Recent Review: First off, I have lived in my home for 30 years and I have a list of people who have built my additions, replaced windows, re-designed and built my kitchen, done all those projects and more. Secondly, I am kind of a dinosaur when it comes to finding 'the other kind of contractors.' Those are the ones who you only need every other decade or so to do the jobs rarely repeated for a homeowner, like repaving a driveway. When I need those types of jobs done, I like to look in the 'yellow pages.' Well, was I really surprised this time when I looked in my local phone book (which has gotten very thin because of all those cell phones and no listings in the phone book.) I wasn't able to find any local contractors. In fact, there were only 2 listings and both did not do paving. I then did an internet search, but it was fruitless. Most of the listings were for companies at too far away. I then wound up on Angie's list and was able to search w/o having to pay a fee because I live in an area that is 'under served,' so to speak. I got Cooper Paving number and called. His office staff responded to my request very quickly. Mr. Cooper gave a fair and honest estimate of the job. He answered all my questions that addressed my many problems with water pooling which caused flooding. He was polite and respectful. He scheduled my job rather promptly and was on time and it was completed quickly. His crew was well supervised and skilled. When my hose 'exploded' his worker made sure I knew about it and told me as soon as he saw me (the hose was not his fault). I like having some of my home repairs done by someone who is old enough to remember cars used to have carburetors. Long story short, I am extremely happy with this company and would recommend to anyone.
Recent Review: It was perfect. We called to request and estimate and 48 hours later it was paved. They were quiet, professional, and neat. It looks fantastic and there was not one problem. I wish everything in life went as smooth as my new driveway. Thanks to Mike and Rachel and the crew for a job well done.
Recent Review: It was my pleasure to work with Wayne. Wayne worked closely with me on the driveway design. He worked closely with his men during the actual construction. He spoke to me before beginning each phase of the project, making sure that he and I were in agreement about what was to be done next. And Wayne worked on schedule. I was thoroughly satisfied in all aspects of the project, and pleased by the result - a great looking driveway.
Recent Review: The owner, Vernon Bish, immediately responded to my request for a quote and came out on a Sunday afternoon to go over the job requirements and then gave me a verbal quote on the spot, followed by a more detailed, written estimate via email. I found him to be very personable and professional, as well as very knowledgeable in the paving/sealing industry. He explained the operation clearly, answered my questions and provided follow-up to ensure that I understood the process. Unfortunately, you can only hire one company to perform the work and I opted to use another contractor, but I would definitely include Sealcoat Solutions when I was considering paving or sealing work. You should have them discuss your needs and provide an estimate.

Recent Review: The men from J and L Musto Construction did a fine job on our driveway. It was old asphalt that had many dropped spots and is now smooth and pleasing to look at as well. They arrived on time and quickly did their job with no surprises. I would certainly recommend them for their quality work and extremely fair prices.
After contacting AllState paving, they came out and measured and provided a clear estimate. We decided to proceed. They came out on the days that they said, did the work that they said they would do and our new driveway looks good. After they were done, Larry answered our questions on do's and don'ts while the asphalt was curing. The driveway looks good.

Everything went well from start to finish. John responded immediately to our inquiry and came out and provided a quote. The paving crew did a great job replacing our driveway and addressed all of our requests. We liked how responsive John was and that he met all of his commitments. They were quick and professional. Our driveway looks great and the problems we had were resolved.

Awesome! Joe and his team worked hard to make sure that the driveway was done correctly. We also had Joe come back to seal coat the driveway. The rain water drains quickly and we just had two inches of snow that easily shoveled off in a few minutes. It looks great! Thanks Joe!

It went very well. John and his crew arrived on time at a little past seven in the morning. Proceeded to measure out the driveway and begin the removal of the old blacktop. They completed all the work by about 10:30 AM. Everyone was behaved professionally.

I asked for a quote from AJ Proia & Son Asphalt Paving for a new 2-car driveway for the newly built 2-car garage. It was late in the season and we were experiencing terrible rain storms. Many of the paving companies I asked for quotes never replied. However, this company replied within hours to indicate that he was booked out to the end of the month and with the terrible weather, would not get to it until spring. We really appreciated his responsiveness even though we didn't use him.

Not as expected. Never showed on promised date but called and said it was due to rain even though we had beautiful blue sky and sunshine all day long! What was to be a 2 day project ended up taking over a week in spite of perfect weather to get completed! Had to hire another contractor to take down chain link fence and restore after completion in spite of sales representative assuring me that wouldn't be necessary. Then drove heavy equipment on newly restored lawn leaving deep ruts that are still visible. This cost an additional $190!! All in all they did a very good job and I would definitely use them again. As noted they were very good about calling with explanations and rescheduling dates. Have not had this wonderful kindness from most other contractors I've hired.

Promptly came and provided estimate. I ended up choosing another contractor, but this one's estimate was in the same ballpark, and Ayaz was very prompt and professional. I would certainly consider them again.

CPremier Pavers & Hardscape Co
Premier Pavers subcontracted our asphalt driveway reconstruction to another company. Premier Pavers' owner was very nice and accomodating in making the deal; however, I was dismayed when the subcontractor had told me he brought a certain quantity of gravel sufficient for the job but I had calculated he would have needed twice as much. There is an industry scheme to not deliver enough material in a paving job to save the contractor money. I called Ian, the owner of Premier Pavers. We discussed the problem and I was assured enough gravel was provided. We disputed claims back and forth by email. I asked him to provide receipts for the materials the company had purchased, which he furnished, but the math didn't quite compute. After several weeks of aggravation, we finally gave up with the contest, knowing that the next time we replace our driveway, we will be on site, 100% of the time, monitoring the progress of the work. Be careful. Do your homework to determine exactly how many truckloads of gravel and asphalt should be added for your job and make sure it arrives on the day of work. Check out the National Asphalt Pavement Association for industry standards or call them.
