They seemed nice. They arrived on time. They acted reasonably professional. But they did a terrible, terrible job. They cut the boards all unevenly so they look awful at the edges. They didn't stagger them properly as other professionals have told me you are supposed to do. But worst of all, the floors are all uneven, super spongy in many areas, and started coming up immediately. They came back and stuck some nails in them, but of course they came right back up, now with nails poking up all over (in an apartment with a two-year-old -- terrific). They said they would fix it but of course for more money and I really don't have any confidence that they could do it right regardless of how much money I paid them. They blamed the problems on the material I got, but I specifically asked them what kind I should get and Philip told me "you can get any kind you want." Then later he kept saying he told me not to get the kind I got. He told me NOTHING about what kind I should get. And I specifically asked him, because, you know, I have no clue about this stuff, that's why I hired a "professional" to do it. Also, they claimed they had told me that in order to compensate for the unevenness of the subfloor they would have to do extra work, but they DID NOT TELL ME THIS. They made this up afterwards. If they had told me this before, I would have had them do it! Terrible job, I will probably have to have the entire job redone (two rooms at the very least), and there is no way I would have them work for me again, so I'm just starting entirely from scratch. And now I have a tenant in there which makes it more difficult for everyone, especially her :( Honestly, I should sue these guys. Please note, the cost of service given is for their labor only -- $1725. The flooring cost $1590.41, and will all have to be replaced, no way to reuse it. Ugh!
