricing) of the items required for installation and a picture copy of his HVAC license. Satisfied, I met Josh at a gas station halfway between my home and his, and provided him with the signed contract and check for the down payment. Afterward, he maintained communication as we decided on an installation date. He notified me that the parts had come in, and wanted to commence work that following Monday. He ended up cancelling on Monday. Tuesday, same thing, had an emergency call from his day job, so wouldn't be able to make it at the scheduled time. Finally Wednesday rolls around, he's on his way, and yet again gets another on-call job at a party store to fix a freezer. He says he's just finishing up and on his way, and that was the last communication I had with him. I have made every effort to try to contact him, but clearly this was, or turned into a scam. A criminal background history exposed no previous civil cases in Michigan, but numerous other criminal charges. Please avoid at all costs.

Came back after sale/installation to inquire how things were going and to make adjustments. Very professional through whole process. Would recommend this company for Lennox. W. Mich Heating & Air was another that I had trust in but was just a bit higher. Did nt trust BellAire.

Installation went on time and as expected with minimal inconvenience. We've experienced two problems with the system since installation. A fan motor out-of-balance and a control problem on the heat pump unit. It took a couple of trips for them to replace the motor instead of trying to rebalance but both repairs were done with fair expedience and problem solved. They also came a couple of times to fine tune the thermostat adjustments. We've had several different service personnel and all have been cordual and professional. Overall we're happy. Now we'll see how it goes over time.

Business Description: Hey y’all! I’m back in town! I’ve spent the last ten years down south in Jacksonville, NC. I originally started my trade in the United States Marine Corps. During my seven years as a US Marine I was assigned to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 26 aboard MCAS New River in Jacksonville, NC. My responsibilities were the upkeep and maintenance of the mobile facilities where the Avionics Technician Marines worked. After finishing my service, I focused my attention on continuing to perform services in my area of expertise, which included keeping folks comfortable. I can assure you that I know first-hand about wanting to be comfortable from living in the south. There is no heat like southern heat. In September of 2018, amid the chaos and turmoil of Hurricane Florence, my family and I were forced to relocate back to Kentwood, Michigan. Through my years in this industry I have seen the financial toll it takes to be comfortable in your own home. I have worked for companies, spending countless hours in a service truck to ensure others are comfortable at a great price. Offering top quality service to repair and replace based on the “company guidebook price book.” Comfort shouldn’t cost you everything and that is what I am here to do. I have a skill that I am an expert at and a service that I love to provide. I will provide you with excellent heating and/or air conditioning service. My goal is to serve my local community with a comfort system that you not only desire, but at a price you can afford.
