Recent Review: Only one word comes to mind when I look at the work Mr. Butler did and that would be "Awesome".  We had a dilapidated retaining wall and a deck that had a stair way coming from the deck over the retaining wall that was in very bad shape.  He came in and tore the existing wall, stairway and deck down.  Formed and poured a concrete patio, retaining wall and sidewalk as well as built a very nice wooden steps off the wall and a beautiful set of pyramid steps on the back patio from the house.  He also fixed the drainage issue we had behind the previous retaining wall.  He is a one man show.  He did all of this on his own, with the exception of 3 days that he had an assistant with forming up the very large retaining wall.  He rubbed the concrete out on the patio, sidewalk and wall and it looks phenomenal.  He kept us very informed of the projects progress throughout.  He assured us, he wanted nothing more than for us to be satisfied when the project was complete.  We where blown away with the work that he did.  He treated our home as if it were his own.  He cleaned everything up after it was completed and it didn't even look like it had just been a construction area.  I have had to deal with several contracted people over the years with my aging parents and with my own homes various repairs.  I would have to say without a doubt that this was by far the best experience that we have had.  Mr. Butler is a plain spoken man, very honest, and his work ethic was outstanding.  When we started this whole process, my spouse and I were not really sure which direction we wanted to go with it.  Mr. Butler had some very creative ideas and he delivered on them all.   I would recommend him to anyone having concrete work, repair, or any kind of landscaping.  You will not be disappointed.

FGlen Bennett Concrete & Excavation
The concrete started to crack in the corners within twelve hours of the pour. According to the owner, because he did not frame correctly and the pour should have been in sections. The edges around the pool were not poured correctly either. The concrete was over the edges and broke off into the pool, causing sharp concrete pieces that could have damaged the liner. There is concrete on the liner floor that can not be removed without damaging the liner. The saw cuts are cracking and breaking into more sharp pieces of concrete. The concrete is uneven to the point that the diving board can not be secured on one bolt. Water stands in spots after a rain. There are places that appear to be rust. He said they were coal within the concrete. There are spreader makes all over the concrete, smooth spots, rough spots, holes and indentions. He said the spreader marks are because the wind was blowing.  The owner's solution was to fill the saw cuts with a grey caulking, cut out the coal and fill in with grey caulk, and acid wash the concrete to hide all the perfections. The caulking is uneven and made the imperfections more noticeable. He refuses to repair his poor workmanship and is wanting money for his so-called repairs. When ask for his Certificate of Liability Insurance, he refuses to produce it and said to not contact him again.
