Recent Review: Romans was very helpful and professional when he came out to give me a price. After the liner was replaced though I noticed craters underneath the liner. When I called to ask what could be done they stated they would have to remove the liner to fix the craters. I did not want to drain the pool again so I did not have this done.

Recent Review: I ordered a $2000 130,000 BTU pool heater for my 27' above ground pool in 2012. They installed it and I had trouble heating it from day one. I thought I didn't have a big enough heater. I discovered the problem this year (2014) and that was that their "experts" installed it wrong. The intake and outgoing pipes were opposite so there was never any heated water going back into the pool. I went in and showed them pictures of the arrows going in and out of the pool and how it was opposite and they sent the same guy out to fix it as installed it. He was here 15 minutes, turned my filter and moved it over so it would reach the heater without redoing or making the pipes long enough to reach. Didn't look good, but that is how they "fixed" their mistake. A month later, the pool heater stopped working. When we opened it up, where the pipes go in was all rusted. The repairman said he would see what he could do. I told him it has not worked since we had them install it and it was only 2 years old. (but out of warranty) Their answer was the same as I have heard before. They never checked the chemicals when he came out. I quote:  "Suspect improper chemical balance, PH was very low. (Acidic water causes copper heat exchanges to deteriorate no warranty." In other words, not their problem and they would not admit to any wrong doing on their part. You be the judge, is this a business you want to spend money with?

DDavison Pool & Spa
Terrible. Contract stated 3 weeks, took over 7 weeks. Fence was improperly installed (posts and fencing all in one day so posts didn't cure properly) and started to sag 2 weeks after installation. Also safety gates wouldn't shut after 1 week. Called Davison Pools to have problem fixed, and what they did was jimmy the gate at the bottom to force it to close and then mound dirt around the sinking post and called it good. Said they couldn't be responsible for Michigan weather??? Opened up the pool this season and pool liner was coming out of the track in 5 places! It has only been 1/2 a season that it was open last year (2016). Called to have it repaired and received no response! Don't go with Davison Pools unless you want to spend $$$$ on a pool that the liner is falling off and a fence that is sinking.

WE WERE REALLY IMPRESSED WITH THEIR OVERALL SERVICE. EVERYTHING WAS DONE TO OUR PLAN, AND THE ENTIRE CREW WAS VERY GOOD. WE'VE HAD FRIENDS THAT SPENT MONTHS HAVING THEIR POOLS INSTALLED, BUT WE HAD NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER.

ASuperior Carpentry
I emailed James asking for a bid.  He replied the same day and came to my house a couple days later to look at the project.  Better yet, as busy as he was, he sent me a bid the very next day.  I?m not sure if he is the lowest price around, but his bid was significantly lower than the only other bid I solicited and it seemed very fair to me. James shows up on time, works hard all day long, and knows what he?s doing.  He started my project on schedule and completed on schedule.  He is able to handle last minute design changes and does quality work.  I don?t know how he lowered my pergola, but he did and it turned out great. Everything turned out great!  Judging from other reviews, James is just as skilled in other areas of general contracting work as he is in deck building.  I have a wooden privacy fence that should be replaced and I will certainly call James when I?m ready to start that project.  I highly recommend Superior Carpentry for your next project.

They are great. They also come out if I have any problems. I know that they also install pools but mine is already installed. They are timely. If they say that they are going to be here at 7:00, they are here at 6:45. I love them. Their pricing is comparable to others, even a little cheaper I think.

FRML DECORATIVE CONCRETE
They were the most incompetent, apathetic company to work with - I can provide photos of the work that is still having to be fixed at this time we are going on almost a year. The total job was over $80,000 and the owner has made it pretty clear he's not sorry or interested in making it right. So many things have went wrong with this and this is still not completed. Rick feels that he no longer has any liability for this because he has since "passed" the ownership of this company on to Greg and feels he can walk away... Rick M Luth - has sevl LLC's

FMichigan Pools And Spas
This company is a joke. I was impressed at the initial meeting with Robert Reynolds, but once the pool process started it all changed. My pool was started on May 2nd and is still not finished (June 20, 2011). On May 2nd, the excavator contractor was onsite at 7 am and Bob did not show up with the plans until after 10:30. Bob was demanding for all the money up front and hasn't completed anything. I had to hire my own concrete company to finish the pool, my own fence company to fence the pool. My pool pump burned up because his company left the pump on without any water running through it. I am currently in the process of finding a new pool pump. Bob will not return my phone calls. He is very unprofessional.

DOnsite Pools LLC
How did it go? As stated above. They started working on my filter August 10 and it was not totally repaired intil August 24 by another company. It was a horrible experience with OnSite pool not admitting to any wrongdoing. They told me they came out five time for the filter but hey were not able to fix the problem. THEY DID NOT KNOW HOW TO EXCHANGE SAND IN A SAND FILTER. They told me they did not charge me for all the times they came out. IF THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING, they would not have had to come out four more times. Poor company poor service. I would not reccomend this company  to anyone.  In response to my e-mail they said  they sorry I was dissapointed in their work. Am I supposed to be happy with water shooting out of a sand filter? Water all over the floor of my pool shed? And I paid them!!!!  I'M GOING TO COURT NEXT.
