Recent Review: I had a list of items that I needed done around the house.  I called Larry and we discussed what I needed to be done.  Although he specialized in pressure washing, he said he could do everything we discussed.  He was very polite on the phone and in person.  He arrived at the time we agreed upon and finished all repairs in one morning.  I will definitely call Larry again.

Recent Review: Todd was recommended to us by a prominent local realtor who is a friend of ours. Todd did a great job on everything.   We thought our expensive custom door was ruined upon installation 1 1/2 years before. In addition to the doors crooked appearance, we could barely open it.  Todd identified the problem and fixed it quickly.  Now, the door looks better and opens smoothly with no extra effort.  He repaired an interior door with similar issues. Todd removed & repaired shower doors that had leaked ever since original installation 1 year before.  They look great and don't leak any more. The pantry shelves he added perfectly match existing shelves. He installed our microwave with it's kit and our matching cabinet panels--it looks good & is very sturdy. His grout work is very neat and looks great. Our house numbers are set out from the wall (not flush)--they look very cool, especially when lit up at night. All of Todd's work throughout the house is of very high quality.  He is friendly.  We will definitely hire him again and highly recommend him!

Recent Review: Rusty worked with my schedule on the phases of the job. His crew was always punctual, quiet (I work from home and have conference calls), laid down paper throughout the halls to the bathroom to protect the wood floors, kept the bathroom door closed, set up work area outside to minimize dust, and cleaned up the area each work day. Rusty was on the job at least 1-2 times a day and explained exactly what was happening each day. He clearly explained everything, provided options where approprirate, and worked with me on special requests. I wanted to buy the shower head and shower door separately from the allowance in the bid so I could charge these items on my Lowes or Home Depot accounts. Rusty was very professional and his crew was very skilled, courteous and considerate.

Recent Review: They did a real good job. We remodeled a 38 year old house and you don’t anticipate a problem. The only problem I had was that the time limit extended but you would have to understand it. They did a good job. We are planning to have them come back and do some more work but we haven’t got around it.  We are going to use them again.  Our house is 38 years old and we had a shower which was leaking so we called them out and that was the major thing. While we were doing that we replaced carpet with laminate flooring and we had some painting done.  They also did some minor maintenance thing.  They did a good job on the shower.  They painted walls and replaced flooring.  After a while we got along on a friendly basis and they would come in and talk to me and they were a friendly group of men.  I don’t like having too many people in my house but they were in and out. They are nice people.  We were quite pleased with the price. They put a shower door which we were not real pleased with but then it goes back to price because he was trying to keep us in a certain budget.  There was nothing wrong with the quality but it was a less expensive way to do what we wanted done and it didn’t work.  They put a less expensive shower door and then they had to replace it so the price went up.  The quality of work was good but his quote was not as accurate as we would have liked.  He kept us in his mind and kept us under a certain figure. They were responsive and they were out on a Saturday to give us a quote. We talked on Monday and they were here on Wednesday to do the work. They were very punctual.

Recent Review: When we first discussed the work we wanted done with various contractors, we were very specific in what we wanted and the quality we expected. Louis (Legacy Builders Owner) listened and asked questions that no one else asked. We were impressed with his apparent thoroughness and honest statement that "I won't be the cheapest but I will provide the quality of materials and workmanship that you seem to want." At the end of the contractor interview process we can confirm that he was not the cheapest in dollars but definitely provided the best value and at the level we were looking for. The Legacy site team was very knowledgeable, neat, and punctual. Also, very creative in adapting our design concepts to a great finished product. This was a fairly high end remodel that included a good bit of demolition, new ceramic tile floors, tile walls, some plumbing replacement, new built in linen cabinet, new lighting, new faucets/toilets/shower fittings, some electrical wiring changes, granite vanities/shower bench and door sill, frameless glass shower doors, glass lavatories, painting and crown moldings. Of particular note was how clean the workers kept the house with clean-up every day. The workers actually can to be like family and our dog looked forward to their arrival each morning. It's nice to have workers who avoid any rough language and we always were happy to have them in our home. Legacy gets our unrestricted recommendation.

