Reviews in Harwich to Install Interior Trim & Decorative Molding

FJJ BRADY CONTRACTING
Absolutely poor craftsmanship, cuts on trim wrong, nothing lined up, nails shot through vinyl trim of windows. Interior trim job was a disaster had to rip it all off and start over after the job Brady Contractors did. Exterior was a total hack job, again must've cut before measuring. Bushes in front of home were trampled, work left incomplete to finished standards. Signed contract wasn't even completed to specs that was provided by John Brady. Contacted them to call and so discuss refund, never called back. Got email stating would give back $50 on a $775 job. Made sure they cashed the check the day they left the job tho. $50 refund never showed up.

AAnthony Quinn Construction
Tony was quick with the quote, removed the original door, the trim, moldings, etc, removed a lot of unseen damage, removed some flooring and put it all back together in  a very workmanlike manner.   He arrived on time, worked the entire time and left the job looking like new.

AMike's Powerhouse Crew
Patrick arrived right on time and immediately went to work. Everything was going well until he got to the last section and discovered carpenter ants had done a major number on the interior wood. He went over the options with me before proceeding and when he was through the section was good as new. Thank you.

Andre was very good to work with on this project. His estimates were detailed and easy to understand. He knows the products and could help guide us in our selection.

FJJ BRADY CONTRACTING
Had found as for experienced carpenter who guarantees work no way. Nice husband and wife but poor craftsmanship to say the least. Hired John to put in replace 4 windows and install interior trim on 6 windows and exterior on 4. Pretty sure he cuts then measures all the interior trim was cut wrong and didnt bother having the sills put on by him because apparently doesnt know how to cut returns on sills or the lower trim board. Once I really looked at how bad it was done contacted him via email even provided pictures as to how poorly it was done and got back poor excuse of sorry you werent happy with the job. No one would be. Nails were miss shot through the vinyl of the windows, left exposed and faltering the integrity of the $400/windows I bought and provided all materials. I have now ripped off all trim and did again myself as I should've in the 1st place. Wasted money on this service. Exterior trim looked it was cut and measured in the dark, hacked, cut short, all of the above. Bushes in front of home were trampled and not replaced even after provided pictures of destruction. Contacted brady numerous times via email sending pictures of how poorly it was done. Got response saying was sorry I wasnt happ with work competed, I asked for $400 back to replace the window he ruined was told I would only get $50 back, never saw that either. Overall pretty embarrassing work and would never hire again.

AE J LYNCH & SONS
Being a single homeowner I had to depend on a reliable and honest contractor to repair and renovate my home. The company did repairs on walls, windows, updates to kitchen and bath areas. They had  competitive estimates and worked efficiently and completed the project on time.  The follow-up call Mr. Lynch made upon completion was appreciated. I would highly recommend EJ Lynch & Sons.

AEngineered Home Solutions
John came to the house and listened and looked at what I wanted to do. In particular, I did not want "replacement type windows" since my sills were rotting and I also wanted new PVC trim and not aluminum or vinyl coating over the old trim, like some companies wanted to do for our windows. John showed us exactly what he would do and how he would do it. He installs Harvey windows, so we went over the options we wanted for those windows and went to see the windows before finalizing the quote. The quote described exactly what was to be done, what window options we had chosen and the measured window rough opening sizes. It also described all the materials he would use on the project including flashing and insulation to be used and where PVC or wood would be used. This was itemized for each room in the house and each room had its own cost shown . After I reviewed the quote I asked John to change the wording of some specific window options, which he was amenable to before I signed the quote. He gave us an estimated start date, which included a lead time for the window manufacturing,  and the job started exactly on that date. The Harvey windows were delivered at 8am on the start date. John provided us with the interior pine trim at the start of the job so that I could stain it prior to installation. I also stained each window's interior "jam extensions" prior to John installing them. He installed the windows so quickly that I could barely keep up with the staining. He completed the work ahead of the original schedule he gave us. The windows look great, both on the exterior of the house and the interior trim. We really like the Harvey windows and we looked at lots of other brands prior to calling John. We would definitely use John's Engineered Home Solutions again.

AFrank Leone
There was quite a bit of rot around the house's windows and doors, and also the soffit in the rear.  We originally approached the project as if the windows could be repaired rather than replaced.  Frank is very knowledgeable with regards to older houses, and he was more than willing to explain the reasons why it would cost much more to try and repair the windows as opposed to completely replacing them. He did extensive research to find the right windows for the project.  We asked for those that would require the least amount of maintenance, and he found windows with no wooden components on their exterior surfaces.  The windows also offered synthetic trim kits for the outside that are weather-proof and will never require painting. Frank started with the front of the house.  The shingles were curling and needed to be replaced.  Not only was the trim around the windows rotten, but the frames were, too. The front steps leading into the house had rotten boards. He arranged for a local landscaper to remove the shrubs from the front of the house that were overgrown and rubbing against the shingles.  He installed aluminum flashing where pieces had been lost to wind, and installed new aluminum gutters and downspouts.  Frank replaced the corner boards around the house with boards made of PVC (for weather resistance.) Frank moved the front steps away from the house, then stripped the shingles.  There was substantial water damage to exterior plywood as well as the studs behind the plywood under some windows that Frank was able to repair without damaging the interior sheetrock.  He removed the old windows, made the proper adjustments to the framing so the new windows would fit properly, installed the proper flashing around the window openings, and installed the new windows.  Frank replaced the front door and storm door, then installed the new cedar shingles. He repaired the front steps and moved them back into place. Once the front of the house was completed, he began removing and replacing the rest of the windows with minimal impact on the cedar shingles. Frank installed new interior trim around the new windows and front door as well as replaced rotten trim around the sliding door in the rear.  His is a very skilled carpenter. Frank is very conscientious and pays attention to every detail.  Throughout the project he communicated his progress by telephone, and by mailing photos of what he thought were important talking points.  He itemized his invoices and clearly described all charges.  I will definitely continue to use Frank in the future and highly recommend him.
