Recent Review: Ed came out twice and was very responsive to our questions and concerns. He scheduled us fairly quickly considering it is a peak period. The workers were efficient and did not waste time. Their work looks good and I hope it solves my problem with water intrusion in the long term.
Recent Review: Went very well. Bill has been very reactive and was always nice on the phone. He came with 2 other colleagues to install insulation in our attic. The job was done in ~2h30 for ~500 sqft. We immediately felt the difference and I hope our oil bill will too :)
Simon and his crew are conscientious and professional. They honor the contract, pay attention to detail, and clean up after themselves when they are done each day. They are the best!

I told that girl at Home Depot that I wanted fibreglass batt insulation. The salesman came over and checked the house and went through his pitch and then told me that they did not do batts just spray insulation. he wanted to spray approx 2 feet on insulation in the attic to reach an R value of R-49. I told him that i did not want to do that as I would never be able to walk up there again cause you could not see the beams. He told me any insulation contractor had to install by code and that the code was R-49 going to R-60. The people that finally did the job told me that that was not true and that if it was not new construction I did nto have to go to code and they said that the code was not R-49. I do not know who was right but I did not pull a permit and I did not go with R-49, I went with R30.

When the man came out to estimate the job, he based his estimate on three men, for six hours of work. The job actually took two men 2 hours to complete. They never even returned to do the finishing. We had supplied the materials. I tried speaking to the supervisor who said the check had been cashed and that was it! I contacted the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General, but no one was of much help. Stay clear of this outfit.

Our work was completed in two full days. Bill was present both days and he did alot of the work. Our home was not disrupted much at all. Bill was very concerned about our happiness with the work he was doing as i was present both days of the install. Each day the work was started and comp[leted neatly and orderly. The results: As my home has 6" well insulated exterior walls, and this winter has been one of the mildest winters on record here in MA. I can't say I've seen a huge decrease in my ulitity bills because they ARE much lower with a milder winter. But i can say we have noticed our heat comes on less frequent, and stays on 1/4 of the of the "usual" duration. That to me personally was HUGE. Because I've had sinus issues since we built this home. Now i can breath better, sleep better, and I can actually smell things now! I've not had clear sinuses for over a decade! We also noticed an immediate equalization between the temps upstairs and down. The Jacuzzi stays warmer longer, and the cold spots are gone, as well as the usual warmer spots in our home this sping are comfortable. I cant recomend Ego Attic Gaurds services strongly enough. Seems that energy prices are not going to come down anytime soon and this is probably the best investment in my home I've made to date. The only regret we have is that we wish we had not just painted the interior of our home this past summer as I'd of LOVED to have been able to use Eco Attic Gaurds newest product Ceramic Insulated Paint. If you are looking to build a new home I'd very strongly recomend using ECO Attic Gaurds radiant foil barrior on the exterior walls as well as the attic and basement. I wish that this product was available 16 years ago when we built our home.
