Reviews in Harwood to Install Chair Lift

AHome Progression Systems
Top notch service at a reasonable price.  We are extremely pleased with the chairlift that HandyPro installed in our home.  Knowledgeable, caring, and hard working--these folks did a great job!  From the estimate to the final installation, HandyPro went above and beyond in making sure that we understood the process.  There were no surprises during the installation and they talked us through everything they were doing.   We highly recommend HandyPro and are looking forward to using them again in the future.

AARGO Remodeling & Handymen LLC
The job went very smoothly. Our deck (which was above an enclosed room) was quite weathered, the railing was dangerously wobbly, and it had an inaccessible gutter. The porch needed rescreening, painting of the concrete floor, and some concrete structural repairs. The Argo crew - a half-dozen workers - was professional, efficient, and friendly. Communication was excellent, and the owner came by several times to check on the progress of the work. The price was fair, and the result was exactly as we envisioned.

He was very mechanical minded and had no problems with the chair carrier. He wasn't quite as adapt or expereinced with the curtain rod and had to patch up a few mistakes.

CHome Services Professional
When I initially made the purchase for the service on the Angie's List web site, the site asked me for 3 good dates.  I did.  those dates came and went before I spoke to anyone at Home Services Professional.  Having received no calls from them, I called and made an appointment.  A week later they called me to make an appointment.  I told them I already had an appointment and they found it in their book. The appointment was for between 11:00 and 2:00.  They got here at 2:00 with no apology or explanation.  At this point they had never discussed the details of the job with me.  When I showed them the job, they determined that the ladder they brought was not tall enough so I borrowed one from a neighbor.  Fortunately, I had already purchased screens and screws to do the work.  I knew to do this because I had this same work done a few years ago and the other company explained that they do not have this type of supplies. This job is not particularly difficult.  The two workers who came out were somewhat challenged anyway.  I had contracted for 3 hours.  they did the two panels that I wanted done in that time (1.5 hours for two workers).  There was a third panel that I wanted them to do but they did not have the time or inclination to do the third panel.  Due to the position of the third panel, I'm afraid they didn't have the skills to do it either.  The job is done.  Their are other screens that probably should be replaced due to squirrels claws as they climb.  I will find another Handyman to do the work next time.

He arrived on time, dressed in uniform with a truck full of what he needed to make that floor perfect. He replaced one full sheet of plywood, purchasing and hauling a new sheet of plywood up to my third floor (no elevator) co-op, and hauled away and disposed of the old sheet of plywood. He was pleasant, polite, knowledgeable and efficient. The dispatcher was also wonderful, calling to tell me that he might be early. She was efficient and very personable as well. I will definitely use them again!

Given the size of the job the cost was too high in large part because work crews were mobilized on two separate days rather than working through the 3 hours the job should take. This added unnecessary hours of twice setting up and cleaning up from two 1.5 hours of work which inflated the cost. This is the problem with jobbing at an hourly rate rather than than costing out work entirely.

BFerguson Bath & Kitchen Gallery
I was really pleased with this project. I spent months making decisions and getting over cold feet, but from the time all the items were ordered, it took only about 4 weeks total for the items to arrive and for the job to be completed, which is much better than horror stories I've heard about kitchen remodeling projects in general. The contractor (Cruz Olivarez) was a relative of the designer (Krystal Olivarez), which at first seemed awkward but resulted in a partnership from which I as the client really benefited. Cruz is a talented carpenter, and the custom island is beautiful and the cabinet installation is perfect. What causes me to grade this as a "B" instead of an "A" are the following: 1) After the tile was laid, I had to request retiling of a portion due to uneven grouting, 2) I paid a rush fee for tile to accommodate the contractor's schedule, and then he was delayed, which meant I paid the rush fee for nothing, 3) I was called at 5:30 am by a delivery driver who wasn't supposed to have called me at all; 4) the motor board on the counter-depth refrigerator failed after 2 weeks and I spent a week trying to get it fixed; 5) I was left without even a temporary kitchen for a day longer than promised. But, even with these points, I am very happy with my kitchen and the work that was done, and would use Ferguson's and work with Krystal and Cruz again. I'll also mention that I considered using home improvement stores because I thought they would be cheaper and easier to work with, but they required I use their measurement contractors, and those contractors work from 9-4 Monday-Friday. That's when I work, and I figured I'd need to take time off for the kitchen project itself and didn't want to take time off for measurement. Krystal offered to come to my home in the evening to accommodate me, and she respected my schedule as much as possible through the duration of the project.

AMega Kitchen and Bath
Mega Kitchen & bath remodeled our kitchen. Mega did a wonderful job and we could not be more pleased with their service. Their designer was perfect. He gave us lots of idea to improve the efficiency of the design. We would say increased the storage space in the cabinets by at least %15 because our new cabinets have adjustable shelves that I can arrange to our needs. Designer also helped us select the cabinet style. Once we discussed all of the suggestions, their designer provided a 3D floor and elevations to show exactly what the layout would look like and when everything installed, the result looked even more impressive than we I have anticipated. The kitchen looks great today. Thank you.

Excellent detail and explanation of what he would do and professional and timely handling of bid (dropped it off on door step next business day!). It specified type of tile and lighting, as well as including a working plan for the lighting. Bill carefully planned and prepped for the work, treating the job as if it were THE most important job he was doing at that time. He probably took a few more days than others would, but the care, attention to detail and excellent decisions on selecting high quality material, along with the skillful and careful workmanship, make this the BEST experience we have ever had with work of this sort (renovated kitchen, bathroom, carpeting, flooring, etc) done in our house. He even took an extra trip to the supplier because he didn't like the looks of the tiles coming out of one box. He made sure we got the best for our money. He patiently explained why he did things the way he did; and he was always right! He was extremely careful of our property. I would give him the highest recommendation possible for skill, care and concern with customer satisfaction. He's a real professional in all the best senses of the word!
