Recent Review: This was an all day job. We had two Crawl Spaces that were filled with 'junk' from the previous owner, they cleaned it all out, leveled out the soil and Encapsulated them both.    After completing the crawl spaces, they removed the old sump from the house's previous owner (found out it was installed with a laundry basket, lucky us).  They installed their TripleSafe with the battery backup and we love it.  After the last few rain storms, we realized it was the best money spent.  So far, no water in our basement.  Jay,our sales rep, had extensive knowledge in basement water issues and I felt no pressure to buy when he came over.  The install team was great and did not leave until everything was perfect. They were all on time and the project was on budget as promised. Everyone from the sales rep, install team, and the office team on the phone is exteremly professional and never thought I was been taken advance of and pushed to buy things I did not need.  I highly recommend this company.

Recent Review: This is a very professional group. The field stone foundation was filled with cement, the floor joists replaced and new lolly columns installed. Then they poured a cement floor on the dirt side of the cellar. The crawl spaces were lined with a vapor barrier. A drain was installed around the interior perimeter of the cellar and a pump placed that drains to the exterior. We are so pleased with our new space. They were able to finish ahead of schedule and the cost was very close to the estimate. I would recommend this company unconditionally.

Recent Review: From the initial contact in mid-June until the job was completed, I was totally impressed with the owner, Michael Martinello.  He was very professional through-out the whole project, from giving a thorough inspection of the premises followed by a very detailed estimate e-mailed to me in under 24 hours.  The estimate included a detailed list of the job to be done, and included "before and after" pictures of the cellar area.   I would like to insert a fact that impressed me about Mike Martinello.  While I was considering another estimate, Mike called me to ask how he might be fitting into my plans.  I had a comfortable feeling that he really wanted to work with me and it helped me make my decision.  (I had not had any such call from anyone else. Maybe they didn't care enough?) Once I contacted Mold Doctors with a committal, the work was started within a 2-week time, as Mike had suggested it would be. Mother Nature, however, was not so cooperative.  During the week before as well as 2 days before the job start date, it rained extensively, to the point where the workmen started the job on time and did what they could.  They were then forced, because of the excessive amount of water in the dirt floor and water dripping from the stone foundation walls, to stop work, because the treatment would not have held to the surfaces, and it would have required a second visit to start over again from the beginning (and could have meant an additional cost).  In the meantime, the work crew placed an industrial size fan/dehumidifier in the cellar and left it running for the following two weeks.  By July 12, they were able to finish the job in a day, and the damp musty smell of mold was completely gone from my home. The Mold Doctor firm suggested that it would be wise to install a machine called Humidex (sp?) that will circulate and remove damp air from the cellar to the outdoors.  This is supposed to work better than a regular humidifier, and will insure that the mold will not reappear.  The current job is guaranteed for 10 years.  I am totally pleased with Mold Doctors, but am hoping I never need to use them again!  However, should that need arise, I would not hesitate to call The Mold Doctors.  They were absolutely a confidence-inducing team to work with in the initial contact, attempts to save me extra costs, and total credibility in their honesty.

Recent Review: First-rate job by the "crew."  Mike, Ken and Greg are courteous, conscientious,  and capable  professionals who take pride in their work.   Much of the work undertaken, by its nature, was nasty and thankless and they (especially Greg, who negotiated the crawl space) handled it gracefully and without complaint.   Ken's carpentry is  a work-of-art.  The team was flexible and stuck with the job until successfully concluded.  And, they are considerate of animals and were very careful to make certain my indoor cats  were secure at all times!  Overall, a  very positive  experience and I recommend them heartily.

Recent Review: The response time was incredibly fast. The cost was explained to me fully before the work was done.. The work done was excellent, especially returning the same day to correct a small problem. The crawl space was left clean and neat. The lights were turned off. The entry area was secured properly. There was no extra charge for the return visit. I have had no further issues with the system to date. Potential future problems were explained to me. I highly recommend Baystate Mold Advisors.

Recent Review: Outstanding! Richard called us back very soon after we first called him, he fit us into his schedule the next day and did an excellent job. Richard got right to work when he arrived, worked very efficiently, took the time and attention to get the A/C's into the ideal fit for the windows and is also a nice, friendly guy. A great first impression! We plan to call Richard again for other handyman/home projects and would highly recommend him to other Angie's List members.

The Mold Doctors was able to schedule our work very quickly and performed the remediation in only four days after budgeting 5 days for the work. The air quality immediately improved, the damp smell disappeared and the crawl space looks incredible. They were able to accommodate our very tight schedule and went way out of their way to get equipment out to the summer house to get the work done in time. Part of the cost for our remediation included shipping equipment out to the house and renting a truck. I would highly recommend them for any type of mold removal & remediation.

DDry Zone Basement
Dehumidifier units they use (Sendona) are failing "worldwide" I am told. They didn't even advise customers; guess you should go and look for error messages on unit in your crawl space - lucky I guess that I did. Then they schedule a "swap out" but didn't come with a unit after calling to say yesterday they'd be here today to "swap out". Manager says her people knew - nice way to support your people Erin! She's expecting more units in next week but doesn't have a date from manufacturer; she sent an email today - pick up the phone - you should expect better service from your supplier so you can take care of your customers. The weather is such that mustiness that's grown should not be a problem she says - a strong Nor'easter rain storm is expected - keep trying. Terrible service.
