Recent Review: I had time constraints and Dave broke his leg, but this job wasn't a RUSH to me. He came out or his staff did when they said they would. They bid the job, and started, but we needed to change direction a little bit with fabrication of the stairs and stair handrails. This didn't phase Dave or his crew, and they went right to work to complete the new design. It cost more because to put in the ADA handrail and the new design of the rest of the railing, (to match existing porch railing), there were more materials and it took more time for the crew to complete.  My wife and I were quite happy with the results of Dave and his crew's work.  Th porch is now repaired and complete as far as construction goes. We will have Dave come out with his crew to paint and stain the complete porch in Septemberish.  Need to let the pressure treated lumber cure. As stated we were very happy with the Dave and his crew the showed up on time, and cleaned up each night at quitting time.

Recent Review: Scott did handyman work for me in June. At that time I showed him a picture of the house a couple blocks from me and asked if he thought he could build railings like that. Once we agreed he would do the work, he went to the neighbor's home (even though I did not know them and had not asked him to do so) and asked if he could closely inspect and measure their railings so that he could figure the correct dimensions for my work. The finished work was exactly what I wanted and I have gotten numerous complements.

Recent Review: It went beautifully, as you can see by the photo uploads. Please note that I painted the concrete steps after the railing were installed. The initial quote was $500, but when Robert got into the job, I had requested a second post on the right side of the porch. (You can see 2 posts on the shorter side railing.) It was due to the way the  front door did not line up with the end of the porch.  So I asked for a second post and offered to pick it up at the supplier. I picked up one (short) post, a post cap and post bottom, and some other piece for a total of $85. This money did not go to Robert, but to be fair, the entire job was $585. Actually, it was good that I picked up that last post and supplies, because it showed me exactly how expensive this product is. Since it is a heavy duty plastic, I will never need to paint it. (I love maintenance free!) Well worth the $ spent. I found 2 Guys with Tools off of Angies LIst and this was he 2nd job I had them (Robert) do.  Robert is very polite, on time, explains things, patient (since I changed the design by adding a 2nd post). He is a handyman, which means he cannot do permitted type jobs. But if you have a handyman type job, he's the guy for you. (He noted there are some permit type jobs he can do if the homeowner pulls the permit.)

Recent Review: So the only problem that I have with these guys was that they weren't very professional with the quoting.  I initially got a quote from them that looked fantastic.  I informed the other providers who had given me quotes that I had found someone else to do the work for less expensive and agreed to sign a contract with the Decksperts.  Then, the Decksperts called and indicated that they made a horrible mistake in the pricing and re-quoted the job for about double.  They were very apologetic and I got the perception it really WAS a mistake and they weren't trying to screw me, so I went with them anyway, especially since it was getting late in the year and I wanted the work done in time for a party I was having (people were booking up quickly this year). I am glad I ended up going with them.  They did a great job.  The steps look beautiful.  They showed up on the exact day they said they would when we had signed the contract a month earlier.  Overall, for the job itself I have zero complaints.  The only drawback was the miss on the quote, but I think it was an honest mistake and they don't deserve to get dinged too much for it.

Work went well. He was prompt with a return call and the visit. He was clear about the work he could do and could not do. We agreed upon the scope of work and set a time for his return to complete the work. He returned as promised and completed work in a timely manner.
