PLEASE BE ADVISED All Weather Decks of Gardner KS run by Cass Brinkman (Ashley Brinkman) 17173 Jessica St Gardner, KS 66030 913-206-1974 913-850-3861 (Ashley Brinkman) is an untrustworthy company. They had $4500 of my money and a signed contract. They decided they had underbid the job and cancelled the agreed upon contract illegally, and wanted me to call his crew to work with them individually to finish the job, who could not get out to my house for a quote for another week. The front of my house already had half of the Stucko off of it because of some rot we had to fix. We gave them the money Sept. 17 they decided to leave me with an uncovered house on Oct 30th, right at the begining of winter. Luckily I had 4 contractors out to quote me what it would cost to finish the job. $3700 - $4300 was the quotes I was given. That would equal the quote I was given to begin with. So their statement that it would cost them more money was another lie. Ashley Brinkman was our sales person would not return my calls but he would get on the phone with my wife and make her cry. They sent my wife an email and 1 text when they decided to take the cowards way out, no personal communication with us after that at all. They did give us the stone they ordered for the front of our house, as well as the first half of the contract, however they ordered $1000 in stone that we did not even need. We will have to buy extra material to finish the job. This company is not trustworthy and left me in a very bad situation with no way out. If I had not found someone to finish the job we would have had nothing but plywood on the front of our house all winter and they could not care less. They will keep the contract as long as it is in their best interest. Forget if a contract is a legal binding agreement. Also I did not notice until now but their contracts do not have their address on them they list a P.O. Box All Weather Services, INC. All Weather Decks P.O. Box 187 Gardner, KS 66030 913-206-1974 Non of this sounds like anything a reputable company would do.

We are very pleased with how our house looks - we love it!? Justin was extremely professional and very committed to ensuring the job was finished with high quality results.? After the stone veneer was placed, we found the color wasn't what we expected.? Justin worked to ensure we had a resolution to the problem that worked for both sides and we absolutely love the results.

Signed contract with them but had a terrible time communicating regarding design. Many 'misunderstandings' and lots of confusion surrounded the project. Most times that I tried calling, there was a distraction in the background or some emergency that they had to deal with. Their attention seemed to always be elsewhere. Very unclear and unprofessional when it came to the contract. I asked multiple times to receive a formal invoice and not until the final payment did I receive one. They did not invest anything into the project. I had to finance the entire thing. Matt told me before work began that he would be by 'every day' to oversee things. Turns out he came by halfway through to stick a sign in our yard, then again to collect final payment. Fortunately, my job allowed me the time to essentially be the contractor and do his job for him. He subcontracted almost all of the work, which I was unaware of when signing the contract. Fortunately, the people he hired did great work. If I had known that I would be financing and overseeing the job myself, I would have hired these subcontractors myself. He made roughly $5000 on a $29000 job (17% profit) for basically giving me the phone numbers of the people who would do the work. There are many other reliable home improvement companies out there that have the capital to and the resources to do the job much better. I would not recommend them for any future projects. Too poor of communication and professionalism.

ABordner Home Improvement
The job was slow getting started because of weather, but once the weather cleared the guys were here and they stayed pretty much until the job was done [ almost 2 weeks ]. Everything looks great and we have no complaints as of this date 9/12/14. the entire job was performed with a great deal of professionalism. No one asked for money until we went thru a walk thru with the project manager. Very detail oriented. This company has it togeather all the way from the first call we made to finish. AAA

