Recent Review: Upon completion of demo, lead carpenter discovered bathtub had drain on the wrong side. Installation of tub was next step, so another tub was ordered and arrival expected in 3 days. Meanwhile carpenter installed floor except around perimeter of tub. Carpenter did not return next day (Friday) and did not hear from anyone, so when no one showed up Monday am, called lead carpenter, went straight to voicemail. Called Curt, went straight to voicemail. Received a call about a half hour later from project manager, who apologized but said tub was still in limbo. He ultimately solved the problem the following day by locating one in East Moline, IL and driving there himself to pick it up. At that point received a call from Curt apologizing for the situation and offering to make it up to us with a gift card to a restaurant or cleaning service. The rest of the process went smoothly, carpentry, plumbing, finishes are all excellent. Final install was curtain rod and carpenter suggested we wait for one that didn't require drilling into the marble panel surround, so we asked him to order a different one and it was installed the following week. We are very pleased with the result.

No complaint with the work.  Very professional, pleasant, skilled.  I made the error of not asking for a quote ahead of time and was taken off guard by the combination of service call and minimum one hour labor charge for something that  literally took well under 30 minutes.  [sadly, after the fact I find that there is a coupon for Angie's list subscribers - but that's my fault, not the provider.] Just make sure you are aware of this minimum ahead of time.  I cannot recommend for very small jobs like mine, but believe you will receive excellent service and a reasonable competitive cost on larger jobs.

Very well. Our house and toilets are very old - circa 1906 - but we love them. When two of them stopped functioning we called steve ray plumbing and they came within the hour. The plumber was both professional and personable. He told us that he didn't have any mechanicals on his truck that were compatable with our toilets, so he called around until he found a supply house that had the right mechanicals. He then left to pick them up. He made the appropriate installations and did not charge us for the time he took to go pick up the right hardware. Their business card is the only plumber on our cork board of reliable service firms and their phone number is on my i-phone under "plumber'. HIGHLY recommend!

FEasterday Plumbing
The best advice I can give on this plumber is run and call another one. Had water around our toilet so obviously toilet has a leak. We call Easterday who comes out and says it's the wax ring which they replace for $185. Toilet still leaking after this so Easterday comes back out the next day and again they say wax ring so they reset it and leave. Toilet still leaking after this 2nd time they work on it so they come out for the 3rd day in a row and tell my wife they don't know what the problem is and the whole toilet just needs replaced which they could do for $495 or $545 depending on which toilet height we choose. Thankfully my wife didn't tell them to do it and conferred with me first. I get home that night and for the first time I actually look around the toilet and I can plainly see it's leaking around one of the tank bolts so I go to Lowes's, buy new rubber washers, put them on and toilet hasn't leaked in almost 3 days. Easterday plumbing called me back this morning to check on the whether I want them to install the new toilet. I talk to the owner Ken and he just says they are not perfect and acts shocked that I'm even remotely unhappy with them. I asked him wouldn't you be unhappy if you hired a plumber and paid him $185 to fix a toilet and after 3 times of the plumber working on it it's still leaking and then he wanted to charge you another $495 for a new toilet when you went and fixed it yourself for under six dollars? He never once offered to refund even a portion of the money that they charged me after they missed an obvious leak three times in a row. The best advice I can give on this plumber is run and call another one.

ASunrise Construction & Design
As you can tell by the amount of return visits they have performed at my house I would still continue to use them over and over again. Their entire crew was incredibly professional and courteous. His prices were very coemptive. They completed the job in a very timely manner and the crew was always punctual. I would highly recommend this company for any construction needs you might have.

DRoto Rooter
A few days ago, I noticed that sewage had once again backed into the walk-in shower. I flushed the toilet and it overflowed onto the floor. The drain in the family room also overflowed and a large area of carpet was super-saturated with waste water----just like it was before Roto-Rooter came out the 1st time. I called and asked for them to flush the sewer lines in the downstairs bathroom. When he arrived he had not been given those instructions. He did flush the system outside the house, and said he would come back and check the sewer pipe to the toilet if we would remove the toilet. We did that, but he could not come back that same day. He came back today (Sunday) and flushed the sewer pipe in the bathroom. He said there is still a problem and the camera needs to be done again and that after we install a new toilet, we should call again if the problem has still not been corrected. The initial fee was $340. When the trench had to be dug, we were told the $340 would be deducted from the $3000 charge. The bill was not itemized and the total exceeded $3000. We were told that the parts cost more than expected because something wasn't measured correctly. We are now told that we have 25 years of free service! There is a definite communication barrier with Roto Rooter. I was told that the phone calls are answered from many different places and communication problems are frequent.  Our first call to Roto Rooter was on December 7, 2013. The sewer line was finally corrected after a line was run to the main and a new connection done at the main line. We also had a back flow prevention valve placed. Sewer functioned well on 2-14-14. The trench was not closed properly for several months. It sank several times. Topsoil was delivered and spread on 6-17-14. We paid to have sod put down on 6-27-14. On 7-3-14 the village finally put asphalt in the area that had been dug up in Feb. It is so nice to not hear the thumping as cars drove over that area for months. It is FINALLY smooth, and I have a lawn and flowers growing again in my front yard. After we get an itemized bill from Roto Rooter we will make the final payment to them. The job cost exceeded $9,000.00 and too many frustrations to mention. No one should have to endure so many delays to get a job completed. Dec. 7---July 3 is very close to 7 months of frustration. We are grateful everything has worked well with the sewer since Feb. but it should not have taken so long to properly close the trench in the yard and the road.
