Yard Heating & Cooling
Recent Review: George Yard came out and gave us a very competitve quote. He was very nice and walked us through how the system worked and answered all our questions. Furthermore, he customized options to meet our needs with little or no change in the original quote. Also, we had to meet time dealines to receive incentives and he made sure we met them. He's been out a couple times since installation to review his employees work, to make sure it was set up properly, and answer questions we had. Geothermal is new to us so we bombarded him with questions, which he had no problems with. His employees are great; they are reliable and know what they're doing. I highy reccomend this business.

Town & Country Services
Recent Review: I called on a Saturday for an estimate and had Jason show up in a hour to take a look at the work I needed. We discussed what I wanted done. I received an estimate in about 3 days time. It was to my satisfaction, so I scheduled the work. On the appointed day within 30 minutes of the time we agreed up, 3 men (Jason, Matt and Tommy) showed up to do the work. It was a difficult project because the space where the boiler could go was very limited. Each man took a different task. In about 8 hours the boiler was installed, but not ready to run since there was a bit more work to do, so they came back the next day to finish it off and test the system. Everything seemed to work as expected except the pressure in the boiler was too high. The solution was to add an expansion tank which cured the problem. After purging the system of air, things began to work just fine and the new boiler was doing its job. They cleaned up after themselves and left the area clean. I am very happy with the work performed, and would recommend them to anybody.

Fowler Heating & Cooling
Recent Review: Issues during and subsequent to the installation: 1. The drilling work was subcontracted, The drilling was conducted during a period when I was not home to observe. That was not an issue.  However, upon return a week later, I found a large area of drilling residue on the grass.  It had dried to a concrete like layer between 1/4" and 1/2" thick.  It covered an area twenty to forty feet in diameter around each hole. A trench was later dug to connect the drilled holes.  When that trench was refilled much of dried residue was scraped into the trench. 2. A trench was dug to install the refrigerant lines between the drilled holes and house. Refrigerant lines were installed, and the trench refilled. The fill overflowed one to two feet higher than the original surface of the lawn. I was told this was to be expected, that the fill would settle to ground level.  The summer has been very dry.  With hand watering the fill has settled about 50% in 6 months but certainly not enough to allow replanting of the grass. 3. The trench was hand dug under the foundation to allow connecting the geothermal refrigerant lines to the geothermal unit. Before refilling I asked that additional effort be made to waterproof the under-foundation trenched area.  Three months later, after a very heavy rain, standing water appeared in the crawl space. I was hoping this issue would be resolved when the trench fill has fully settled.  I have not yet asked for assistance.   I have been very impressed by the professionalism of Fowler Heating and Cooling.  This includes all workers, and the sales staff personnel. Prior to, during installation, and in follow-up service to this new geothermal heating and cooling system they have been excellent. That is not to say there were no installation or service problems, but those that have occurred have been very professionally handled.

LD Mechanical Contractors, Inc
Recent Review: All went well as all experiences w/ LD Mechanical have. We purchased our home a little over 5 yrs. ago and have utilized the services of LD Mechanical ever since. Our home is 15 yrs. old and was originally built w/ geothermal which we've kept (it's wonderful). LD Mechanical was the initial installer of the system. The only thing that went wrong w/ our most recent experience is that one of the parts they received from their supplier was incorrect which somewhat delayed the work; however we do NOT blame LD Mechanical for this. They assured the correct part was expedited and scheduled the work for asap upon receipt.

FRIGHTNOWAR HVAC
The first year I called and complained that the system wasn?t working right. He came back and recharged the system about three times. The second and third year, I called expressing that I thought there was a leak in the system to which he said there was no way. He said it must have been an expansion and contraction of the pipes that is solved by re-charging the system. He sent out his son to recharge it and that didn?t work. When I called and complained again, they sent the owners son out to replace the thermostat, they thought this would solve the problem. It did not. Then in March, the brother (who took over the services) came out and replaced the coil when he found a leak. This solved the leak but it still wasn?t working right. When I told him what was happening they said it wasn?t possible and said they would come out, which they never did. I contacted them three times with no response. I ended up called a different company to come check it out who told me that there was some shorts in the wire for the thermostat and said that there was lousy installation and service. The system works great now! He also told us that there was a 10 year warranty on the system. We found out from the manufacturer that it was actually only for 1 year and we would have to pay more for a 10 year.
