Recent Review: Long, but good. We had lots of back and forth about the design, on-site discussions, and several drawings before we ever signed a contract. All professional, well thought out, and frequently with just the right amount of good humor. While it seemed expensive, the number of people involved and the amount of materials were impressive. They did innovative footings to keep from concreting my whole back yard and covered it all with zero maintenance materials. They built the new deck enough higher that my wife can roll into the back door in her wheelchair. AIP's subcontractors were expert and friendly. Materials arrived quickly and they made sure the ramp was usable ahead of my wife's ankle surgery. None of the crew used any bad language and everybody seemed to get along. When the building inspector asked for some additional railings near the top of the ramp, they offered me choices, and charged no additional money for the time and materials to add four sections of railing with balusters.

Recent Review: The job went amazingly well.  He arrived and promptly started working.  He needed to make two trips because of inclement weather.  He first came out and cleaned the deck, the next trip he finished applying two coats of the product.  What a difference it made!  It looks and feels like a new deck!  I will call Mr. Fixit for any job I have around the house.  Trustworthy, prompt, responsive and professional....what more can you ask for!

Recent Review: My wife is handicapped and we had several estimates on a ramp to be built up to a deck. They came in with a much more reasonable price than others. They are very reliable and professional and I would highly recommend them.

Recent Review: The quick summary:  if you want a deck built and don't give The Decksperts serious consideration, you are making a mistake! The Decksperts got back to our initial inquiry promptly, came out and gave a very professional presentation of what they could do for us, discussing size, colors, materials, and providing samples of materials and pictures of their previous work.  Half the decking contractors we contacted couldn't even be bothered to follow through with estimates after meeting with us.  Dwain and Patrick's approach was as refreshing as it was professional.  While their prices might seem above average at first glance, the quality of materials and workmanship they provide are far above the norm.  You can be assured that you will get your money's worth -- or more. Their suggestions regarding materials and layout were very helpful - we benefitted from their experience, because they brought up ideas that we would not have thought of, which improved the finished product.  We are very particular and detail-oriented, and The Decksperts were a perfect match for us in that respect.  As many other reviewers have noted, they are absolutely meticulous in their work and don't move on until everything is just right.  This approach pays off in the end, as we couldn't be happier with the deck they built for us.  It can be very disappointing to spend significant money on a large project and have regrets about the finished product.  That is not the case with The Decksperts - we're satisfied with every detail. Our experience with The Decksperts was probably the most satisfying contractor experience we've had in our years of home ownership.  We have a deck that meets and exceeds our expectations, and a deck that we will enjoy for years to come.

Some of the boards on the ramp to our backyard shed had warped and needed replacing, also we weren't happy with the lattice work that was currently around the bottom of the shed. We also had several low hanging branches that hung over the fence in our backyard that were a nuisance to mow under. They were able to fit us in, in less than a week. He not only replaced the boards on the ramp; he also reinforced the bottom of the ramp! He also did a very nice job of closing in the bottom area of the shed. In addition to cutting down the several low hanging branches in our back yard, he also cut them up into manageable pieces so that we could bag them and put them out for trash pickup. He was neat and professional and showed me everything that he had done to make sure that I was satisfied with his work. We will definitely be using them again!

CMr Fix It Handyman
-He arrived within a couple of days-I must take part of the responsibility for the problem that ensued (I left the working out of the details to my wife) she called me and told me the job would be $150 which I felt was a fair price-The job was started and when I got home, I found out the materials were $150 and that Mr Fix It already had 4 billable hours into the job and I had a pile of lumber and no railing at that point (his Big Deal coupon for $129 for 4 hours labor had also disappeared from the Angie's list availability even though it was supposed to still be available)-I believe it ended up to be a 6 hour job when all was done (I never got a receipt)-so the $150 job became a $525 job-the railing is nice but not  $525 nice- As with any contractor, get a written proposal before starting the work
