ANLT Construction
We had worked with NLT Construction before, but this was a substantially larger and more complex job. From the beginning, Dave was timely and thorough. He was upfront about pricing, was able to get the various subcontractors to complete their work to the same quality that he was producing, and was helpful in all the ways we wanted a contractor to be helpful. In order to save some money, we did the majority of the demolition ourselves. This involved removing a complete second floor bathroom, a first floor wall, a kitchen, and a pantry closet. Over the course of about two months, his crew and various subcontractors worked to rebuild what had been demolished. This included weaving in new hardwood flooring; installing new windows; designing, building, and installing custom cabinets; running new plumbing and electrical; adding a bathroom; laying tile; replicating plaster molding; and adding insulation. We did have to stress the need to match existing dimensions and molding profiles in a few cases, and the crew did an impressive job to meet those needs. Overall, we're very pleased with the result and continue to be impressed with how everything turned out, even nearly two years later.

AS & J Painting & Remodeling
Our bathroom renovation looks great. Elias, the supervisor was knowledgeable, profession, friendly and a skilled tradesman. They were always on time and always put down mats keeping the house clean. They demolished a bathroom that was built in 1983 and a mess and the result was a brand new modern bathroom. They did tile work, plumbing, eletrical, installation of toilet and vanities and all hardware and mirrors. We love our new bathroom and would recommended this company.

AS & J Painting & Remodeling
We bought a townhouse in July. Contacted several contractors for a quote and knew estimates we were getting were ridiculous. Contacted S&J in August who provided a reasonable quote to renovate our two small bathrooms. Elias and Primo took on the job in November, completing one bathroom a week! The attention to detail and quality is obvious. The advice these guys gave us as they were doing the work and consulting with us was helpful. They even went to Home Depot with us to guide us in picking out shower/tub fixtures as well as exchanging a bathoom vanity damaged in shipping to us. With all this, care for the traipsing in and out of the house on tarps, opening and shutting the door each time...treated our home with respect all the way through. If there were 10 stars, we'd give that. Get your quotes sooner rather than later though. S&J are so good and in such demand, there's a backlog of work. It's worth the wait. ;-)

AArchangel Remodeling
We highly recommend Archangel Remodeling for their high degree of professionalism and superior quality of work. Steven spent a generous amount of time to help us sort out the many options of tile, hardware and vanities available and guided us in converting our vision into reality. Ryan was a superb craftsman who paid close attention to detail and solved each problem that came up with ingenuity and clever design solutions. We were very happy with their work and will call on them again for other projects.

AVKB Kitchen & Bath
To begin, I want to say that my wife and I were extremely satisfied with the results of the work VKB did for us. Here are a few reasons why: 1. We initially met with our designer, Mr. Junior Wizart and his associate Sharon, to discuss the work we wanted done. Junior visited our home and walked thru and listened to what we wanted. He provided several suggestions and left to formulate their proposal. We met again the following week and Junior and Sharon walked us thru their design proposal which we were very happy with. We made a down payment and 2. Over the following several weeks, we interacted regularly with Junior and Sharon regarding the details of and the selections for each bathroom. We made a down payment on the May 28, 2019 and signed the contract on 5 June which started the ball rolling. 3. Over the next few weeks we made detailed selections for showers, faucets, floors walls, paint, etc. In some cases, our detailed selections exceeded the budget that was allowed in our signed contract, so a mod was required and adjustments made. All the changes were very easy to implement, and were completed quickly. 4. We had a walk thru in early Jul with the Project Manger, Mr. Jason Freeman, and Mr. Wizart to confirm all selections and installation plans. It was quite thorough and painless. 5. Work began on 7 Jul promptly and the Team Lead, Walter, and his team began the demo. We have an electronic door lock and gave the team their own code for the duration of the project. For 95% of the project, they worked without our oversight. They began after we left for work, and would remain on site until one of us returned from work to show us the results of the day. 6. Every day until the job was completed on August 14, the VKB crew was here working. They were very professional and very thorough. They alerted us when they needed decisions made (height of shower head, placement of body washers, etc. They also asked if they could work on a Saturday to maintain their schedule. 7. Almost every day Jason, our project manager, checked it to see if all was going well and if we had any issues. We had to make several minor adjustments to the design plan, and when we did, it was completed painlessly. The team kept the walkway into the house covered and cleaned up daily. Trash was picked up regularly and there was no need to a dumpster. 8. We were so happy with the performance of the bathroom work, that we hired VKB to renovate our kitchen backsplash. Junior helped pick out the colors and style of tile, and Jason's team did the installation in two days. 9. The entire 3.5 bath renovation work was completed and the final payment made on August 14th. We we so pleased with the work VKB performed for us that we hired them to renovate our basement that was damaged severely due to a failed sump pump and the resulting water backup.

