Recent Review: All went well.  He did what needed  to be  done.   He was pleasant and informative and wasted no time.  It took him a little over an hour. His service charge was $89 and the part was $68.  He had  the part in his truck which was great. I'd recommend him and use him again for sure .  I was kinda surprised at the  cost as it was a little less than 1/2 the  cost of a new  stove, but at this point I had no choice as I've never had a service call before.  Had I known, I would have seriously considered buying a new one since this one is 16 years old.  My  fault. The part has a cost and because he came so quickly and took care of the repair, the fee was warranted.   I never asked price. He came immediately and provided  the service immediately.   Anyway. I'm happy.

Recent Review: Jim fixed the igniters on the first trip. Then he evaluated the problem with the isemaker which required a new part. We made arrangements to have him return in 2 days with the part and install it, which he did. Everything is working great! I hope nothing goes wrong with any of my appliances again, but if it does, I will definitely call jim!

Mike was one of the few people I could find willing to even look at a cool old 1950s Caloric stove I bought for my camp. I was natural gas and he came to try to get it working on propane. I have to say, initially I was worried, as I seemed to be telling him more than he was telling me about the unit! However, he persisted and fiddled around with it until he figured out where the valves were and how to adjust them. Now it works! I am very happy with the results. Unfortunately, he could not get the broiler working, but it seemed like that was a bad part, possibly.

ACOLE'S APPLIANCE SERVICE
Cole was responsive, courteous and professional when we contacted him several times about a stove issue. We ended up replacing the stove and not needing Cole's services, but I would definitely contact him again for an appliance repair. We called Cole when the electric control panel on our gas stove broke. Cole responded right away on the cost of the replacement part, which was about half the cost of the new stove. Cole provided his input on whether or not we should repair our current stove or get a new one (saying that it was a close call, which we agreed with). I thought this showed integrity as obviously it would be better for an appliance repair person to recommend the repair. When we decided to get a new stove, Cole let us know that he did not provide installation for gas appliances, but he referred us to another local provider for the work. I really appreciated Cole's responsiveness. While I hope all of our appliances stay in working order, I'm calling Cole if we end up needing a future repair.

FAppliance Service Today-Mike Giroux Repair
I contacted Mike yesterday after being advised by my tenant in our Brusnwick Maine home that the oven had suddenly stopped working in our kitchen stove. I called Mike after he was recommended by a few friends. He seemed a little short on the phone, but I thought maybe it was because I'd called at 8 in the evening. I provided him with the make and model number, told him that the oven was not turning on or heating up at all and he said he could be by any time the next day. I was happy with that and passed on the info to my tenant as I live in Missouri. My tenant called the next day as Mike had asked to let him know when would be a good time to come by that day as almost all day was free. She said he first told her he knew nothing of the job. She told him about speaking with me last night and he then did remember. He then started making strange objections like he didn't know the broiler was also out and that he didn't realize it was an electric rather than gas stove (which we'd talked about). She said ultimately it sounded like he just didn't want to do the job and he finally declined all together. This was very surprising for both of us and I was left to call someone else who would come out and look at our oven.
