Recent Review: We got many estimates for the job, but chose Marlon's company because his price was competitive and we felt he understood what we wanted and he would consult with us every step of the way. As the job progressed, he would constantly ask us what we thought and had no problem making adjustments if we made new decisions as the work went along. The Stone and Garden Solutions crew was also friendly and professional at all times. I have to say that the man is an artist. We communicated what we wanted, but I had trouble visualizing a finished product. All I knew was I wanted it to look natural, and I didn't want to kill any of the shrubbery that was already around the existing pond. He made it very beautiful, and he saved all my plantings. I didn't even have to buy any more. And the custom stone seating he created for my husband and me is beyond anything I anticipated. One other thing -- I found out that if you want a feature or service that Marlon has no experience with, he will research the best solution and figure out how to do it.

Recent Review: We had an ornamental pond that was put in by another contractor last summer. His main line of business was excavation, but he convinced us that he had put in ponds before. Big mistake on our part to trust someone that didnt focus in this area. Needless to say, the prior contractor's work was terrible. The pond was ugly, it leaked and it truly was an eye-sore. Worst of all it was so poorly designed that we had a bad algae problem. We called MetroWest Water Gardens, and they proposed a plan to destroy the old pond, and replace it with a manageable, smaller pond with a stream. They were courteous, and put in a pond that is absolutely gorgeous. The best part is that it is a true living ecosystem, and we no longer have the recurring algae problem. We now have fish, plants and a beautiful addition to our newly landscaped backyard. They are great and I highly recommend them!

Our water garden/waterfall was cleaned out today by Anthony & Joe , "The Pond Guys", and it sparkles. We have used MetroWest Water Gardens for a number of years and totally impressed with the top notch job Anthony & Joe do. Saw the company a number of years ago at the Boston Flower Show and pleased to have found them. Highly recommend them if you are considering putting in a watergarden/pond/waterfall and they are great on fall and spring pond care and cleanout. Careful if you have fish & frogs. They empty and power wash our garden in the spring and we look out on a crystal clear pond thanks to them. Also helpful with pond relates questions and they put out a helpful newsletter to customers on pond care through the seasons.

FPURAQUA POOL SERVICE INC
This company installed my liner in 2005. They were reasonable in price. That is where their performance ends. They were asked to repair some minor cracks that my automated pool cleaner hangs on. The new liner went in and the cracks were still there. I would have gladly paid extra for fifteen minutes of crack filling. They also left the liner retaining bead (7 feet) hanging off the edge, floating in the pool. The liner had a major wrinkle. They said it would work its way out. It never did. When I called them to ask that the liner retainer bead installation be completed, it took two weeks before they returned to seat it. Two summers ago, my laterals blew out and the filter sand all went into the shallow end. Though I carefully shoveled it out, I must have sliced some small holes in the liner. Though my experience was not that great with Pure Aqua, since they installed the liner, I called them and explained that I was loosing an inch a day (perhaps 1000 gallons a day into my hill and expressed urgency. I asked for a repair diver to come out. Still adding water every day, two weeks went by. I called again and was told that my request "slipped through the cracks." A week later they sent a guy out. My son said the guy was messing around with my filter. Two more weeks went by as I continued to loose water into my hillside at 1000 gallons a day. Finally a guy representing himself as the owner came out and said, "frankly sir we don't have a diver right now but we are trying to hire one." I asked who I should call. He would not make a recommendation. He suggested using the yellow pages. I went to McCarthy Pools in Southborough. They had it fixed in three days. I was very patient through the whole ordeal. A few months later I received a bill for about $175 from Pure Aqua. I called and asked to talk to the owner. The secretary was not helpful and said I needed to pay. The next month I received another bill. I called again and nicely asked to talk to the owner. This time the woman was short with me and said to pay the bill. The next month I received another bill. Each time I called and each time the secretary became more and more harsh. Frankly, she is mean as a wounded rattle snake. After many months of my attempts to clear this up, they sued me for $175 in small claims court in Waltham. The judge was unsympathetic and I paid. If you are all about price, go with these guys. I pay a little more now for service and am very happy with McCarthy Pool.

Every month we know they will be here. We have a lot of gardens, woods and pond near us so it is very important we can count on these services. They are also very friendly.

ANicolazzo Bros Landscape Corp
They arrived promptly even though it was a very busy season. Had all the equipment and supplies they needed. They filled in a large 5' diameter hole for us, using a lot of old rocks lying around and cleaning up the yard in the process. The lawn has not sunk in at all which was my main concern. I did not really shop the price thus have no feedback on that. I was content with the price and they could come quickly, which was important when you have a gaping hole in a small yard.

AC W JAE LANDSCAPING
cw jae landscaping came to our home three times. 1: transplanted trees & bushes, great job. 2: cleaned our fish pond & replaced a pump. Also gave us great advice on pond maintenance, another great job. 3: cleaned flower beds (extensive) weeded, spread mulch. Because of all the rain, cw jae was a bit behind in meeting their commitments. We understood that. Craig kept in touch with us and he got the job done! He's worth the wait! We are very happy with all the work he did for us.