Glenwood renovated three full baths and our powder room. There were several things that impressed us with their work.  They were extremely professional and courteous. They showed up when they said they would and completed the work in the time that they estimated.  Compared to several other neighbors’ experiences, our projects were accomplished in a very short period. From the start of demolition to completion for all of the bathrooms, they took less than 5 months, and some of that was over the holiday period. There were very few days in which someone from the company was not on-site.  Our house is approaching 100 years old, so much of the existing framing, plumbing, and wiring was very old, so the house’s construction was not exactly like current practices. Glenwood’s team was not surprised by anything “unusual.” They’d seen it all and knew how to handle what looked like perplexing situations, whether it involved electrical, plumbing, tile, or carpentry.  The team was excellent at problem-solving, especially in suggesting ideas for storage. We did not move any walls, so the old home had limited options for improving the layout and storage options. The Glenwood team offered several great ideas that we incorporated. We have no hesitation about recommending the Glenwood team!

ARenaissance Contractors LLC
Contractor was on time, reliable and communication was very good. Old house, things not square or "common sense" according to contemporary building standards, but contractor got it done despite the difficulties with the site. We bought some cabinetry that did not precisely fit with the  HVAC, and they worked to make it fit. Some extras not charged to us, very gracious.   Jobsite very clean every day.  Overall experience very good. Not the cheapest, but quality, reliability and communication count.

Hunter had actually done work for my brother in law and was highly recommended. I have to second that rec. He and his crew were superb. Very professional and easy to work with. Hunter set out a detailed timeline and stuck to it. In fact job finished two days early. Pleasure to do business with a great group of experienced workers. I would highly recommend Renaissance. We anticipate using Hunter for all our future remodeling needs.

Recent Review: We hired Matthew and his team to completely gut and renovate our small master bathroom. Very generally, the experience was a positive one. The good: - Matthew and his subcontractor were extremely responsive to emails, texts, and calls - If we pointed out something that we thought wasn't quite perfect, they were happy to fix it - trash was removed fairly regularly and they would always tidy up the work/ storage area if asked (mostly when it was spilling into our walkway) - They always called to ask before adding extra work to the contract, even if it was clearly necessary (i.e. sistering some beams that had dry rot) - bills and itemized receipts were produced promptly and regularly - the estimate for labor was spot-on and we didn't feel like we were upsold - the additional costs came from things we had either anticipated or agreed were necessary (some beam sistering, replacing the ceiling, finding an alternate way to vent a new fan) The bad: - our project manager was only on-site a couple times a week and not for very long, which meant there was no direct supervision of the guys doing the work - it felt like every day or every other day we had to point out stuff that needed to be fixed - a crooked tile, missing waterproofing, regular tile used where there should have been bullnose - which was frustrating - they frequently ran out of things or discovered new supplies they needed that had to be ordered (shower valves, more tile, etc.), leading to delays - the work took about twice as long as they had first estimated Overall, I understand that some of these frustrations and difficulties are just part of dealing with a renovation. While I would have preferred not to have to nudge them about items so frequently, I certainly felt like they were treating us fairly in terms of cost and appreciated the responsiveness.

Recent Review: February 10, 2012   After seeing an ad on television, we contacted AES Home Improvements inquiring about remodeling our bathroom.  Contractors had previously burned us, so we proceeded with caution. Our contact at AES was Jeff Harrington.  He immediately began putting our fears to rest.  He walked us through a process that was unfamiliar and made it very comfortable.  He assured us we would be pleased with the work and the results.   The work was started as agreed, continued with only one glitch (not the workman?s fault), which was immediately taken care of, and finished when promised.    The craftsman for our job was Don Tanguay.  Don?s work ethic was impeccable.  He kept us apprised daily of his schedule.  If there were any changes, he would call.  On arrival each day, he worked non-stop with only a brief lunch break.  Care was always taken to protect our carpet and home.  He needed to store the supplies in our dining room, but he kept them neat and organized.  Every day he would clean up before he left.    On a couple occasions, it was necessary for Don to be left alone in the house.  The quality of his character made us completely comfortable to do this.  We are so happy the job was assigned to Don.  He is a great worker and a very nice man.  Don would even take a few minutes each day to calm our dog before he started.  He made the experience easier for her as well.  She still didn?t like the noise, but she loved him.   We are very pleased with our beautiful bathroom and would recommend AES to others needing home improvements. In fact, we have already.   If we have a need for any other improvements, we would gladly contact AES.   Thank you Jeff and Don.  We really appreciate both of you.  You must be done, because we are very happy!    Anita and Cheryl

Recent Review: Phoned prior to timely arrival. Abundant patience for many plumbing issues related to 1/2 inch old pipe needing to connect to 3/4 inch pipe; as well as total replacement of toilet flange because tiler left flange too low in tiled floor—very tedious and time consuming task yet took time to redo the most important part of a toilet. Plumber personally made a larger new wax seal to fit over larger raised flange for greater protection against any potential future leaking. Also offered to fix another small plumbing issue in separate bathroom that took little to no time to fix but was not part of the original task. Appreciated patience and ability to solve complicated problems.

Recent Review: J&S Painting did a fantastic job painting my bathrooms.  They were only supposed to paint the walls, but they painted the doors and trim as well.  They arrived on time and finished the job in about 3 - 3 1/2 hours.  I was very pleased with the work they did.  I don't remember their names, but both men were very professional and a pleasure to do business with.
