Recent Review: I bought the home the I now am happily moved into thanks to Landon and his service team. I called and called contractors and seemed all I ever got was the run around or that they would do one thing and not the other being picky like myself and reluctant to enter contracts I wanted to stay with one contractor through all the projects that I needed done. This involved Roofing , Siding, Windows , Doors , Electrical and Plumbing so it takes a Handyman usually to complete all of these under the same contract I called Southern Kentucky Home Pros and had the privilege of speaking to what turns out the most professional and courteous and might I mention the most prompt contractor I believe I have met. He scheduled the time to come give an estimate and was very prompt on time and courteous. I was surprised after all I have went through to get this stuff done. I accepted the terms of the contract we discussed and they begin work the following day. The work went awesome and of course I ask a lot of questions and Landon didn't seem to mind explain everything in detail of what they were doing. I am very pleased of their performance and will certainly call them back later this year to do some more projects I have in mind. This contractor is definitely Above The Rest in my opinion. Fair Prices Good Quality Work & Performance and meets the deadline.

Recent Review: Our home had hail damage from the March storm that hit our area. David Sugg, the owner of Pro Finish, was soon starting on a house at 712 Bartlett Ave (2 doors down). He stopped by to ask if we had filed an insurance claim for our damage. At that time we were unaware of any roof damage but did have hail damage on the front siding. David informed me that I did have damage and without his suggestion I probably would not have called. From the beginning I relied on David to help me with the adjustors and he did in every way possible. David was always just a phone call away if we had any questions throughout the process. The  roofers started around the first of July and did an amazing job. They are a very hard working crew that gets the job done fast with high quality work. The amazing duo of Scott & Barry came soon after and started all of the home repairs. Those 2 men are one of the reasons why we wanted Pro Finish to do our home repairs. We had seen their work on the neighbors house and were so impressed. They installed our windows, gutters ,doors, facia, replaced siding, and window shutters. They completely transformed our home. It once was a light blue cape cod with midnight blue window shutters (often referred to a smurf house) and is now a modern home with clay vinyl siding and black shutters. They difference is amazing!! It really looks like a different home. We would like to replace our front porch next year and will be using Pro Finish for that repair also. It has been 3 months and we still hear so many compliments about the looks of our home. I really can not thank pro Finish enough for the transformation of our home and am still amazed at how wonderful it looks. I definitely encourage anyone looking for high quality work to use Pro Finish for your home remodeling.

AT M Putnam Builders
June 1, 2012 I woke up to find damage from the storm. Out of 4 contractors, Mr. Putnam was the only to answer his phone or respond. I called him at 730am, he was at my house at 930am, gave me a quote by 1pm, and had repairs completed by 830am the following day. Mr. Putnam is punctual, professional, and fairly priced. I am so happy with his performance as my contractor, I have immediately contracted him to replace 2 exteriors doors and replace all roofing supports for my front porch. I have other projects that I do not have time to perform myself that I will contract him to complete.

FChampion Windows and Home Exteriors of Louisville
At first all went well. The salesman was nice and I thought we were going to get a great product. The window installation manager came to measure the windows had made a few chauvinist comments, but I let that slide and laughed them off. Then a week or so before they got started on the windows I get notice that they cannot get the shake siding that I had picked out.  I decided that I would go with a wood siding that I would have put on later by another contractor. They were to refund me the price of the shake siding which I was told it was expensive when I selected it, but it would up being only $1500. Not as expensive as I was led to believe or I wasn't refunded the full price. Then when they showed up to move the door and install the windows, they were supposed to have a contractor move the plug in the hall.  They never scheduled this and I would up having to move the plug myself (here's to hoping the house doesn't catch fire...). The installing crew was very nice. After they left I got to looking and found two major issues.  The first was the window that was put in place of the doors that we moved. It came from the "bone yard" and I was told by the salesman that it would be perfect in our older home with five foot windows. It was an awful 3 foot tall and 6 foot wide sliding window that looked like it came out of a drive up liquor store - stuck in a hole that held a set of wood French doors on the front of the house! We asked for 5 foot tall windows, not this atrocity. The second problem was another window that was mounted flush with the inside wall rather than being centered in the casing. Who mounts windows like that - I couldn't hang a blind.  I called and complained and was basically told to live with it. I had to get my husband involved and wound up paying another $700 for them to come back out and fix the mess.  The salesman knew that the drive up window from the boneyard wouldn't match the rest of the windows. It was even supposed to have grids and didn't. I feel like he was looking for someone to pawn a junk window on. Not to mention that I paid for that junk boneyard window and it was smashed when it was removed on the second go around. So I am out the cost of that window (must have been $6500 based on the cost after the shake was refunded!) plus having to pay more for more windows. And the window installation manager telling me that I should just mount blinds directly on the wall rather than they doing the job correctly and the window being centered in the casing is unacceptable! As far as the sunroom, the installation went well.  I have had to have them come out and adjust the doors so that they will lock and they need adjusting again.  I believe I may be able to do this. I have noticed that they are sweating though and there are holes drilled in the outside flashing at the bottom like it was mis-drilled and instead of getting a new piece of trim, the installer flipped it over and drilled a second set of holes for the screws. I can already see this filling up with ants and water and leading to bigger problems down the road.  I would call and complain - but why bother. After spending nearly 30 grand with these guys, you would think I wouldn't have so many problems or have to deal with their people basically telling me to live with it!
