Recent Review: Provider was very responsive with quote and scheduling.  Did an outstanding job, and make contact after application to ensure I was satisfied with job done and to address any issues.   Debottis made sure the seal coating was applied to asphalt an not mating stamped concrete sidewalk or adjacent concrete garage door entry ways.  Extremely satisfied and will be doing business with Debottis again.   Only regret is I never got to or needed to meet the actual people at Debottis.

Recent Review: The Yeager team did an excellent job on a difficult residential roof with many peaks and valleys. They were professional, on time and went the extra mile to make sure I was 100% satisfied. I obtained a few estimates from various roofing companies but settled on them to do the job due to their experience with Decra and their overall reputation. If you are going to invest in steel roofing, don't scrimp and save a few dollars by using inexperienced roofers. You'll have a nightmare on your hands. Yeager's pricing was competitive but they got the job based on experience and I had a prior positive experience with them putting in a 300 ft. asphalt driveway at my home 2 years ago. I'm completely satisfied with the work they did and I'm not easy to please. Thanks Josh, Mitch, Dave, Wayne and the rest of the crew that worked hard to do the job right!

Recent Review: They've done work for me for a couple of years and I was pleased the first time I used their services. I asked them to give me an estimate for my driveway. They came out the next day and edged the driveway for a price which I thought was amazing. The following year, I called them before I went for a vacation because I wanted the driveway sealed before I came home. They went ahead and did it but it rained that afternoon which affected the sealants. I came home and I was so unhappy when I looked at it. After I got home, I wrote the gentleman a check but he didn't pick it up. I called and asked him why he didn't come for the check. I opened up that I wasn't happy about the driveway but he said that he felt the same as well. He came back and redid the whole driveway free of charge. I ended up paying $160 which was double and I thought it was a bad price. They were very neat and there wasn't any spatter anywhere. They were prompt and worked fast. I've recommended them to family members and in fact, they've also sealed my parents' driveway.

Recent Review: The service technician was very informative, gave me several options, pros and cons of other things I might want to do. The office called me back within a week and scheduled and approximate date the following week. They called me two days before it was going to be done and then arrived exactly as scheduled. They did the work exactly as they said they would. Completely satisfied with the work done.

Several low spots and when I asked them to come over to talk about and let me show them my complaint they never did. I withheld a small portion of bill (which was to high) until they contacted me and then they called and threatened me... Very poor customer service and if I had not been in and out of the hospital over the last year would have definitely looked for another company.

On-site contract & down payment made. Work attempted but carport not high enough for equipment to go under as stated by project estimator & co-owner. Several emails and unanswered calls that took two weeks to get a refund and no sorry for your inconvenience.

Our first contact was with Mark S. who came out and gave us an estimate.  We wanted a fairly large circular drive and felt their price for that was acceptable.  We also approved of how Mark wrote up the estimate, with size breakdowns on a professional looking form. After we committed to the project, they came out and did a very nice grade.  On paving day, the crew showed up on time and did a terrific job. The driveway is nicely sculpted and looks great!

AFERRAZZA Cement
Removed existing asphalt driveway and hauled away.  Installed forms, corrected layout with smooth curves and matching to existing sidewalks and street.  Prepared base by scraping and filling to proper depth for six inches of concrete. Tamped base with compactor and installed rebar.    Poured concrete on second day.  Nine competent people worked together to pour, smooth, level and stamp edges. Next day the surface was completed by cutting expansion slots and applying a sealer. Landscaping was repaired, sod cut back and black dirt added to match driveway height.  Waste material was hauled away.     Tony Ferrazza, the owner/contractor, was present every day and worked right along with his men.  Several times as questions arose, he explained the situation and asked for our input.  We are very pleased with the results.

