We were very happy with them. They were professional and quick to respond. They were here when they said that they would be here. We had one little problem where it sank a little lower than where it was supposed to and they fixed that right away. I asked them to write it in that if there was going to be another problem then they would come out and fix it as part of the deal. They said that they would as a sure thing and that there was no problem in doing that. They were very easy to work with. They were very co-operative and efficient. We had no complaints. They wrote what happened to go wrong and that they would come back if there was any other problem. So, we were happy. It got bunched in with the other things and so, I don't know the exact price but I think that they were reasonable. They seemed fair and reasonable. They dug a hole and filled it. The quality of their work was very good and so was their responsiveness. Their punctuality was excellent. Their professionalism was very good.

CGROUNDBREAKING TECHNOLOGY
They started the job but they got so busy that they couldn't finish the landscaping part.  They replaced a drain field. If you have city water but not city sewer and you have to pay for your drain field it can be very expensive. I spent about $4400. A bigger company would have their own vehicles for excavating. This guy and his wife came out to do the work and I think it got too overwhelming for them. They dug a 60 foot hole in the ground and they run the pipe work in it. Its a pretty involved process. It was our first time using them. I would not recommend them because they did not finish their job. They left and were supposed to bring in topsoil and so on to pay down. So my husband and I finished up on our own.

ATUBERGEN CONSTRUCTION INC
Tubergen preformed the work within 48 hours of my call. He was responsive on the telephone. The staff were courteous, efficient, and cleaned up the dirt they excavated in the process. They worked with the City of Grand Rapids to change the line out to the road as well. I couldn't be happier with their work.

They did a very high quality job, with minimal collateral damage to landscaping. They were great to work with, though we had some misfires on when the job could get done. But I believe that was due more to the fact that excavation companies have been super busy in our area. These folks couldn't be nicer. And really exceeded my expectations in the final execution. I would highly recommend them.

My driveway is no longer straight. It was dug too low, now I have to mow on angle. The drive is no longer level with yard. The excavation mess was extreme. Had to remove a pickup truck load of dirt after completion. He removed too much dirt, that's why my new driveway is too low. The mess he left afterwards was incredible. my neighbors yard had at least 20 3" screws in the grass for someone to step on or her lawn mower to hit. I filled an Everkept dumpster half full with concrete and stones left on the curb in front of my neighbors house. My back steps which I paid extra to have replaced is now 2' smaller. I had to rake cement chunks out of my neighbors yard 5' from my drive. My original drive was 8' wide now it is 94" 94 1/2" 95" and 96". Clearly was in too big of a hurry to properly place the forms. They may be good at septics and foundations but do not hire for residential drives. I was extremely disappointed.

FDIRT CHEAP EXCAVATING
If your looking for quality work, would like to be mislead and pay double your quoted price, look no further. I had the owner, Kenny Wittenbach, come out and bid on the excavation for a custom home I was building.  He was very cheerful, pleasant and easy going.  He gave me an estimate of $8,000.  After meeting with him I felt very trusting.  We did have one minor change that should have been $1,500.  We were not half way through the project and he had already billed $10,000.  I think I would be over $20,000 if I kept going.   I will be renting equipment to finish my job now that he has eaten up the budget he set for me.   If you would like for information and would like to see the project feel free to call me  (616) 745-6623.
