Recent Review: The work went well, the crew was extremely professional and I was impressed with the quality of the work that they did.  I went home for lunch the day of the work and went up on the roof to see how it was going.  They had cut away all the old stuff in the area that were affected and a few that I didn't know about and said that they would make sure they sealed everything before leaving.  The only issue I had is that my A/C comes out my  pitched roof at that point and there had been 18x18 box to accommodate that.  I had asked Alan who had quoted the job that I had wanted to keep (replace with new) that box so that I could keep the vent coming to the far side of the house to augment the split system i want to install.  I had also told the crew that while I was there.  Or I was going to have a 8" duct running through the attic cooling it off instead of my house.  I did sort of explain that to the crew and I had thought they understood.   That was the only sticking point of a otherwise good job.  Instead of replacing the box, (that the duct was coming into and then feeding the back room)  the crew had given me a access point for the room directly under the flat roof and sealed up the wall where the A/C would have come out.  So I called Alan and explained the crossed wire we had, once he understood what i was talking about, he had said that he was in the wrong and that he would get his guys to come back, but he was worried about cutting the hole into the side of the wall for the pipe.   Well long story, short, i went up into the attic (NOT FUN) and cut the flex duct back at the source and sealed it off.  Low pitch roof, lots of A/C duct does not equal to crawling around in 90+ degree heat in a attic.  So now I have a 30+ foot of duct sitting in my ceiling that is rubbish.  but overall even though i had to fix a little, i'm guessing its ok.  It was just because of miss-communication that it happened, so just be sure that no matter the contractor and you are clear on what you have going on, In Alan's defense I changed  the scope a little mid-stream after Alan had been to my property, and he misunderstood what I had wanted.  So in the end no big deal i was able to spend 30 mins and fix it sort of. The crew was very professional and cleaned up all their stuff afterwards and they explained everything, so despite a setback overall its ok, just hot as Hades on the other side of the house until i get my split system... ugh..

Recent Review: The identification of the problem and the repair required two visits on consecutive days, for which I was charged only one service call fee.  Both of the technicians were professional, courteous, articulate, well-groomed, and were very clear with explaining the problem and potential solutions.  The scheduler called me promptly to schedule visits from the technicians and they arrived punctually.  The air conditioning is blowing cold air again, after a refrigerant recharge.  The technicians from Apollo identified the problem correctly the first time and repaired it. This was a good value for me because it was so hot outside, though I don't suspect Apollo competes much on price - their hallmark is their service, and it shines.

Recent Review: Brandon came out and gave us some options. Any questions we had were quickly answered. Right away I felt like Brandon was someone I wanted to work with. He is very genuine and easy to talk to. We set up an install date and the new system was installed with no issues. I would certainly use Wyoming Air again. In fact, we did call them to fix the AC at one of our rental houses. The repair was made quickly and our tenants were happy.

Recent Review: Technician arrived at the appointed time. He ran a quick test and decided system needed a refrigerant charge. Charge was added and I was told that if this did not correct problem very quickly, I should let them know. Within several hours the system was working like new. Technician seemed knowledgeable, was polite and very neat, even wearing shoe covers to walk through the house.

Recent Review: I put in a panicked call at 1:15 due to water coming out of the a/c unit in my basement. The amount of water was startling and I wasn't sure where it was coming from. Since it was Sunday, I wasn't sure what would happen, but I called and got a real person on the phone! She was very nice and professional and promptly sset about scheduling my appointment. She called me back about 15 minutes later and said a tech would be there in 15 or 20 minutes. The tech was there in 10 minutes! He was very polite and even put on shoe covers before entering the house. He promptly set to work and assured me it was nothing serious, just a clogged drain pipe. He took the time to explain how the a/c unit works. When he completed the repairs, he even cleaned the front of the unit! I was very impressed. They now have a new customer for life!

