I recently purchased an older home with a two story elevator. Soon afterwards, I could tell the cab was not staying in place and the elevator had to reposition itself about every hour. I contacted That Elevator Guy, and they came out to diagnose the issue. I was given an estimate and the valve was repaired to the estimated cost on a following appointment. During this repair, a second issue arose with the systems computer, showing an error light that was not on before. I felt That Elevator Guy, was more than fair in finding a solution and working with me to avoid extra expense. We both agreed, the oil valve would have nothing to do with the computer, so the computer was repaired at cost. There were other minor maintenance items that needed repaired, which are now completed. I can say my elevator is now working as new. That Elevator Guy is responsive, communicates well, and most of all has integrity. I enjoy working with them and glad I found a company that specializes in home elevators.

ADixon's Custom Home Solutions
They installed an elevated commode for me. They had me choose the toilet myself, and they picked it up and installed it for me.

AMr Handy Dan LLC
Had a lighting issue that needed immediate service and Dan was out within 2 hours. He brought his own tall ladder and had the issue fixed quickly. While he was here he also fixed a longtime dripping faucet!

Install ok but had to elevate to get them to come back and finish work. Brock Cross became rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend!

It was easy to get scheduled. They came and took measurements and asked me some questions. Now, I’m just waiting for them to get the finished computerized plans back to me. I was a little disappointed that they didn’t bring more samples with them, for countertops and other finishes. They did ask me about colors for that, so maybe I’ll see that when I review the plans with them.

BApex Design Build
Mr. Wilson scheduled an appointment and provided a timely estimate/proposal. After review, I accepted. Originally, Mr. Wilson advised me of a work-date, but told me that his framers were unable to meet that date, so he had the removal of the old shed done as stated. That was the last I heard from them. About a week after the tentative date of building was supposed to begin, they showed up without advance notice to build. I had specifically instructed that NO TRASH was to be placed into the empty trash cans in my back yard as my trash removal mandates use of their special containers. The staff placed significant trash into the containers. The building portion of the job was complete the same day started. It looks good! I like their workmanship. I wish there had been more communication and that staff would have obeyed my request on trash.

AMATTINGLY HOME IMPROVEMENTS
Our old home had window and door trim that had severely rotted in places over the years to the point of leaking significant water to the interior of the structure. Our home was built in 1855 and is in a downtown historic district. That means everything has to go the the Indianapolis Historic Preservation Commission (IHPC) for approval be at least their staff reviewers. I worked with Pat to ensure he understood on the front end what constraints and parameters might be involved in doing the work to IHPC's standards. When Pat and Don showed up on Monday to start the work, I left a copy of the IHPC Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) for him to read and informed him the reviewer might be out to do an early check on the work to ensure the direction of things. As expected, Pat was completely fine and competent; he ended up being able to speak with the reviewer on-site and get exacting clarity around what she expected. Pat and Don generally stuck to the schedule and informed me if there would be any deviation on times (exact scheduling wasn't a huge deal in this case). They spent great effort to ensure that only the wood needing full replacement was replaced (big deal). Otherwise, they did an excellent job... * Patching and sanding deteriorated areas * Fixing top moulding on window and door frames * Replacing flash on all frames * Repairing interior window frame/sill/sash components that had been damaged by water * Cutting out layers of old poorly executed caulk fills from previous homeowners * Caulking thoroughly where necessary * Matching our existing paint colors and painting over the repairs They even made time to do a sizeable drywall patch I'd thrown at them at the last minute. Pat never minded taking the time to review things if I stopped by to check on progress. The work was finished by the end of the week. Pat and Don are both extremely polite and easy to work with/be around. Pat's price came in on the low end of what he'd estimated and I'll say the price was extremely fair. One more example of why I'll go back to Pat in the future as a first option for general handyman services. Please note I've include pictures that represent the work when partially done so you can see the nature of the work. It looks great painted over...I've just not yet taken the time to get pics.
