Recent Review: Work began Nov. 18, 2007 on upstairs bathroom. They worked 5 days a week except for Thanksgiving holiday. They were very hard workers and seemingly diligent. In about two weeks they had completed the one bathroom. Due to health issues they were unable to start the downstairs bathroom until Feb. 18, 2008. Again, after starting, they worked hard and conscientiously until almost completing the work on March 5th. Since granite was required for completion, they could not complete the bathroom until March 26. Overall, it was mostly a positive experience. The final results were very satisfying. I recommend this company highly.
Recent Review: My experience with city renovations and remodeling left me with renewed confidence in contractors! After an unfortunate experience with a bathroom remodeling project I called in Mike and his team to complete and correct the remodeling project. I was so pleased with the finished project I added a painting and Kitchen light remodel project. Mike has an excellent quality control system and is always on top of the timelines and promised deadlines. It was a pleasure to do business with City renovations and remodeling! I would definitely recommend this company to my family and friends.

D.A.B.& Associates Inc., did a great job. All the work was completed in a timely, professional manner at what I believe is a very reasonable price for the work done. They basically offer a ''turnkey'' bathroom remodeling service. When they finished the job, the remodeled bathroom was complete, with no added work necessary before it's ready to use. I would definitely recommend D.A.B.& Associates Inc., to anyone considering bathroom upgrades or remodeling.

AS & S Ceramic Tile
Ali did an excellent job renovating our small bathroom, particularly the tile work. He worked every day on our project until it was complete, and did not take another job until our bathroom was done. He is detail oriented, and so nice and trustworthy as well.

AWillis Builders Inc
We hired Matthew and his team to completely gut and renovate our small master bathroom. Very generally, the experience was a positive one. The good: - Matthew and his subcontractor were extremely responsive to emails, texts, and calls - If we pointed out something that we thought wasn't quite perfect, they were happy to fix it - trash was removed fairly regularly and they would always tidy up the work/ storage area if asked (mostly when it was spilling into our walkway) - They always called to ask before adding extra work to the contract, even if it was clearly necessary (i.e. sistering some beams that had dry rot) - bills and itemized receipts were produced promptly and regularly - the estimate for labor was spot-on and we didn't feel like we were upsold - the additional costs came from things we had either anticipated or agreed were necessary (some beam sistering, replacing the ceiling, finding an alternate way to vent a new fan) The bad: - our project manager was only on-site a couple times a week and not for very long, which meant there was no direct supervision of the guys doing the work - it felt like every day or every other day we had to point out stuff that needed to be fixed - a crooked tile, missing waterproofing, regular tile used where there should have been bullnose - which was frustrating - they frequently ran out of things or discovered new supplies they needed that had to be ordered (shower valves, more tile, etc.), leading to delays - the work took about twice as long as they had first estimated Overall, I understand that some of these frustrations and difficulties are just part of dealing with a renovation. While I would have preferred not to have to nudge them about items so frequently, I certainly felt like they were treating us fairly in terms of cost and appreciated the responsiveness.

AGBC Kitchen & Bath
GBC Kitchen and Bath did a ½ bath for us last year and we were ready to do our master bathroom this year. We didn’t hesitate to contact them to do the second job. They treated our ½ bath renovation like a million-dollar job and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We love the new master bath and they made us feel the same way again. We have already recommended them to our friends and hopefully we can work with them again in the future. My kitchen is starting to look a bit dated. Hahaha

APhoenix Home Services Inc
Amazing!!! Phoenix Home Services was the last company I called for an estimate to renovate our Master Bathroom. I had been meeting with contractors for months and was taking my time because there was no rush on our end. Their Designer Clint met with me on the weekend, which I appreciated because we were so busy during the week. He heard everything I said about what we needed, and what type of style we were looking for. A few days later Clint provided me with designs of *exactly* what I wanted. Within a couple weeks the project kicked off. They stayed well within the estimated timeline for the project. I would receive detail oriented emails with timelines and updates to the project, and payment schedules. Every few days a project manager would stop by to check on the work. They were very thorough and flexible to our needs. Clint was very responsive and helped keep the project on track. I was especially grateful for Phoenix Home Services ability to think outside the box when we hit a couple challenges with the project. We will be calling them again, and again, and again. Thank you!!!!

AHome Breakthrough LLC
Francisco and his team were great to work with--they were responsive, professional, and patient with the thousand questions I had about the process. He was great at helping us sort out a design that we liked, offering great suggestions, while also making sure to listen to what we wanted and to provide feedback to help us make decisions to make that happen. We're very happy with the work but are ending up having to move shortly after completion. Our realtor took one look at the before and after and immediately added $10,000 to what our listing price would be. If there hadn't been issues with some work that had been done prior to contracting with Francisco (which we were aware existed, but didn't know the extent of), that increase would have nearly covered the initial contracting price.

AMayflower Construction Group
From the beginning, Mayflower was a company intent on making the customer happy. A friendly and helpful office quickly set up my initial home appointment and provided a clear estimate. Design not being my strong suit, I welcomed contractor/designer Nicole’s guiding hand in selection of materials and design. She guided but didn’t dictate; helped with research but let me know when decisions involved a professional judgment or just a personal preference. She delivered samples of tiles and color wheels right to my home and otherwise made the pre-construction phase easier. She thoroughly reviewed the contract line by line to be sure I understood each section. Once the job was complete, she made it clear that Mayflower would still be there to respond to issues that might arise. Construction began and finished on time, and within the hours and terms allowed by my condo association. The office team was an efficient conduit for my questions or concerns and the few hiccups that did come up were dealt with quickly and efficiently. The construction team was friendly and efficient and did a good job protecting the space. The final product is gorgeous – beyond what I’d imagined could be done within my modest budget. I would highly recommend Mayflower to anyone contemplating a bathroom or kitchen renovation.

AGBC Kitchen & Bath
I’m absolutely delighted by the bathrooms renovation job performed by GBC Kitchen and Bathroom of Alexandria, VA. I hired GBC to renovate and upgrade all my two bathrooms and the powder room. From start to finish, the GBC team listened to my requests, guided me with the process from envisioning design, selecting the materials, delivering the materials to specifications, and performing the renovation jobs. Ms. Eda Yeniay proposed a few design concepts and materials. As someone who was aesthetically challenged, she helped me with choosing the design and color coordination that would stand the test of time. More importantly, she selected high quality materials consistent with the vision. Mr. Charlie Ozdemir was an experienced project manager who ensured that the process would be executed smoothly, on time, and on budget. He excelled in those areas as well as he listened very carefully to and answered all of my questions. I also could not be happier by the skilled craftsmen led by Mr. Ever who executed all the designs and concepts leading to desirable outcomes. Throughout the process, GBC always came up with solutions to possible issues. I really did not have to worry about having the contractor mess up the job. I have now fully renovated, updated, aesthetically pleasing, and modern bathrooms suitable for 21st century. I will entrust GBC again with my kitchen project in the future. Thank you, GBC!!
