Recent Review: There was a wet spot in our front yard, about where the gray water drain line from our kitchen sink, washing machine and dishwasher should be.  A little spade work disclosed that the gray water line was not running into the leach bed as it should.  it appeared that this had been going on for years.  There was a lot of mud in that hole. Donny Owens, Jr, the owner, arrived with his crew at the agreed time.  Donny said that a load of gravel was scheduled to arrive in an hour and he didn't want to delay the gravel truck.  Therefore, the trench for the new drain pipe and the pit for the dry well had to be ready before the gravel truck arrived.  It worked out just as Donny predicted.  He was digging the pit just as the gravel arrived.  He directed the truck driver to spread about 6 tons of gravel on our parking apron to reinforce it for the heavy equipment driving over it.  He had the driver leave another 6 tons in a pile near the work site.  Donny laid a bed of gravel in the trench and the dry well.  The crew installed about 40 feet of pierced drain pipe in the trench.  Donny filled the trench with the remaining gravel and covered the trench with dirt.  He left the dirt mounded so it will end up level when the dirt settles.   The whole project took less than two hours.  Donny said the hardest part of the project was in getting to us.   We live WAY back in the woods.  At one place the grade is so steep the crew had to unload the backhoe off the trailer, drive the truck to the top  of the hill, drive the backhoe up the grade, then reload on the trailer.  Donny and his crew cleaned up the work site thoroughly.  OK, they couldn't do much about the mud.  It was a joy to watch these guys at work.  Donny is an artist with the backhoe. The crew acted like they enjoyed what they were doing.  Ducky's business card says, "We dig dirt !!!"  I think they mean it.  We will definitely call Ducky's if we need more excavation.

CGet R Done Excavating
Mr. Hall always eeded to be paid up front.  1st 2 jobs he copeted were satisfactory although not done in a timely manner.  3rd job I paid up front but he has never come back and efforts to contact him have been unsuccessful.  the phone original phone number listed on his ad is no longer working.  He did call me the end of April 2013 with a new phone number that also is not a working number.  I went to the address listed in his ad and it looks to be a private residence with no one there.  He owes me $1000. worth of work that I paid for 6 mos. ago.

AShelburne Contracting
I was extremely impressed with them. I really liked them. They did a great job. I don’t think that they could do better at anything. It was a father and son. They knew exactly what they were doing. The slope of the driveway was very tricky. They were very personable and very professional. They had great knowledge of proper excavation. The pricing was good. We would definitely use them again in the future.

The price included the excavation and hammering through several feet of rock. The cost was jacked up because of that. It was an extreme circumstance. The original quote was very good but it went up when they had to hammer through 6 feet of rock.

Owner took pictures of site, provided computer-generated overlays of projected landscaping. We approved plan, and work began within a week. Project was completed in about 4 days. Finished product turned out excellent.

AMorris Trucking & Excavating
The workers at Morris Trucking & Excavating were knowledgeable. They were amazing and awesome. They went far and beyond as far as getting the job quickly and right. The inspector was out there in a timely manner. In the process of clearing out the land, we found a small pond so he drained it and filled that in for us and didn't charge us extra.

Kyle (Owner) went above and beyond on all aspects of the project. I was a little skeptical about the project myself, but Kyle and his team eased my mind after the first day. Kyle was very safe in the tight areas I had him working in and managed his safety very professionally throughout the whole project. I would highly recommend him for any excavation project or fencing project. He also has a lot of foundation experience and will hopefully be pouring a pad for my barn when the opportunity arises.

AGOAD TRUCKING & EXCAVATING
Very good. Stopped by the site quickly following contact and walked the proposed site. Coordinated with the concrete contractors and worked with them closely through the project. Very good work. On time and on budget.

FG&N Excavating & Trucking
The work they performed was not professional nor did they try to repair their damages. They did not get back to me after I tried continuously to telephone them. I had to get a plumbing company from Owensboro, Ky to come fix the problems that G&N Excavating & Trucking caused. adding another costs of  $2300. Overall this company is someone that should be avoided  if you want the job done right the first time.

AClear view Excavating
I think very highly of this company.  I am using them for the first time.  They are easy to work with.  They work independently.  I don’t have to micromanage them to make that they are doing the job right.  They are punctual.  In a situation that I am working with, multiple people are working on the construction here.  Clear view Excavating just know when they need to be here and they just do the job on time.  I am overall very pleased with the prices.
