Recent Review: I contacted Jeff through Angie's List and he responded the next day by email. He came over a few days later and we went over what I needed. He suggested that I go to Lowes and pick out the kitchen faucet that I wanted. He had told me that the better names like Delta had lifetime guarantee on parts, so I picked up a stainless steel Delta. Also, salesman at Lowes said the faucet that I bought was very good. Jeff asked me what kind of a toilet and what color I wanted, and he recommended an American Standard Toilet, and he agreed to pick it up. About 5 days later he installed them both with no problems. The toilet is a 1.2 gallon flush. That will be a great water saver over time. (And it really works- one flush only.) Jeff is courteous and a professional and I would have him back in a heartbeat for plumbing problems. Any question I had he answered with detail and I trusted him right from the get go. I recommend him highly. Just a note on the total price. The $615 includes cost of toilet, installation of the toilet and the installation of my kitchen faucet. Almost forgot-toilet seat was included in $615 price. I picked up the faucet for an additional $137 or so, including tax.

Recent Review: Strange that he charged for tool rental and truck dispatch. Kept saying how low his labor rate was and that gas for the truck and tools cost money. Labor rate was $80/hr, and didn't seem that low to me. This is a rental home, so I don't have that much first-hand information, but I tried to be careful on costs and quotes. To receive a bill for almost 50% higher cost was startling. Does it really take two plumbers 3 man hours to replace a toilet? I negotiated this bill down to $300, but he told me to call someone else next time.

Recent Review: Job cost $120.00 for estimated 2 hr of work + materials.Showed on time. Installed toilet with bolts that to long,  they stick out so much he could not put decorative caps on them. Vanity was to be installed in the corner with back and left side flash with the wall. Left 1/2 inch gap on the side. Connecting faucet was a challenge since it was made for European market, but that was the main reason I hired plumber. After spending little more than 1Hr left without connecting waterline, due to some missing part, telling me that he will be back next day to finish.

Recent Review: Steve was easy to get in touch with and able to come by within a week to give us an estimate, which was important since we were in a bit of a time crunch. He had great suggestions on how to save money while still getting what we wanted - they specialize in bathrooms, just bathrooms, and I think that actually helps a LOT. And I loved that the estimate was itemized based on the options you choose (e.g., it costs this much for tile vs. this much for a acrylic liner, this much for toilet installation, and if you add wainscoting it'll be this much extra, etc.) -- not some magic number pulled out of a hat like some contractors give you. I was able to stay within our budget by cutting back on a couple of premium options we didn't really need.  SSDB's subcontractors did a good job all around - I even hired a couple of them for other small projects. And the final product was terrific. The subway tile-style acrylic liner looks great, and in fact everyone who's seen it thinks it's real subway tile, even other contractors and my mom -- who had insisted I should go with the more expensive real tile. When she first saw it, she said, "Oh, you decided to do tile? I thought you were going to get the acrylic liner? It looks great!" Very happy with South Shore Dream Bath, and we'd likely use them again when it comes time to update our upstairs bathroom.

Recent Review: My brothers and I wanted to get our 87 year old dad a new walk-in shower as a Christmas gift. I knew that there were a few other plumbing issues in the house and called a coupled of plumbers but settled with Pat Klammer because he was the most prompt in responding to my inquiry. I don't live in town, but Pat seemed to understand what my brothers and I were hoping to accomplish in my dad's house more than any of the other plumbers that I had talked to. And, right from the get-go I felt like I had made the right decision on which plumber to go with and continue to this day to feel the same way. The plumbing, the carpentry was all top-notch. I couldn't have been luckier to find such a good company. Pat was very organized, very prompt and very efficient in his work as was the work of his helper and his carpenter Jamie Esoldi.

Jeff did a great job. We hired another plumber initially, but he couldnt finish the job in over a month. Jeff came in, assessed the work completed thus far and corrected the mistakes from the other plumber. All in all, he re-did the plumbing, connected our gas stove, added new toilets, and made sure it all passed inspection. He kept us in the loop the entire time and gave some great suggestions/ideas for future items. I pass his name along any time a get a chance!

There were a couple of things that went wrong but not due to South Shore Baths.  The tub was back-ordered and delayed the project.  Steve did offer to use a different tub but we decided to wait for the one we preferred.  One of the sinks arrived pre-drilled for a 4" faucet, we were using 8" so that had to be reordered.  Overall they did a great job on both baths.  Thank you South Shore Baths!
