Recent Review: I purchased the Tuff Shed through Home Depot. The install was scheduled very timely. The initial install team was great, very professional. However, the install team advised half-way through installation that they were not provided enough trim to finish the final details on the shed. When they realized they were not given enough trim , they advised the Tuff Shed office - so another install team had to come out to finish the trim on the shed a few weeks later. The final install team finished all the details and I am now very pleased with my Tuff Shed purchase.
Recent Review: Sam Swett is great. He works by himself on the North shore, but will travel to New Orleans or Baton Rouge. We waited about a month for him to be able to come and build on site, which worked out well for us. He moved the door to accommodate our air conditioning unit outside. He came early in the morning with all of his materials prepped, and by 5 p.m. we had a beautiful storage shed with a shingle roof. We researched a number of shed companies (mostly on the Northshore) and he was the most reasonably priced. Highly recommend Sam to anyone looking for a shed.
Recent Review: Cory first came out to provide me with an estimate and quoted me 4 days for the job. Gabriel built the shed in about a week because we had some bad weather. They stuck to the original estimate price wise. They were great to work with. One thing I liked about them was they added a lot of custom details to the shed that a general manufacturer couldn’t do.

Provider used a subcontractor. They were a little late in getting started, but did a very good job. Cleaned up nicely and cameback after the job to check to see that everything was done correctly

My initial contact with Mr. Darren Nichols of 3R NOLA took place on March 1. I left him a voicemail, and he almost immediately returned my phone call. Mr. Nichols was very professional and accommodating to my many phone calls and e-mails, requesting additional information. On March 3, I requested a quote for labor and materials for a 4" cement slab with highway-grade meshing, assembly of a 10'x8' vinyl shed, and to replace a rusted out decorative support piece to my built-in patio. I received a quote back the same day. I accepted the proposal on March 5. Mr. Nichols initially scheduled the cement forming for March 9, and the pouring on March 10, but due to inclement weather, it was pushed back to March 15. The framing and pouring commenced as scheduled on the 15th. One minor issue was that the cement subcontract underestimated the quantity of cement needed for the job, so 3/4 of the pour was initial done, then the crew came back after 2 or 3 hours and made the second pour. Even though the colorization difference was apparent, Mr. Nichols reassured me that the separate pours will not effect the stability of the slab. After curing over several days time, the assembly was scheduled for March 19. Mr. Nichols and his crew were very courteous and professional. Overall, 3R NOLA did an excellent job. Since I have never worked with a contractor on a personal level, so I was initially nervous about signing on the dotted line. Mr. Nichols and his crew exceeded my expectations. My next project is to convert my two-car garage to a playroom, and I definitely plan on calling 3R NOLA!

Benny and Acadian did a great job on two separate projects for us. First (early 2016), we had an old attached carport in our backyard that was no longer used as a carport. We wanted to convert it into a storage shed. He gave us a fair bid (we took 2 other bids, 1 was much higher than his and 1 was comparable). His workers were very considerate and professional when we met them. Benny was very responsive when I had questions. The project was fairly involved, because they needed to move some HVAC units out of the way, expand the size of the concrete foundation, frame the walls for the shed, wire the shed for electricity, replace the carport lighting fixture, install exterior lighting fixtures, and install and paint exterior siding to match the house. They did everything perfectly! Second (mid-2017), we hired them again a year later to replace the old railing on our front porch. We had a miscommunication with Bennie about what we wanted the replacement to look like. But Benny and his carpenter were very responsive when we realized that what his carpenter was constructing for was not what we wanted. They quickly changed course to build what we wanted and we really appreciated the quality work and professionalism. We are in the process of getting a bid from Acadian to do some more work for us!

They came out the same day I called. They showed up on time every day and worked regardless of weather. The quality of their work was excellent. I will call them again in the future.

AAssociated Housing Contractors
We are very pleased with the work provided by Associated Housing Contractors. We had a very large shed on our property that was largely unusable because it was unstable and needed most of the interior concrete replaced. AHC replaced the bad concrete, re-routed water lines, upgraded electrical connections, stabilized the roof and building, poured concrete driveways, added garage doors and replaced the cement walkway running down the side of our house. Elbert and his crew were great to work with, and the finished product exceeded our expectations.

ABobs Painting & General Repairs
We started off needing our badly peeling back and front porch floors painted. We needed it done in hurry so it would be ready before our crawfish boil for the St Patrick's day parade in Metairie. I had seen the Bob's Painting sign at three different houses on the same street in our neighborhood a couple of years ago so I looked them up an gave them a call. Bob came out promptly, gave us a good estimate and said it would be not problem at all to get it done in time. After they started working I began noticing other things that were in bad need of painting. I asked for an estimate on doing the entire exterior of the house and tool shed. He gave me what I thought was a very reasonable estimate and assured me he could have it all done in time so, we agreed to do it. He, his son and their crew were at the house early every day, worked diligently and were professional and clean. We had a double door on the shed that was badly water damaged and I asked about that. He informed me that it was not a standard sized door and that he would have to replace the double doors with single door that would not be as wide. He would have to frame it and replace the siding boards on the front of the shed to the height of the door. (I already knew it was not a standard sized door that I could just buy a replacement for. If it was, I would have done that a long time ago.) Again, he gave me a reasonable price and said he could do it in time. So I gave him the go ahead on that also. When prepping the house he also pressure washed the rear, fairly large deck. On the last day I asked if he would also stain the deck for me. He said no problem, measured the deck and gave me a price, We picked a solid color stain, he went to the paint store to get it and went to work. They finished everything up today, 3 days before the St Patrick's day parade, as promised. And the house looks great. I will definitely call Bob or his son the next time we need similar work done. Actually I already have a job for him, replacing our attic stairs, but told him we aren't doing anything else until after the parade. So we will likely be calling him next week.

Great work! SES was very flexible and responsive, especially with coordinating delivery issues with the shed manufacturer. This was a large building - 12 x 20 x 10 high with heavy steel beams and a slab that had to be poured per engineering drawings. The crew worked safely and effectively, and their foreman was very knowledgeable about the materials and the construction. Very professional job, respectful of my home, flexible and easy to work with. They also handled all the permitting and inspections.
