FREGINA POOLS & SPAS
TERRIBLE!!! The worst experience I ever had with a contractor! I spent a small fortune with Regina Pools to have this work performed. They took my money and sub contracted it out to a sub par seperate contractor that did a very poor job. I paid for the very best vinyl liner and also paid extra for an extended full replacement warranty that they would not honor. A warning to all...do not waste your money dealing with this company.

This is the second time that Dig M Pools did and installation for us. Again we were very happy with the job they did. We purchased our pool from them and it is a well made product. The owners wife was very helpful when we were deciding what pool to purchase. I would recommend Dig M Pools as first choice. Excellent job. Thanks Dig M.

AAnthony & Sylvan Pools
They were extremely professional. While they used subcontractors, 99% were a delight to work with. They knew exactly what they were doing and made sure I was in the loop with everything. The person that came out to help design the pool and do the sales was really patient and he must've laid out the pool four times in our backyard in different shapes. He worked so much for us. He never got frustrated, he just kept working with us. He explained everything so we felt very comfortable with what we were doing. He considered all factors with the placement and what kind of pool we got. Our project manager was fantastic, he gave us his cell phone number. I called him numerous times with questions and concerns and he addressed everything we had. He personally came out and did testing. He was very hands-on. He gave me a calendar including every step with the pool process. Every step of the way from the guys showing up to digging the pool they were very open and made sure I was happy with what happened and what to look for next. The gentlemen who put the chemicals in and explained the maintenance process provided us with a video on how to do certain things in case I wanted to do maintenance myself. He's been very great with helping us navigate what chemicals we actually need to be addressing on our pool and not just spending money every time we go to the store on unnecessary chemicals.

Did an adequate job on pool installation but future contacts with the company were futile. Horrible followup to customers; poor responsiveness to calls. Made a concerted effort to brush off complaints.

Found leak immediately on arrival. Fixed leak and verified that the pool was no longer leaking with sophisticated and accurate equipment. Extremely pleasant, responsive, reasonably priced service. They have the equipment and experience to find any kind of leak.

Let me start off by saying, we have had some very bad experiences with swimming pool companies, however, the experiences we've had with this company have been nothing but positive!   Glenn has always been prompt at responding to my calls and inquiries, always replying within 24 hours.  He has been honest and forthcoming with information.  He has called in experts to back him up when needed and his prices are very reasonable.

When I started out to get a a swimming pool I had no idea how involved it really was.    The girls in the office have so much patient and knowledge it put my mind at ease to find someone who had all the answers to my many questions. Everything ran like a fine tuned machine.  I would recommend Dig M Installers to everyone who is thinking about buying a swimming pool.  It nice to see there are still companies who care about their customer.  Thanks DigM Sincerely [Member name removed].

FCatalina Pool Builders
We first noticed cracks to the loveseat in 2013, and Catalina told us they were surface cracks which they addressed in June/July of 2014. Catalina was contacted again in for cracks to the walls, steps and loveseat (again) in 2016. They instructed us to drain our pool in March, 2017, which we did. Catalina hired an engineer to evaluate their work (our pool) in May, 2017. We are still waiting for Catalina to remedy the pool problems based on their engineer's expertise and report. It is now July 31, 2017; the pool sits empty and awaiting repair. I am fearful someone is going to fall into the empty, uncovered, cracking pool. Customer service is not a priority with Catalina Pool. Take a look at my pictures; this has been my view ALL summer long.

They are a great company and I have had them for about three years. What a bunch of great professionals; it is family owned. They are awesome. This company does a weekly service as well as pool start-up and closing. They remove our equipment and put it in storage in our shed. They do a weekly charge, but they set it up monthly. Their price is a whole lot cheaper than our previous pool company. We do not have issues or problems with our pool such as losing it's water or not one turning on the right valves. It is nice to be able to leave our home and not come home to hear a motor screaming because someone forgot to turn one of the pumps on.

I had a hard time finding someone who services this type of work. They came out right away after I contacted them. The father of the owner completed the work. He has a great amount of experience and was able to diagnose and repair the issue. It turned out very well.

Recent Review: The pool renovation took 8 weeks from estimate to completion (June 3 - July 22).  This included redecking, which was done by another company that was recommended by Nick Leinbach, the President of Watermark Pools. Estimate: Mr. Leinbach came out and inspected the pool damage on June 3.  He provided an estimate around June 10.  He then ordered tile samples that we had selected from catalogs to be sent to my house.  After comparing with another estimate (which was very similar),  we submitted a deposit about a week later, and Nick ordered the tiles and coping.  Throughout this process, Nick answered all my questions very promptly via email.  He inspired confidence, and was able to start sooner than the other company. Work:  The next step was removing the cover and draining the pool.  This work began around June 23.   After the pool was drained, the old plaster was removed using some process that is more environmentally friendly than sand blasting.  This is a very messy and noisy process while it is happening, but the workers contained the mess well and cleaned up nicely when they were finished. The coping and tiling work was done next.  The old coping and tile were removed. There was a possibility that more damage to the underlying structure would be discovered (Nick had mentioned that in advance), but we were fortunate that his original estimation of the extent of the damage was accurate, and the work was done within the original estimate.  The tilers that Watermark employs are highly professional. Their work is precise and meticulous.  We are extremely pleased with the tiling and coping.  This part of the process is neither very noisy nor messy. Final choices:  Nick came to our house to finalize the choice of plaster color.  From samples, we selected a blue color that would work well with the tiles, and we are very pleased with it.  It was worth the extra $2,000 in our opinion.  Nick also recommeded a company that does decking repair/replacement.  We were pleased with the work of that company as well.  (The cost of the decking was separate from the cost of the pool renovation.) Replastering:  There was a bit of a delay due to the plastering machine needing to be repaired.  Once the plastering was complete (another noisy process!), water was trucked in. Nick arranged for that.  (The cost of the water is separate from the pool renovation.)  At no charge, Nick completed all the normal pool opening activities.  He also explained how to brush down the surface and maintain the water balance in the best way to preserve the new plaster, and recommended someone who could continue with pool closings and openings in future. Final work:  Watermark Pools returned immediately after the 3-day decking work was completed to install the caulking between the coping and the decking.  Our goal had been to complete the pool in time for our son's return from camp on July 22, and that is exactly when the pool was ready for use. Overall:  Nick was highly professional, responsive, and very informative all throughout the process.  This is his family's business, and all the work he oversaw, from start to finish, was of the best quality.  This was an expensive undertaking, but we are very satisfied with the outcome.

