Recent Review: Very punctual. Great communication. Gave me clear advice about not hanging some shelving that seemed destined to just come down--I didn't get the sense he was trying to get out of something--he was genuinely concerned that my kids might pull the shelves down. His level of quality was amazing. He did jobs I just couldn't do on my own. Came very well prepared.
Recent Review: Abe was very professional and was able to be out working at the house within a few days of us accepting the proposal. The work was completed quickly and he was very clean (cleaned up all debris). The quality of the work was excellent and he was very detailed. Everything was done quickly and efficiently. He even re-installed the screen door on the french doors after cutting down the frames. We have small children and it was refreshing to not have all of the smoking, drinking, and swearing we have become accustomed to from other contractors. Additionally, they obviously came prepared to work, and did not engage in any extraneous conversations. From a pricing perspective I think we received a fair price, especially considering I had other contractors come out and provide quotes for similar services and noting some of them refused to reinstall the exterior doors, instead wanting me to buy new doors to be installed for several thousand dollars. I was very pleased with the work and would use them again.

I am happy with the work but it took at least 2.5 hours longer than expected so the price was more than I had expected. The technician was very friendly and professional and the end result was quality. The one downside is I feel it took too long to do the 3 projects I had gotten the quotes for. But overall I am happy and I would probably use this service again.

AOmni Construction Company
Their work was excellent. Probably the most impressive thing is their attention to detail. Our ceilings and walls were not plumb but you could not tell after Mike and crew were done. You can not use caulk on top of trim molding so he milled by hand to account for every ripple in the ceiling so that the trim was straight and blended perfectly into the ceiling. Amazing wood and tile work! This is especially important when you are dealing expensive trim. To see the pictures check out their website: www.omniconstruct.com (Blog shows recent projects). Our Kitchen project is on their too (currently the title photo for Kitchen and Baths)

Good experience. Rich called the day before to confirm, and arrived on time the next morning. After going over the job, he recommended using auto body filler to repair the wood, as it was part of a factory-built (1) piece unit. This worked well and looks just fine after painting. He had to leave to pick up a hammer drill, which he didn't have on his truck, but was gone just 30 minutes (and of course didn't charge for this time). Relocated the railing, sealed off the old anchor holes in the concrete. I supplied anchors and lag screws, although they will supply materials, but you would pay their time for shopping. And I just happened to have some Bondo available from another project! Rich supplied minor materials (caulk, sealant, small screws) at no additional charge. Cleaned up well after completion.

ALowery Custom Carpentry
It was really a pleasure to work with John. He is largely a one-man operation with occasional helpers - when you hire John, you get John, not some random subcontractor. I really liked that. I contracted with him to install solid bamboo hardwood floors over a very poor subfloor. He used every trick in the book to get the subfloor where it needed to be for a quality installation and it came out significantly better than I could have hoped. He did such a good job I added a lot of work to the contract and had him do basically all that was left of the renovation. He is very precise and detail oriented, clearly taking pride in his work. His prices were very reasonable (about $50/hr) and he made coordinating the work very easy. My 60+ year old house threw any number of curve balls and he used ingenuity and creativity to work through each challenge, often going above-and-beyond with no additional charges. Just one example: the pre-hung exterior door I bought and asked him to install stuck terribly as it fit too tight...John disassembled the relevant part of the threshold and custom made me a beautiful replacement in his wood shop that fit perfectly. I'm a tough client and John is someone I plan to use for all my carpentry work in the future.

ATaylor Made Custom Contracting Inc
I contacted Taylor Made Contracting to replace the flooring in my full bath and replace trim in my master bath. Kevin was very prompt and friendly. We are turning our home into a rental property so were concerned about quality, but as well as cost. Kevin listened to every one of my requests and was able to make it happen within both budget and time constraints. I'm am very happy with the work that was done. I would recommend Taylor Made Contracting for any home remodeling project.
