Recent Review: My wife and I were very pleased with the work that In Town Electric performed. They were on-time (actually 15 minutes early), efficient, took care of our home (used footies, cleaned up mess, etc.) and were extremely pleasant to deal with. Our guy Nick took the time to explain what he was going to do before he did it for each of the jobs we had for him, and he was easygoing and adapted to issues that we had with our older home (not the company's fault). We felt the pricing was good and fair. Great job guys!

AJeff Johnson Roofing
We called Jeff out during the winter when we thought we had a leak in the roof, there was no leak in the roof, but the chimney flue pipe needed to be replaced which caused the leak. The chimney flue and the bath fans were causing too much condensation in the attic, and we found out that the soffits did not have holes in them to help with the ventilation. Jeff suggested that we install a fan, and cut holes where the soffit holes were, and to install roof exhaust fans for the bathrooms. We were unable to do it in the middle of winter due to the snow on the roof. We called Jeff when the weather turned warm, he promptly scheduled a day to come out that fit into our schedule. He was supposed to have a couple helpers, but unfortunately they were not able to come out. That being said, Jeff ended up charging us less than he had quoted since he didn't have the additional labor even though it ended up taking him that much longer to do it on his own. Additionally, he didn't even charge us extra for removing an old antennae from the roof, sealing off the holes and re-nailing a couple pieces of gutter flashing that had fallen off during a storm. I felt that Jeff was very fair and honest with the work that needed to be done, especially compared to some other companies we had quoted. We will definitely be using him to replace our roof. Thanks Jeff!

AAdams Electrical Services
He called to say he was running very late and came a few hours later. I was glad he called and it didn't matter to me since I didn't have any other obligations. He covered the area around the fan and removed the old one and installed the new one. He asked for a broom and dust pan and cleaned up nicely when he was finished. He also suggested I wash my towels in case any dust had gotten on them. I was pleased with his work and cleanliness.

DKINSLOW SMITH INC
I called to schedule an appointment and specifically stated the work I needed done, including installing new light fixtures in bathroom, installing bath exhaust fan, replacing fan switch, and replacing smoke detector. The technician they sent was inexperienced, and he did not feel comfortable installing new light fixtures in bathroom or installing bath exhaust fan. In the end, he only did part of the work, and it took him twice the amount of time allotted-- I was required to pay for the extra time. I was really surprised that he couldn't even install a smoke detector properly. It was going off for two days (and nights) before the owner of the company was able to stop by to fix it (it took him less than 10 minutes). When the owner came, I explained what had happened and the owner promised to send a more experienced technician to finish the job (i.e., install the new light fixtures in the bathroom and the new bath exhaust fan), but I have attempted to schedule a followup appointment now for more than a month. I have tried to be patient and postpone writing a review until the service was completed, but I have called the central office repeatedly and texted the owner directly, and each time I call, they give me the run around. It appears they never had any intention of finishing the job. In conclusion: I have been very disappointed with Kinslow & Smith, and would not recommend.

Robert was great to work with. He is very punctual and professional. His estimate was incredibly fair and he even pointed out work that I could easily do on my own and gave me tips and recommendations on how to do it properly. He and his crew arrived on time on a wet Friday morning and they took exceptional care to ensure that my floors did not get messy. He estimated the work would take 4-5 hours and he was spot on. The crew was highly professional and did a great job and did not leave any mess behind. The finished products look and work great and have made my home comfortable again. I would not hesitate to call Robert should I need such services again. I highly recommend Attic Air.

Handyman Pros saved the day! We had a bit of an emergency — we had taken down an old bathroom fan and tried to replace it with a new one, but it was beyond our DIY expertise. We had company arriving and a hole in our bathroom ceiling. I tried calling several electricians, but none were available. I then stumbled upon Hanyman Pros in Angie’s List. When I called, I spoke with Donna, who was SO helpful and kept calling different people until she found one that could come out the next morning (which was a Saturday). Ken came out on time, scoped out what needed to be done, went to the nearest hardware store for parts we needed, and finished the job perfectly. I will definitely be calling them again!

ANorth Shore Electric
As the job was going to be fairly straight forward, we had them come out on a time and materials basis. Of course, nothing is really straight forward with a 100 year old house. Tech was not able to access the attic to install fan in recommended manner, so was forced to install from below. Needless to say, working in an attic space in 90 degrees was no fun. Was unable to complete job in one visit, so cleaned up well and promised to return in a few days so job would be completed befire guests arrived. Returned when promised, and quickly completed job. So far, everything is working great. Tech was friendly and passed on knowledgable advice as he worked.

Great, three guys, job done in less than hour. Wore booties to protect floor. Fan installed, new light switch & no mess to new paint job in bathroom. Called for service, came out the next morning.
