Recent Review: We purchased a house two years ago that had a poor water system due to delayed maintenance on the part of the previous owner.  The well water was hard, and had some amount of sediment coming into the house as well.  These issues had caused havoc with the boiler which was partially clogged with hard water buildup along with the sediment providing barely useable hot water pressure for the house. The rest of the house water pressure was also very poor due to a failing pressure tank that was close to the end of its useable life. We decided 18 months ago to look at what could be done to fix these issues and start talking to vendors about solutions.  Randy was the first vendor to come to our house and was very helpful.  He spent over an hour thoroughly investigating our setup and doing a free water test.  He was very easy going and friendly during his visit and was not ?salesy? at all. We got a proposal shortly after which looked like a solid solution at a reasonable price. Not long after we had a second child and we ended up delaying the water repairs and only just got ready to get the work done in the last month (December 2014).  We had three other vendors come to our house to do estimates. One of them looked over the system and then proceeded to bad-mouth competitors, but never followed up with a quote or return any of our follow-up emails.  The other two offered similar proposals to Randy but were more expensive. We eventually decided to go for a more high-end system than our original plan?opting for a Grundfos constant pressure system, along with a sediment filter and water softener.  We called Randy last week and asked him for an updated estimate factoring in the constant pressure system and he had it back to us in less than 24 hours. His quote was competitive to others we received and we decided to go with him for the work. A couple of days before the scheduled installation Randy let us know that he had a family issue come up and offered to do it a day earlier if that would work.  We were able to work with that and he turned up promptly at the agreed upon time and got straight to work. He installed the systems on schedule, including having to run out to his supplier to replace a faulty part.  He did a beautiful job with the installations and showed great attention to detail.  It is clear that he takes great pride in his work and loves what he does.  In spending time talking to him while he worked it was easy to see that he is a genuinely nice guy too! Unfortunately when he fired the new system up, the water pressure was great throughout the house for cold water, but there was no hot water at all. It turned out that the boiler mixer valve (which was previously in bad shape) had finally given up and the newly boosted pressure had caused some of the sediment to clog up in the water heating coil. Obviously after investing in a high end system we were really bummed and stressed to not have hot water in the house and Randy was disappointed to leave us with a less than perfect situation even though it was no fault of his at all.  We have known for a long time that the boiler wasn?t in great shape (we were already in the process of getting estimates to add an indirect-fired water heater to solve this problem), and Randy?s only crime was to be unlucky enough to be the guy standing there when the proverbial hit the fan. Even though he had no obligation or reason to do so, he did offer us a discount because he was disappointed that we were not able to enjoy the new system as we had all been hoping. Before leaving he did his best to help us track down a heating technician to help us out ASAP, and then followed up with us the following day to see how we were getting along.  It is abundantly clear that Randy genuinely cares about the satisfaction of his customers, and we can unreservedly recommend him to anyone.

Recent Review: From top to bottom, start to finish, this was one of my best experiences with a contractor. The work was performed ahead of schedule with a minimum of inconvenience to me. Connor, Chris, Mark, Jason and the crew were awesome: personable, professional and knowledgeable. The result is a beautiful and quiet new Buderus boiler with indirect water heater. I couldn't be happier. Thanks guys!

Recent Review: Ed was very courteous and professional each step of the way. While I told him about what I thought needed to be done, he could easily see it with the pipes. He tested water samples from the well and also as from the sink, evaluated my water and determined the level of hardness.  He explained the type of water softener he would choose and why. He was able to get the system very quickly from his distributor. I was impressed with how quickly he was able to have the system fully installed and reroute a couple of other inefficiencies. He also created a better backwash system as the old had a chance of backing up into sink water. Ed even explained the effects I would notice afterwards. Less detergent in the clothes washer and less soap to make things clean. The best part was how there was a noticeable difference in the way my hair felt. Since moving in, I didn't realize how hard water could be damaging to my hair. Much less product is wasted and it's so much softer! He discussed maintenance of the system (which there is very little and I like!). I give Ed two thumbs up and would definitely recommend his services!

I can't remember the exact date or the cost of the service.  We have an artesian well and of course, hard water.  Our water softener system wasn't working properly.  We also had two toilets that were leaking at the base of each one.  One of the toilets also kept running after we flushed it so I wanted them to fix that as well.  They were able to fix the leaky toilets.  They said they fixed the flushing/running toilet problem.  Then, as far as the water softener, the guy told me "I am more of a city plumber - I don't know much about wells and hard water systems".  So, he never fixed the water softener and didn't even have any suggestions on what to do. When I made the appointment I was sure to tell them exactly what I needed the plumber for.  So, I was irritated they didn't tell me about the limited experience the guy had on water softeners before I set the appointment.  Then, a week later, our toilet started acting up again, continuously running after we flushed.  Nice guy - but I won't hire him again.

We had previously gotten quotes from 2 franchise companies that seemed quite high, and didn't do what we needed. Craig from Advanced Water Quality Solutions spent time with us to determine exactly what we needed and provided us with a detailed quote. The price was roughly half of what the other 2 companies quoted us. Craig installed the system, which works perfectly. We are now able to drink our tap water again. Very happy with the service.

I've had work recently but I didn't use Angie's List, actually I tried to use Angie's List and the person I contacted gave me the run around and never came through with the appointment I wanted. They did work in the area and they said, "Oh yeah, we'll get over there and I'll get back to you, I'm working there right now in that area," and I waited 3 weeks and I never got a call back or anything so I called and said, "Did you forget me?", and they said, "Oh no, no, I'm gonna get over there." Well, I think I called them one more time and then that was that. Maybe a call back to the home owner would be a good thing to do. You know, just say, "Oh, I'm not gonna be there", I mean, he never called back! It sounded to me that this person did not even wanna deal with it. So maybe that wasn't his forte or whatever. I don't know what his problem was. I would say it was a bad experience. They put me off a whole month. The price would've been nice, I would've saved some money. The responsiveness was bad.

Randy arrived early on Saturday morning with all his tools, etc. nice and neat. As I am a neat-freak, I admired this! Anyway, He made sure the system was all in working order and explained some things to me. I was able to clean the floor now that I had more room, which made me so happy! He took a water sample after the installation and will let me know all about that in a day or so. I am very happy with his service and would recommend him to anyone.
