Recent Review: Mark arrived on time and had all of the parts needed to make the repairs. He also made some adjustments to another ceiling fan that wasn't working correctly due to bent blades. It ended up costing me more than I'd anticipated (I was expecting about $200), but the fan needed more parts than originally thought. Overall, I was very pleased with the service.

Recent Review: Joseph installed 2 ceiling fans and replaced one ceiling electrical box. He was 45 min late and didn’t respond well to texts but he did the work well and was professional. Would hire again if needed
Recent Review: EMS provided the lowest bid. Lights were installed with dimmer switches and fan was stabilized. Crew cleaned up afterwards. They were polite and efficient. Everything works perfectly. Some notes on dealing with contractors: Avoid the big name companies with the flashy ads. Their overhead is high and their estimators and technicians are on quotas to deliver large revenue each month. Their technicians are overworked, underpaid, demoralized and relatively inexperienced -- skilled technicians would demand higher pay. They love to come into your house, look around and say you need to "upgrade" this and that, costing extra thousands of dollars. EMS didn't do that. They are a small operation and only estimate what I ask for. One big name estimator said they would have to break up the drywall to install the light switch and I would have to refinish it myself. Really?? That is a sign of either incompetence or laziness. EMS professionally installed the switch without damaging the drywall. Affluent Fairfax county is full of people with too much money and too little time so they just throw their money at any contractor to get the problem solved quickly. Contractors know that and take advantage of it with inflated estimates. It took me a little time to get many estimates and cut through the con artists. But I got a good job at low cost. That's the way Capitalism is supposed to work. You work hard for your money, don't waste it. I highly recommend EMS and will use them for any future projects.
Recent Review: The electricians Jason and Don did a great job of installing five ceiling fans in my new home. They were very thorough and make sure everything was done correctly. Will certainly consider GSW Electric for any future needs.
He installed two. The first install; no problem. The second install, there were mis-communication with what was actually installed and what was requested specifically to be installed; ironed out several days later after contractor made amends.

They installed new bathroom fans and installed a ceiling fan in a bedroom. They arrived on time, did the work competently and cleaned up after the job was finished. The initial ceiling fan, which we purchased, was defective out of the box, so after we had ordered a replacement, they returned to finish that part of the job at no extra charge, which was very much appreciated.

The install on the exterior ceiling fan went well. The bathroom exhaust fan was defective & they did not charge me until I could get a replacement fan for them to install.

Excellant. New roof exhaust fan provided and installed in attic, old fan removed and two bedroom ceiling fans wired to wall switches - expertly, cleanly and quickly at a reasonable cost. The two young men were professional, courteous and welcome back for any future electrical work needed.

They were great. They were on time and fast doing everything we asked them to do. We were not home when they came to do the job, and they were good about calling if they had questions about anything. Generally, they were great cleaning up well after the job was finished I did not have any problems.

Victor was extremely personable and upbeat. He explained everything he was doing, and completed the job efficiently. He even spent time explaining some other electrical issues around the house and making suggestions. Would certainly like to use him again in the future.