Recent Review: I would like to start out saying that my husband and I are first time homebuyers. Unfortunately we were very naive to think that general contractors and business owners just flat out do good business. We had no idea just how wrong we could be. Jeff Williams and Tony Grubbs are not only partners that own East Baton Rouge Glass, they also have a contracting business on the side where they do everything from electrical work to installing skylights. The work that we had done was supposed to only take 2 weeks. We wanted our home to be completed before we moved in. On moving day, there were large tools left in the living room, boxes of tile all over the master bedroom, our toilet was leaking so bad that it was dripping through the floor and down the back corner of the home, there was no shower door, and part of the crown molding was missing in the guest bedroom. Of course my husband called Jeff Williams to let him know what was going on. Jeff said that he would be there by 10 am to repair everything because the movers were going to be there with the truck at 11 am. He never showed up. He showed up around 1 pm while we had movers and furniture delivery trucks in our yard. He did such a terrible job with the crown molding that I still want to cry when I think about it. At one point, I walked in to see Jeff Williams and his partner, Tony Grubbs, standing on top of my refinished 1950's teacher's desk to install the crown molding. They scratched the top of it so badly that we have to sand it down and refinish it. My husband made a rookie mistake of paying him in full before we actually did a walkthrough to make sure everything was properly done because we thought we could trust him. We tried calling for 2 weeks with no response. Finally, we got in touch with Tony Grubbs to install our shower door. He installed it and it was leaking so badly that we had to get him to come back out to fix it. He stood us up twice before he finally showed up to repair it. A week later our television was plugged into one of the outlets that were repaired by Jeff Williams, and it fried so bad that our whole bedroom was filled with smoke. We have tried calling Jeff Williams so many times and he has not returned our calls once. I spoke with Tony Grubbs to let him know about our electrical problems and he said that he would call Jeff for us. He said that he told Jeff to call us back and that Jeff told him that he would call us. We have not heard from Jeff still. It's been a nightmare dealing with this group. Please save your sanity and deal with a different business. We basically feel like we were robbed. We saved up for 2 years to pay for this type of remodel. Some other things I should mention are that the paint job in the bathroom that was repair was awful. There were spots around fixtures completely left undone. Also, our bathroom is not level where the pier was supposed to be fixed. I'm happy to answer any questions regarding this service provider. UPDATE***Our electrical in our home will now have to be repaired for $10,000 due to the lies that these guys told us.

Recent Review: Was introduced by a friend. Called Randy Kelley, owner, and he made an appointement to find out what we wanted. Randy came back two more times as we were changing what and how we wanted it done. He brought an estimate and contract and we agreeded to a start date. He and his people came 1/2 hour before they were to start, as they did every day. Randy was sure to let us now via texting as to if he was coming the next day or not. He let us know when a sub was coming when to expect and who to expect. During the process my wife went in the hospital for emergency surgery was in the hospital for 10 days. Randy and his people worked around me having to go to the hospital and leaving my house open so they could come and go. They also made sure our dog was where she belonged. They made sure as not to scar our floors and cleaned up everyday before they left. I have dealt with contracts and subcontracs in the past and have never been as pleased as I was with Randy and his subcontractors. Randy checked on every detail and made sure every thing was done to his standards. Randy has 4-5 jobs going at a time, small contractor, but checked on our job everyday. He does his own plumbing and uses the same subs on every job, this give him control of the job but also of the people he uses. They are so professional he would not have to do that and the results would be the same. I would recommend Special Projects without any reservations. Anyone that uses his company will not be sorry. As my wife and I have gone through the house after the job was done we have never found anything out of place or missing andare extremely please with the end results. My wife refers to our bath as a SPA.

Everything went well.  They were prompt and responded to phone calls and questions within a reasonable amount of time.  Tim the tile guy, did excellent work and used his time well. They were careful to keep other areas of the house as neat and clean as possible by covering furniture, etc. and cleaning up prior to leaving for the day.  I thought their price was reasonable as well.  We are enjoying our new bathroom!

I had to pay $4,600 deposit & $3,000 after granite was installed, and bal. $3,250 at completion.  I signed contract 8/11 and paid bal. on 9/22.  Louis C. Rogge, Jr., (owner) was not well organized.  The backsplash tile was not ordered on time.  Cost us 2 wks.  He promised plumbers, but none showed.  He wasn't on the schedule.

I cannot emphasize enough how happy we were with this company. The result of the work is a beautiful tile shower which we love. Louis suggested a stock kitchen sink base cabinet as a solution to our narrow bathroom problem, saying he could cut down the depth. When I asked him to also cut off the toe kick, add feet and paint the whole cabinet for a more furniture-style look he cheerfully agreed and it turned out beyond perfect. Additionally, the team re-centered our existing shower drain and shower head plumbing, replaced our vanity light fixture, moved an outlet, and feathered new bathroom flooring/grout into our existing flooring/grout which looks absolutely seamless. He also ended up doing a decent amount of painting which looks very professional. This was our first contracted remodel project and Louis helped us every step of the way from material suggestions, to design inspiration, to narrow bathroom layout solutions. He interfaced with any outside companies (Granite, Shower door) to take the pressure off of us of finding them and getting the materials on time. The whole process took about 2 weeks and by the end of it Louis and his team felt like family. Louis kept us 100% in the loop through the course of the work which we appreciated so much and always made sure we were happy with the work before moving on to the next task. He wasn't afraid to rip something out and do it over if it wasn't up to his standards or ours. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would (and will!) recommend Legacy Builders to anyone.