Reviews in Latonia for Central AC Repair

ABockrath Heating & Cooling
I called Bockrath HVAC after our Central AC stopped blowing air altogether. I figured it  had frozen up due to a low refrigerant issue. I called them midday Friday and they were able to come up noon on Saturday. Chris, the service tech was on time and very professional. He tested the system for pressure and checked for obvious leaks (which were not found). Our system was 1lb low on freon so he filled it. He also took the time to answer some questions and concerns I had about the age and condtion of the HVAC and the coils. AC is back up and working after the recharge. I will definitely call the for future service and intend to sign a yearl service agreement with them in the fall. I also anticipate we may replace the system in a couple of years as it was undersized with inadequate ducting. Bockrath is very professional, reasonably priced and having also installed a new Central AC at my inlaws, I can vouch for the quality of their work. Chris was a pleasure to work with.

BAPOLLO HOME IMPROVEMENTS
I needed a new central AC for my house. I got two estimates, and decided on Apollo because their pricing and financing options were more competitive. With both estimates, I felt that the product, warranty, qualified installers, and response time were comparable. I was pleased with the installation, and general performance of the Apollo service reps. As an example, the day after the installation, I noticed an oily substance leaking from one of the refrigerant lines. They responded within two hours, did a thorough check out, and found that there was some residual refrigerant on the inside of the AC housing that had run down and dripped on the base. Quick response and qualified service rep. What has left a bad impression in dealing with Apollo on this matter, is the way I chose to finance the work using an "18 months interest free" contract. I'm a big fan of interest free loans, and this played a significant role in my decision to choose Apollo. After receiving my account information on the financing, I noticed an "activation fee" over and above my contracted amount with Apollo. I called the finance company on two occasions, and also contacted Apollo to get an answer about the added charge. I got a different answer about the fee each time I called Apollo and the finance company. I told Apollo that they should credit me the additional fee, and then work it out themselves with the financing company. I haven't heard anything from Apollo in a few days now, and assume they are hoping this will go away. I expect issues to arise in contracts such as these, so the degree to which a company stands behind their commitments carries a lot of weight in my reviews. At this point, I can't say I would recommend Apollo because in the end, they have given me verbal explanations, but really aren't stepping up on this one.

have used them for many years to maintain HVAC system in a 65 year old home. They have always been reliable and, although not the lowest bidder, fairly priced.

AAir Authority Heating & Air Conditioning
We had both our central air conditioners break down within a week of each other just before a heat wave hit the area.  Air Authority came out to the house within one day to give us a quote.  They were able to install the two new air conditioners within two days.  They brought two crews out to install the units and were completed in about 4 hours.  They were very professional and the entire experince was great.

AA & K Heating & Air
I can not say enough positive about John (owner) and A & K Heating and Cooling!  John has helped me out on numerous occasions with my furnace and recently with my central air conditioner.   He is very responsive and EXTREMELY HONEST.  He made a special  trip out to my house in the extreme heat to fix my AC unit.  He could have taken advantage of the situation and charged me to come out on that extremely hot day but just fixed the problem quickly for a very fair price.  When it comes time to replace my AC unit I won't call anyone else. John and A&K have proven they are honest and reliable and MORE than fair on several occasions!  It's not often you find someone so honest!

Company arrived and got to work immediately. They removed the old units carefully and disposed of them and installed the new ones. Their estimate of completion time was accurate, approximately 1 day. Quality of installation, both inside and outside, was excellent.

CApollo Home
They responded quickly to my call for service. The tech quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem as a failed controller board in the air handler. That much was done well. The estimate to replace the board was about $1,100, which I felt was unreasonable. The next day their sales rep tried to sell a new furnace for about $4,500. I did a little price checking for myself, bought a new controller board locally for $200 (from the same place Apollo could have gotten it), and installed and tested it in one hour. The tech's workmanship was good, and he was polite and respectful. However I feel they were totally out of line with their pricing to replace the controller board, using that as a way to sell a new furnace. I suspect they were preying on my vulnerability in a difficult situation (it was the hottest week of the season), and they were unethical with their attempt to sell a new furnace when they could have repaired it quickly for a few hundred dollars. I would have been much more satisfied if they had done that.