The driveway was cracking after less than a year and she was unhappy about that. The driveway started showing signs of cracking along the edges. We just had a guy come look at it yesterday. You are not suppose to take the asphalt all the way to the end of the base for the whip. You want the base to extend. Both our neighbor and I had had the driveways done at the same time and she had like sinking problems in the center first and big crack where water can get in and then pull the base material away and ruin the driveway. I think it was a reasonable quote. I know they came in low for a quote. They used less materials, so if you want to learn a little bit about driveway they can educate you. I don't think they were like drastically lower than anyone, but they have competitive rates because they have a smaller crew, so normally it takes 6 for a paving crew and they have 4. They cut cost there and then with the lack of asphalt, so if you want your driveway to last you will want 4 inches; here they only put two. We tried to get them out here and basically we had them, two recipients of the driveway and two customers and then the other company and then the asphalt guy basically making sure the materials were solid. They came over and they wouldn't even allow the home owners, the customers to talk to the asphalt guy because he was still pissed off and offended. They made my mom and my neighbors stay inside their home.

They are honest and trustworthy. They did what they said they would do. With regard to price, they were right in the ballpark.

AAllied Construction
The Allied Construction team was nothing but professional from the beginning to the end.  The provided a detailed quote, along with a drawing and dimensions on the very first afternoon.  I referred to the drawing and dimensions while they were grading, to ensure I was going to get what we agreed to.  Each time I called with question or concern, I was talked to in a professional manner and my concern (no matter how big or small) was taken seriously and answered with respect and concern.  In the end, I have a beautifully laid asphalt drive, which met or exceeded the detailed drawing (they extended the drive toward the road at no extra cost) and the finished product looks great.  It rained the day it was laid and there are absolutely no puddles nor problems with run off.  I couldn't have asked for a better experience and the end product is robust, high quality.  I will recommend Allied to anyone that asks about asphalt or gravel driveways.  Great company!

In the Spring of 2012, my wife and I began speaking with asphalt companies in the Genesee County area in a effort to receive estimates for asphalting our existing gravel driveway.  Our drive way is 18 foot wide by 177 foot long, so we knew it was going to be expensive, especially with the additional parking area we wanted to add.  After speaking with 6 different companies and receiving bids from each, some in excess of $12,000, we went with a locally owned and family operated company named Chippewa Asphalt.  The work was supposed to happen in the spring of 2012, but due to local road constructions projects that no one at either the Genesee County Road Commision or Mundy Township could give us a definitive time schedule for, we had to push the project back until October.  After the Road Commision finally finished paving the road we live on, Chippewa was able to do their thing.  In a matter of 2 days we had a new driveway and couldn't be happier with the appearance, quality workmanship, and attention to detail that Josh and his crew gave us.  Their wonderful customer service, willingness to do the job I wanted done, and flexibility in working with us given the road construction situation are just some of the many reasons I would advise you to call Chippewa Asphalt for any asphalting job you may have. This is an Update to the original post:  My driveway is now 18 months old, and already it is breaking apart.  Last summer July of 2013, when this driveway had only been down for 8-9 months, I started noticing cracks forming along the tamped edges all the way around the perimeter.  I called Chippewa and explained the problem and they put me on the schedule to have the guys come out and heat up the edges and tamp them again.  I also asked to have the driveway sealed while they were here, two birds with one stone, right?  Well, the driveway got sealed and approx. 20 linear feet of driveway edge appeared to have been heated up and tamped.  I called the next day and spoke the office staff regarding two things.  One, the guys left without finishing the job and didn't say a word to me or my wife. Two: I needed to pay for the seal coating (almost $400).  I was told by the lady(owners wife) in the office that she wanted Josh (owners son) to come out and look at the driveway.  Until she was able to get him out there, she was going to hold off billing me for the seal coat.  Over the next several weeks, I touched base with the office several times and was given the same stock answer of "Josh is really busy working on a big job down in the Detroit area", "I keep trying to get him out there to look at it", "I'll leave him another message".  I'll admit, I wasn't as persistent as I should have been in having this taken care of before the snow flew.  Well, now that winter is over I am trying to get this taken care of and yet again it seems that I am getting caught up in a game of phone tag and so far, one unreturned email.  I was able to speak with Josh on 4/10/2014 and was told "I'll try and get out there later this afternoon or tomorrow to look at it".  "I'll knock, if no one is home, I'll give you a call".  It's now Monday 4/14/2014 at 3:45pm and I still haven't heard a word.  Needless to say I am getting frustrated with being pushed to the back burner.  Perhaps they will see this update, and realize that they are need of performing some "service recovery" (I believe that is the buzz-phrase being used right now) in hopes of keeping a once happy customer, happy!
