first off dawn from the office was great. She coordinated all scheduling and paperwork that needed to be done. She called three times before the job started and right after the job was done to make sure I was happy with everything. Todd the owner was very knowledgeable and explained all my options. They showed up on time and were professional. The job took about four hours and looked great. I am very happy and would highly recommend them.

Vaughan Woodruff delivered top-notch work from beginning to end. I recommend this company without reservation. In addition to the work delivered, Vaughan consulted and advised on several other projects that we investigated and decided against; but, we felt that we were well served whether or not we went ahead.

All services were performed as contracted. Quality was superb. Particularly impressed with air ducting design. Much thought was put in to where delivery ducts and returns should be located. Communication throughout project was excellent. System has been installed for four months, and efficiency is great and air movement is as expected. All services were performed on time an as agreed to.

FSEARS HOME IMPROVEMENT PRODUCTS
I went with Sears because they boasted of the fine workers they had that were all Licensed and certified to install these systems and because Sears is a large company. The electrician arrived on time and completed his work in a timely manner. The heat pump installer arrived at 10 AM which was an hour late, played loud music, and used my tools without asking. He smoked more cigarettes outside and spent more time on the cell phone than a teenager. Suddenly, he had to leave at 3:55 PM, to get more parts. He returned at 5:15 PM with only one part, collected his tools and left. He said he'd be back at 12 noon the following day. The following day came and at 1:00 PM, I called Sears telling them that I didn't want that man back in my house. They asked if he could finish the job and I said, "No." Sears found another installer, who arrived at 6:30 PM. He said nothing about the job the prior man had done, worked quickly and was out of my house by 10:30 PM. I had the temperature set at 68 degrees and it was cooler outside than in. I again called Sears. They found another installer who could come the next day. This man was from another company and had to drive a long way to get to my house. He said that he fixes a lot of Sears "messes." He explained to me all the water on the floor in my basement was caused by the rubberized copper tubing being pulled inside my house instead of pushed out, resulting in numerous tears. He said the original installer was alone and it's hard to do alone and that he should have had help. The second installer did not add a clamp to the pump, which resulted in water dripping on the floor. He also did not notice the filters were bad and needed to be changed. He saw a lot of ice inside the heat pump itself. Did what he could and said he'd return the following day with help. They arrived on time and installed a new rubberized hose from inside to outside, put the clamp on the pump, let the ice melt, installed new filters. My last surprise was to find the wall in my basement has been ruined from all the water. I've attempted to contact Sears without success of their return call. I will keep trying. After the other serviceman fixed the problem, I did have a few days of comfort from the central air. Have turned the machine off since we've been having fall like weather here!

BAnthony Plumbing Heating & Cooling
They did good work, but I also had that kind of feeling that they'll take advantage of me if I didn't know exactly what was really wrong. They would kind of be in that middle ground where I would be hesitant to use them, but if I had an emergency I would do it because I have to have somebody come in because they sort of misdiagnosed something on my heat pump once too. It was going to cost me $800, but it ended up costing me $200 when I had my nephew, who's a cooling and heating student, come and see if he could figure it out. They were going to charge me for a whole panel, but he came in and said that he noticed that my orifices needed cleaning, so he cleaned them and it worked fine. They have a good reputation around town, but that kind of bummed me out and I don't know if I could use them again. The first couple of things they did for me I thought were okay. I knew a little bit about the issue that was going on, so when they started going down this other road I got paranoid and did a double check and found out that I didn't need what they were trying to sell me, so I got a little bit nervous about them. When they came in they decided that my circuit board was bad and that was causing it to misfire which was going to cost me $800 for the part. I had something stuck in the back of my mind that we had this misfire issue before because of something with condensation. This was a backup furnace, I called my nephew, and it turned out that my orifices had become corroded and just needed to be wire brushed off so the gas could flow again. I just paid my nephew a couple of hundred bucks and so after that I was like could I really trust them, but I don't know. I didn't feel like the guy was gouging me, but maybe he was just not smart and went for the easiest thing or whatever. I suppose in the end when he put the new part in and it still wasn't working then we would have eventually had found the problem, but in the meantime it was going to be a lot of hassle and a lot of stress for me because I really didn't have that kind of money. Now I'd be a little more careful when I have them out to do anything else. I guess I'd have them out for regular maintenance, but not any service work. I'll call my nephew again, but their actual maintenance is fine and reasonable.
