Recent Review: My heat pump and A/C (same system) have been having problems for a while now.  Eventually, the heat pump wasn't heating the house (leaking freon) and the emergency heat got stuck on, it was time to replace the system, I called Dave (All Good Home Inc).  He arrived on time and was very professional.  He gave me a very reasonable estimate to replace the entire system ($5000) and said he could install it the next day.  He was patient with me and answered all of my dumb questions.  He also gave me a number of replacement options and helped me weigh out all of the pro's and con's.  The next day he arrived on-time (around 9:00 AM) and had the entire system replaced by 3:30 PM.  The only reason it took that long was that a custom part had to be built at an offsite location after the system was partially installed (he needed specific measurements to connect the new blower-unit to my duct work but the new blower had to be in place first).  While we were waiting on the part he noticed that the pressure relief valve on my hot water heater was sending a constant stream of hot water down the drain.  He noted that the sensor in the valve had gone bad and was allowing this.  He also noticed that my hot water heater had been installed incorrectly and that it was missing an expansion tank.  He offered to sell me the parts at cost ($75) and install them (while he waited for the custom part for the heat pump) at a deeply discounted rate ($100, his normal rate for labor would have been around $300).  By 3:30 PM my hot water heater was working better than ever and my new heat pump was installed and doing a wonderful job heating my house.  I would recommend All Good Home Inc to anyone in a heartbeat and will continue to use their services as long as I live in their territory.

Reviews in Waldorf to Remove Fuel Tank

FWine Energy Heating and Air Conditioning
E.E. Wine installed a fuel oil tank sometime after 2007. I was just told it will cost me $1,000.00 to buy a new one. The average life expectancy for an above ground 250 gallon tank is 20 years. I was told I was getting a break by being charged $1,000.00 instead of $1,800.00. I have been a loyal customer for almost 29 years. Have NEVER been late with a payment and have had maintenance contracts for over twenty years. I guess the contract doesn't cover inspecting the fuel tank. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and they know I have no other alternative. I will pay to have this new tank installed at 50% of it;s average lifespan. But they have lost a loyal customer. I estimate with oil purchase and maintenance agreements I have spent at least 60K with E.E. Wine and then they rip me off.

AJohn Nugent & Sons Inc
We decided last spring (2010) to have our 32+ year old buried heating oil fuel tank removed. As one of our neighbors said, it was an ecological disaster waiting to happen... We had another company remove the buried oil tank. John Nugent and Sons worked with us on scheduling the removal / installation of old and new heating and AC equipment. They came out early to remove the outside AC equipment so that the oil tank could be dug up. And on the day the other company was digging up the oil tank, the old furnace was being removed and new one put in place. Even though they were not able to install the outside heatpump unit (old oil tank work still in process), we did have heat over the weekend even if it was "auxilary heat." The following Monday, they installed the exterior equipment and we were back in business - full heating and AC. Mike Jackson, our salesman and liaison to the company, was prompt with the initial appointment and cost estimate and he was very responsive to our questions. Excellent communcations from the Nugent office on scheduling of work. The removal / install crew was superb. They were careful to put down protective covering for the equipment removal and installation and cleaned up after themselves - wouldn't even know they were there other than the basement area where they were working is a lot cleaner than what we left them with at the start of this process!?! Superb work all around!

AQuality Tanks & Excavation
The house we purchased two years ago had an old, nasty exterior oil tank that sat right outside the back door.  It was one of those things that we kept meaning to get around to and just never did.  I finally hit my limit and just started calling business in our area that delivered oil and serviced tanks.  That ended up being a complete waste of time as they didn't want to deal with anything "that small".  I couldn't get a person to even commit to looking at the tank for removal and disposal.   I looked in Angies List and found Quality Tanks and Excavation.  Spoke to the owner, explained that we had a outdoor tank that had been left, it had oil but I had no idea how much and I needed it gone.  I sent him pictures of the unit and my estimate of what was left in the tank based on his instructions of how to estimate.  We agreed on a price and he gave me a date and time that he would come remove.   On the day of the removal traffic ended up being a mess as happens in this area.  The owner called to apologize and asked if I would be open to him coming later in the day - after 7 pm, to allow traffic time to settle and he would still be able to get the tank that day.  That was fine with us and true to his word he was there at 7 pm. Not a drop was spilled, he was efficient and the worlds ugliest nastiest oil tank was removed from the side of my house in under an hour.  I loved it.  If you ever have need of someone to remove a tank I highly recommend using them.

Overall, the experience went well. The technician that installed the oil furnace had another gentlemen working with him (who was in training), and he completed the wiring for the project. Several weeks later, the oil tank was inspected and the technicians noticed that the wiring wasn't done as neatly as what they had expected, so they re-did it. Also, this company installed an oil tank (roth, double-walled) in my home, which is included in the approximate cost. I'm satisfied with their services and I would recommend this company.

SMO has been maintaining our oil furnace for thirty years. Their annual servicing means our old furnace still performs excellently. We've only had one time when it really went out during a snow storm, they did manage to get someone to work on it. They're careful when they fill the oil tank not to spill oil. The maintenance staff is always polite, efficient and clean up after themselves. Chris was here in June and did a great job with the tune up. We feel it is worth paying for the annual service fee and maintenance as we've always been well cared for.

While Glen was prompt and professional, I did not choose this company primarily because they do not remove oil tanks (changed oil furnace to gas).  I did like the fact that Glen prepared and gave me an estimate while here.

I contacted UST the prior week after being referred by our home inspector and one of the oil companies I called.  They scheduled a tank inspection for 7/17 at 8 a.m.  My husband and I both took a few hours off from work and met our real estate agent there.  No one showed.  At 8:10 I called the company, where the person on the phone told me that they had forgotten about our appointment.  They said they could send someone out now.  I asked if they could be there and complete the test by 10:00 a.m. and they said they could.  I received a call back within 15 or so minutes telling me they could not have someone out that quickly and asking to reschedule.  We rescheduled for the next morning, where I waited alone for the contractor.  He was about 10 minutes late, but in this area the traffic can be unexpectedly bad.  He was very professional and worked quickly.  He explained to me on a basic level how the testing worked and answered my questions.  At the end of the inspection, he told me the outcome and that I would be emailed a report.  I received an emailed report later that day, and an invoice a little over a week later.  I'm sure the report is standard, but I'll be honest, it makes no sense to me.  I just take them at their word that the tank does not leak.  The report contains their certification information and the calibration information on their equipment.

The guys showed up on time and did an excellent job, as they had to work with my Husband to keep from tearing up my yard with the heavy equipment. We do appreciate how cooperative they were trying to adhere to the request that were made.     They were courteous and professional, they were very skilled in knowing how to get the old oil tank (550 gallons) out of the ground and installing and leveling the new tank.   Excellent Job....... thanks.
