Recent Review: Carlos did an outstanding job. I had previous contacted the company that installed the deck, but they (Deckscapes of Virginia) said they don't do deck repairs unless it is under warranty, that there was not enough money to be made. I then contacted a couple of other deck companies and pretty much received the same answer. After doing more research on Angie's List, I saw the ad for Carlos Camayo. All his reviews were great and I sent him a message. He wasted no time in giving me a call to schedule an estimate. The estimate was very reasonable. He showed up promptly for the estimate and day of the work being performed. He even fixed some problems that Deckscapes had done, and showed me some other problems where it looks like Deckscapes cut some corners. All in all, his work was outstanding, I could not have found a better person to fix the deck.
Recent Review: We have had a wonderful experience contracting with Deanwood Decks. Tom is extremely responsive to my phone calls and requests. They did a great job with the work and accommodated our schedule. They helped us to find a solution that worked within our budget. I just called them again to help with another project and they will be coming to do the work tomorrow.
Recent Review: Very well; easy to talk to, clear estimate, polite and high quality team, impressed with quality of repair work and speed of project completion, cleaned up project area. Wife was very comfortable having team in the house. Definitely recommend to neighbors and friends.

Recent Review: My house was gleaming, bright and clean when I drove up today! This was the 2nd time for window cleaning with Window Gang, but I added house siding and deck power washing this time around. Again, excellent service at a very reasonable price! I have painted aluminum siding and gutters (thanks to previous owner - ugh) and I was concerned that aggressive pressure washing would take off all of the paint (altho some is peeling), and I would have to pay to have whole house painted. Not so. Joe took good care to wash house and remove the mold and dirt. Now I will only have to touch up the trim and gutters as I had originally expected to do. As for the window cleaning, the glass shines and no streaks. The sills are wiped clean so dirty water does not dribble down the side of the house. Excellent job. Friendly and courteous staff. I highly recommend them.
Recent Review: I own upper priced rental properties and Harry has painted for me for more than 20 years. He does excellent work. His work costs a bit more but he is the best bargain in town. You get what you pay for. A good paint job depends on good preparation of whatever is to be painted. Most painters do some but not great prep work. Harry does great prep work and great finish work. You will be very happy.
Was my second time using Millennium. He spray coated my fence and deck in 2012 and then a fairly large playhouse/swingset in 2013. Both times, the quote was fair, and the work was done well, on time, and cleanly. I'll go back the next time I need exterior painting work done.

AREYES PROFESSIONAL PAINTING
Excellent. Marcos promised a new look for our decks, that were run down, after 5 winters of neglect. The results were amazing: the decks look like new, the rotten pieces were replaced, the whole deck sealed and painted (railings and upper pergola included). They put 3 coats of paint in the railings and upper structure, and 3 coats of stain in the floor of the decks. Reyes' team (3) arrived on time, worked from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for 3 consecutive days (the last day was a Saturday) and finished the job as promised. They cleaned everything. They were polite and respected our privacy. I strongly recommend Reyes Professional Painting.

I am very happy with the deck refinishing job performed by Deck Armor! My deck needed some serious refinishing. The previous owners had painted the deck with cheap paint, which was peeling like crazy, and the wood was splintering and cracking - my kids were constantly getting slivers. It was clear that the deck needed to be refinished other wise the deck boards were going to totally split and rot and need a total replacement. I could tell it was going to be a major job because the first thing that needed to be done was to get rid of the paint on the deck (wrong thing to use, decks should have stain!). it is a large deck on the second floor with a long staircase - I definitely didn't have the time to do it myself so I decided to hire the job out. Jim came out to the house and took measurements, and gave me a very clear understanding of what was involved with the refinishing and what the cost would be. His cost was very competitive with the other estimates I had, so I decided to go with Deck Armor. They came out a week after that and pressure washed the deck and applied a paint stripper. It rained alot the next two weeks, so I had to wait for the next steps. When we got some good weather, Jim and Juan came out to the house and sanded the deck down to get it smooth and to get off much of the remaining paint. They did ALOT of prep work before applying an ounce of stain, which is going to make a big difference in how long the stain lasts. After laying down plastic to protect the house, they applied the stain with a spray gun, rollers and brushes (paint applied with spray gun was rolled/brushed over to make sure it got into the wood). Between coats of stain they sanded the boards to avoid buildup and to keep the surfaces free of clumps of stain. In the end they applied 5-6 coats of stain on the deck boards, and 2-3 coats on the spindles and railings. All in all, it took about 3 days and they did a great job, even though they had to work in some sweltering heat. They even added a gate with a latch for $250, to help corral my kids on the deck. Jim gave me pointers about how to care for the deck in the years to come - with touch ups and a fresh coat of stain every couple years, the deck should last a very long time. They are very professional and personable, and Jim is great about communicating about schedule/contract. Would definitely recommend this company, and would go with them again for another job.

We had our deck and pergola re-finished (estimated deck size 360 sq feet). We chose the mid-option called "Semi-transparent". The deck looks great. They did a nice job on the pressure washing and the coating. Everything around the deck was covered so nothing was accidentally stained. They finished within their estimated window. We're very happy with the deck. It looks so much better.

I call him. He came over and gave me an estimate. and he's staying within the estimate. He is staining my deck, painting my house, filling old nail holes, and he put 2 coats of stain on the house. He takes pride in what he does.

Excellent, they took great time and care with the project and they were fastidiously clean. In other words they removed all debris and work area debris. The project looked lovely when finished.

In general, they performed the work in the contract, so that was good. My only disappointment was that there are different types of deck waterproofing and sealing, and (in retrospect) I wish they had been a little more 'consultative' in the pre-sales phase, explaining the options to me so that I could make an educated decision on the choice of sealant and color. After the job was performed they did call me to discuss the minor concerns I raised. That conversation was very helpful, and I appreciate their concern about my satisfaction. My only suggestion to Mel is to have that conversation BEFORE the job to manage the customer's expectations.

The deck was over 20 years old, deteriorating, and needed some help. They replaced several damaged boards, cleaned/prepped the deck, applied several coats of primer and paint. After they finished, the deck looked fantastic.

My experience with Scott was very good, we corresponded via email and he was very prompt. Javier came out and did the work. He came out to pressure wash the deck on Friday, then to finished up on Saturday morning. He returned on Monday to seal the deck. I was originally quoted $960 for the job but in the end that total came out to $1,090 - $130 over the original estimate. Scott said it took more sealer than he thought because Javier put 2 coats on the deck to make it look really good. He gave me a small discount on the 2nd coat ($30), but I would have preferred that he called me to consult, prior to applying the 2nd coat. But the overall experience was very good and my deck looks good.

The pressure washing was good but the seal coating was lousy. They did not cover the deck with the sealing; they did the railings but barely touched the deck. I pointed it out to them and they said they didn’t miss the areas. I had to have someone else come out to redo the seal coating.
