Recent Review: We were under time pressure to get this done before closing on out house. The work they did was fine but they were very unconcerned with getting the test done. They let it run for far longer than is required resulting in the buyers having to sign off on the work before it was done. It added a lot of stress to an already stressful situation.
Recent Review: After it was done, it all looked great. I really like that it looks good, and to verify their work, I sent a radon test to two different radon measuring companies, who said the level was good, and in a healthy range. I hate to say it again, but they did a great job, and gave me a warranty for 10 years on the work. They only reason I wouldn't use them again, is because I have a warranty with them, and I wont need to use them again in the future.
Recent Review: Mr. Collins was prompt. He was very thorough and upon discovering any defects was willing to explain the pertinence of such defect. These explanations were to both my myself and to my wife after I had to leave with 20 minutes before he was done with the physical examination of the kitchen. He took the additional time to ensure that all the bases were covered. His sent his final inspection report within 2 hours of completing the inspection on the 3300 square foot house we are in the process of purchasing. The report, 48 pages, plus 4 more for the Radon report, was detailed and included numerous colored photos. A third party that was present per our request was equally impressed with his work.
Recent Review: It went excellent. Although my granddaughter knew little about Home Inspections and Radon Testing beforehand, Kerry explained exactly what he was doing and what the results meant. Not only did he provide an excellent oral explanation, Kerry's written report identified all areas, displaying pictures of such along with clear identification and problems. With his detail of the written report, you are able to go back and verify your complete understanding; his report provides a detailed checklist you can use while you have problem areas corrected. I would not hesitate to use Kerry again or refer others to use his services! His prices are most reasonable as they are in consideration of square feet being inspected.
Recent Review: I selected Advanced Radon Services, Inc. because Mr. Edwin Huff listened to my concerns the best of all firms quoted. In addition, Mr. Huff explained their system to me in detail. I had read a lot online and viewed numerous YouTube videos to have an appreciation for what Mr. Huff explained. I had purchased a continuous radon monitor. My average readings before the radon mitigation system was installed were 16.7 Pico curies. Afterwards, I’m averaging 0.40. I definitely recommend Advanced Radon Services, Inc.
Recent Review: Our 20 yr. old radon fan quit . Mr. McLaughlin , gave estimate and replaced it with a new fan. He worked in very cold weather to complete the job.He is very knowledgeable regarding every aspect of radon mitigation and patiently answered all our questions and concerns. The finished product is solid and installed as it should be. Also electrical wiring was redone to meet the current code requirement. Very pleased with the job .Would highly recommend him .
Recent Review: Everything went really well. We had 2 different companies come in to quote us for a radon mitigation system after doing a home test and finding our home had a high level of radon, and it wasn't unusual for our area. Aqua lock was very professional, showed up on time and were very helpful in answering all our questions and meeting our concerns. They guaranteed their radon test level to be below EPA standards which I thought was good. Our new system is running smoothly and quietly. Took them only a few hours to install. Overall we are very pleased.
Recent Review: Very accommodating at scheduling appointment. Showed up slighly late, but no big deal. Seemed to do a thorough job (we've not discovered any issues subsequent to the inspection). Provided an easy to understand report. Good job.

Fantastic job! I was sold before they came out, but they are quite knowledgeable and professional (you often get what you pay for from what I researched about their competition). We were buying our house, so they were very patient with us and our scheduling around other contractors. They did a suction test from one side of the basement to the other after checking the material under the basement concrete (gravel - not perfect, but good) and then recommended the perfect setup. They came back and installed a system so well that it looked like it was meant to be there - beautiful work both inside and out. The crew that came was friendly, professional and considerate, making sure to clean-up well after the work was done. Our pre-tests were done as part of the purchase and matched their later testing in the high teens and low twenties (pCi/L) and post-mitigation testing also matched (theirs and ours) at levels well under the EPA's 4 pCi/L limit. It's going on three months and our long-term average digital detector is showing only 1.5 pCi/L. I had not realized (and few others, besides Advanced Radon, seemed to think) that our area is in an EPA "red" zone on the national map and radon should be high priority issue for detection in schools and other places throughout the entire county. We'll happily see them again every 2 years for checkups. Thanks to Advanced Radon for making our home a healthier place for us, especially our children!

Great, they are very honest and quick to respond. We were selling our house to the company before a transfer and had to have a Rodin mitigation and small mold removal. I was on a time crunch and scheduled. They called when an earlier spot became available. Very professional.

I could not possibly rate Aqua Lock any higher! They were responsive from the start, very professional, and kept in touch throughout the entire process. The employees always showed up on time, and kept everything neat and clean when they left. Once the system was installed, the owner himself returned to go over the process with me and answer any of my questions. Perhaps the best part? Aqua Lock guarantees a radon reading of 2.7 pCi/L or lower, which is the World Health Organization's guide, even though most companies go by the EPA's acceptable guideline of 4.0 pCi/L. Aqua Lock reduced our radon reading from 3.7 to .5 pCi/L. We were completely impressed with this company, and would highly recommend them for all radon mitigation, basement waterproofing, and mold removal jobs!

Charles was extremely thorough, unbiased, and professional. When we arrived at the home that we were considering for purchase, he was on the roof inspecting the chimneys (the last inspector we had wouldn't even stick his head in a crawl space). Because he was willing to climb on the roof, we were made aware of the first very expensive repair needed- new flashing for the chimneys. We were also made aware that the chimney had no lining- another very expensive repair if wanting to use the chimney. He also climbed in to the attic and inspected everything there- and we were made aware of severe water damage and previous repairs made to the rafters. He checked all the electrical outlets- good thing because half of them weren't grounded and were potentially deadly. He spent 6 or more hours on the inspection, spending a good deal of time in each area of the house. He pointed out problems that we would have never known existed (like the water damage and the flashing), and because of his thoroughness, we were able to figure out the true cost of the home after all essential repairs. The radon test was well worth the money- the house had high radon, yet not high enough for the EPA to require mitigation by the sellers- but we were made aware that very expensive mitigation would be required by us to live safely in the home. The cost of $650 included the radon test, the septic dye test, and the home inspection. The home inspection itself was $375- well worth every penny, and Charles worked very hard for it. I would definitely hire Charles again if I was ever considering another home purchase. You can rest assured that the home was very thoroughly inspected after he's done.

This company does exactly what it says and the workers are so meticulous in and around the home while working. The owner Edwin Huff makes a point to ensure all of his customers are satisfied before finishing the job. It makes a difference when you deal with the owner and he truly wants to make his customers happy.