CPowell'S Siding & Windows
Windows: The windows were installed first. Removal of the old windows went quickly and so did the installation. I love the windows. Stone Veneer: Masonry work was not something this contractor usually performed, but it looks great. I'm very happy with the results. Siding: Overall, the siding looks great. There are places around the windows and door that I would have liked to look better, but was told there was no other solution. Also, on the soffit by the corner of the garage, he apparently ran out of materials and there is a patch that doesn't look good. I didn't see the patch until 2-3 days later when I was touching up paint so I have not discussed that with him. Painting: The painting was to have been done by a professional painter who worked with this contractor. I met with the painter when he did the estimate for the contractor and was left with very high expectations on this part of the project. The job would include caulking boards and knotholes where needed, and replacement of any bad wood found. I pointed out areas that I was already aware of that would need to be replaced. Sherwin Williams paint would be used and I was told this paint job should last a very long time. The painter wasn?t available when the contractor was ready to start the siding so he advised me that he would be doing the painting. I was concerned, but he assured me he could paint. I?m not happy with this paint job. Brown paint was slopped on my new white windows. I was able to touch them up by painting another level of white trim around them and covering the brown. However, there are 2 very high windows that I can?t reach and I advised the contractor that he would need to take care of those. He did not. Next, my 4 year old composite deck has brown paint on the ends every where it touched the house. The one coat of paint is thin in many places with the old color showing through. I can?t touch up because the paint formula on the paint can lid got paint on it and was unreadable. The first 5 gallon bucket of paint cannot be reproduced exactly. The overall finish is not good, nearly every brush and roller mark is visible. I expressed concerns with the paint job and he did go around and attempt to touch up areas with a brush. What needs to be done is another coat of paint and he wasn?t willing to go that far. I did not receive the professional paint job that I was expecting. While it is passable if not inspected too closely, it will need to be redone sooner than anticipated.

They came out to do the estimate as scheduled. But then it took at least three weeks for them to call back to schedule the job. The day they were to do the repair work they were over an hour late. But when they showed up, they were professional and it was obvious that they knew exactly what they were doing. The end result was that the repair job looks great and we are very happy with the work that was done.

Excellent! We contacted Mike for an estimate. He responded right away. Estimate was good (final cost was the same as the estimate). He showed up on time, kept us informed, brought us several options for door and glass styles. The day of the installation, they showed up on time and had the new framing and doors in place by that night. He came back the next day to do a minor touch up. We were very pleased with the whole experience. We now have beautiful bright white doors, lots of light with great privacy and new screen/storm doors that no longer have to be changed based on the season. We just slide the glass up and down if we want to have a breeze. Love the doors!!! The photos should show what a major difference this made--it's a little hard to see how ugly the old doors were though. Mike gave us exactly what we wanted (actually even better than I ever imagined). Would highly recommend him!!

Professional, experienced handyman service. The job went very well and I was charged fair rates on the additional time required to complete the work. Window blinds and valance rails installed professionally. I should have asked for the instructions to be kept though so that I could shorten the blinds to fit the window. I will order more blinds for some other rooms and make sure I keep a set of instructions next time! Doors trimmed to prevent sticking in door frames. Can now close doors but trimming ripped off the veneer on doors in several places (some veneer ripped off from previous trimming as well). Next time I will take Mike's advice and replace doors and frames . . . after we have fixed our sinking basement! We needed to remove sheetrock ceiling and wall panels in our basement to see structural issues, etc which were out of view. This proved to be quite a major job and I was pleased that I had called in the pros. Several electrical junction boxes were uncovered during the excavation that should not have been covered at all. Thankfully nobody electrocuted and all pipes and wires remained intact! Lighting and switches repositioned to keep the basement functional. Most of the debris was disposed of the same day. They returned to dispose of the remaining bagged debris 4 days later. I will be asking Mike to return to fit more blinds and trim another door which was missed the first time.

ACRUZ HOME REPAIR
Gabino Cruz helped me with a variety of projects on an older house in rough shape that has a lot of 'deferred maintenance'. Nevertheless, Gabino didn't hesitate to get to work with me. He installed multiple doors (interior & exterior), and did a really nice job with drywall & mudding work on two stairways in the house. He also helped me with the back porch sills and supports, In the kitchen and bathroom he installed the linoleum flooring, and he installed the waterproof sheeting (veneer) in the bathroom shower. Gabino is a great guy and really helped me out. Very trustworthey, too. I give him an "A" for the overall experience. The only reason I entered a 'B' for quality is that we were working with much of the original materials from the house. So it probably affected the end result and made it tougher than using new materials. That was my decision, not his. (I give Gabino credit for agreeing to do it that way for me). I would surely use him again on future projects and recommend him to others who are doing renovation work.