Recent Review: These guys are great! It was easy to make an appointment. They showd up on time and they talked me through every step. They even provided me with rebate information for my new pool pump. A few weeks after service something broke on my pool cleaner the day before a big party. I called and no one was able to come out that day (due to an injury) and I was told over the phone how to fix the problem myself. I have them scheduled to shut down my pool and I am sure it will go well.

Recent Review: Elite Pools initially came to my attention through our landscaper. We were new to the area, and the landscaper we initially hired was interested in providing us with the pool and the hardscaping (patio, retaining wall) that we wanted in our backyard. They introduced me to the owner of Elite Pools, Michael Shaffery. Our pool installation began in late October. Mike immediately impressed me on a couple of fronts. First, he is more than just the head of his company. He is involved with the customer. He met with me several times and definitely listened to my ideas. Second, his sales approach is a soft one. I never felt pressured or rushed to make a decision. Finally, his pricing is very competitive and includes many important pool components. These three things made me feel good about my decision to go with Elite - - and at this point, 90% of the way to completion, I still feel that I made the right decision. Pool installation occurs in a number of phases which (as best my memory serves) included excavation, putting in the rebar that holds the structure of the pool, spraying the concrete in to create the form, plumbing and electric, installation of the tile and coping. Our pool is not yet completed, but we are close to done, and I will report again when the plaster is done and the pool is opened. At any rate, I would describe the first four steps as absolutely flawless. The excavation went very quickly, and the rebar installation was done by a man was incredible - - he worked so hard and quickly and just had a terrific work ethic. The people who did the plumbing were equally impressive!!. Everyone who came was friendly and professional and tried to be courteous (not blocking my car in the garage, trying to keep things neat, etc.). The last step that was done - - tile and coping - - seemed to go a little less smoothly, but it was hard given the weather at this point. On one hand, I felt that the employees that did this step were not quite as professional as the others . . .there was some "junk" left on the property, and when they went home, it wasn't always as neat as I might have liked. BUT, in the end - - the tile and coping LOOKS FABULOUS!!! The pool hasn't even been opened, and we've gotten so many compliments on the design and how great the stone looks. In addition, Elite helped in many ways that really weren't part of their job. I needed a bigger propane tank, which Mike arranged (and I've used the company he recommended for other things). I needed some fencing removed, which Mike arranged. I needed new fencing installed; Mike connected me with a great company for that. Demolition work needed to be done, and Mike arranged that. These little extras came for either very nominal charges or nothing at all. In addition, in the middle of this project, I ended up having a huge disagreement with the landscaper who was going to install the patio, and I had to fire the landscaper. This situation could have created a lot of difficulty for the pool company because in my case, they were working hand in hand. I hired a new company to install the patio, and Mike immediately established a positive working relationship with the company so that the end result was smooth for me as the customer. He also solved some tricky problems with retaining soil by offering some new suggestions that differed from those we had been exploring initially with the landscaper. These suggestions saved me money, and I think they look a lot nicer too! I think what I learned from this experience is that a pool is a big construction project, and it is key that there is a person who is willing to stand by their work, address issues that come up, and sticks to not just the letter, but the SPIRIT of the contract that you sign with them. Michael Shaffery is that kind of ethical person who cares about the reputation of his company and who goes above and beyond to make sure the end result is going to make the customer happy. It's really nice to be able to work with the owner of the company as opposed to a sales rep (which is what you get with most other high end pool companies). Our pool looks great, and I'm confident we'll be enjoying it very soon. We got a high end product at a fair and reasonable price.

Recent Review: Hydro pool re-plastered our swimming pool while we were away on vacation.  Having worked out a schedule for completing the work, we wanted to start the day we left and be complete for the July 4th holiday, Hydro pool had to work to the schedule for this to happen.  Unfortunately after one step mother nature stepped in, it rained quite heavily one night which ruined some of the work that had been completed the previous day.  This caused an adjustment in the normal installation process.  Kameel was able to handheld this quite nicely keeping us informed at each step along the way.  The job was completed on 7/3 and we swam in the pool on 7/4.  I would highly recommend Hydro Pool for both major repair work and for weekly pool servicing.
