Recent Review: I just purchased a 4200 sq ft home in the west suburbs of Chicago and decided to rip out the current carpet in the house except the bedrooms. Vasi installed floors in approximately 1,950 sq ft of area. This included Foyer, Living Room, Dining Room, Family Room, Upstairs Loft area and Upstairs hallway. We also wanted new tiles by the main door and by the garage door. The tile jobs were very small. We wanted the rustic look, however with the amount of wood needed for this job, we wanted to be price conscious as well. Vasi recommended using unfinished Oak flooring for the job. He showed me sample pictures of the floors online. My wife and really like the pictures and decided to proceed with the job. We had a few questions along the way and Vasi answered every question with a smile. He is very patient and works late if necessary to complete the job. We are very happy with the floors and they look awesome. I would highly recommend him for any type of hardwood floor job. He is very meticulous and knows how to install and work with wood very well.

Recent Review: Marian did an excellent job refinishing our bamboo floors.  We had some water damage and contemplated replacing the entire floor but Marian suggested we refinish it which saved us about $10k and it came out great.  They even moved our furniture into one room and then back in place after they were done so we saved some money on movers.  I would definitely use them again for a similar project.

Recent Review: As I had used Vasile when I was an apartment owner, I already was very comfortable using him. Switching me from Polyurethane to Synteko (a water-based floor covering that lasted much longer than Polyurethane on renter tested floors) was well appreciated. Anyway, his crew added a Synteko coat to the recently done Polyurethaned floors before I moved in. This went smoothly. In the basement, I told him what I wanted, a wood floor in the front 2/3, and he recommended a floating engineered wood floor, with baseboard. As I am a practical environmentalist, I inquired about bamboo. He told me how it is softer than the white oak he was suggesting, and he recommended the oak, especially as I wanted it for dancing. Through my own research, I found out Moso bamboo, the most common lowlands bamboo ,is a softer wood, while woven strand, or upper highands bamboo, is harder. The latter are more expensive than the basic Moso bamboo and the white oak. The Swedish flooring company only harvested sustainably and had very green credentials, so I went with them. The engineered wood flooring can also be sanded three times, a benefit over a floating laminate floor This job took around a week, and the tile work around the laundry area was another day.

Recent Review: Beautiful product, good prices. Only issue was a delay in shipping of several weeks due to inventory. This delay caused issues with scheduling on a whole-house renovation and it would have been quite useful to know about upfront, rather than having to call them repeatedly for updates. When the flooring finally arrived, weeks late, it was beautiful and in very good shape. I would use them again, but I would order much earlier than needed to allow for any delays.

Recent Review: I clicked on two deals from two different companies offered through Angie's List for floor refinishing. Never heard from one of the companies, but World Flooring contacted me within a half hour. The man said he'd be in the area in a couple hours anyway and could stop by and give a quote. He had to add some money for replacing part of the floor that had a stain seep too deep, but had his people out at our house at 8 AM the next morning and they were done by 5. Very punctual, the floor looks amazing, and they even texted me pictures of the results as they were leaving the job! Great experience. Would absolutely hire them again and recommend!

Recent Review: Initial install went well, but I was concerned about the fact that they had to borrow bricks from our back yard to hold down the transition strips between the bamboo and our ceramic tile floor. Months later, when those strips started coming loose, we had to call Steven back. Well, the job was finished and paid for complete, so Steven had no sense of urgency to fix our problem. When he did, those initial installers were back, borrowing bricks AGAIN. Months later, those strips came loose AGAIN. Back came the installers and guess what, they needed our bricks again to hold down the strips while the glue dried. If you want a PROFESSIONAL installation, find someone else. Oh yeah, guess what, those infamous transition strips have come loose AGAIN! I am a very handy guy and will fix them myself this time.

Reviews in Morton Grove to Install Bamboo Flooring

The salesmen in Bensenville were very helpful. The two people who came to install were very good, helpful, professional, and prompt. The store was more difficult to contact but the installers were very responsive.

It went very well. There were surprises. The workers discovered that our sub-floor was partially rotten (we live in an older home). They had the wood on hand to install it and so were able to meet the deadline they promised.

The installers were great, as was Nick with Landmark....until the kitchen floor started spitting. We called soon after and Landmark sent the installer to fix. That worked for a few months and the splits came back. Called again and LM came again to fix. The split a third time and this time I told Nick I want a new floor. This is where it went bad. Nick contacted CFS, the floor importer, in Georgia. We went back and forth from November of 2014 to March 2015. Finally sent a complaint to Illinois States Attorney office and when I got a response I was told by ISA that Nick had SIDED WITH THE FLOOR COMPANY AND THREW US UNDER THE BUS!  They both said our house was too dry?! We have the largest residential humidifier on the market. It pumps out heated water into the ducts. We live in Chicago where we KNOW the summers are unbearably humid. But still, our house must be too dry. And yet, only the kitchen floor is split. The office floor is fine.  Nick and Landmark, left us with a bad floor and took our money and walked away smiling. Now I have to figure out if it is worth my time and money to sue. Update....Landmark NEVER went to bat for us. I was in contact with the flooring importer CFS in Ga. There I was told that Langmark agreed with THEM and said my house was too dry and Landmark has stopped replying to my calls and texts and emails eve when I show them what CFS Flooring has told me. I have ALL my contacts with Landmark and CFS and texts where we were told they HAD MY REPLACEMENT FLOOR AT THEIR WAREHOUSE and were only looking for when they could install it.

I was in the process of purchasing a new house. Mike agreed to meet me at the house prior to closing, and took down all of the measurements. I was mailed carpet samples after visiting the store and prior to our appointment at my new place. Mike also brought samples of the bamboo flooring so I could see them in my new house. After taking all of the measurements,  Mike sent me an estimate as well as an estimated date for doing the work. I was under a time crunch, because I was closing on Tuesday and had movers coming on Saturday. Mike assured me that it would not be a problem, and he was right. He had crews in on Thursday, and they completed the job that day. The floors look great, and everything was completed on time and on budget. Mike even upgraded the carpet at no charge. I will definitely contact Mike and Carpet Central again if I need additional flooring.

Very polite, professional and had speedy service. When the president of the company comes to your home to sign you up and answers all your questions promptly, that says a lot. The 2-man work crew was prompt, courteous and left the job site clean. My floor is gorgeous.

Flooring was ordered and delivered, needed to be in the environment for 10 days prior to installing. They arrived on time did a very good job of installing. They cleaned up the work area constantly and after completion.

Mike Necs was responsive and helpful from Day 1. He inspected my condo, asked a few questions, and quickly prepared an estimate (including materials and labor). He was incredibly professional and was willing to work around my schedule. His estimate was considerably lower than those provided by bigger flooring companies and all of the reviews about Nex were so positive that I chose them. Mike and his team did a terrific job on my floors. They matched the bamboo perfectly (and Mike brought me several samples so that I could be sure that I would like what he selected) with the existing flooring. They installed the flooring in 6 days and it looks beautiful. They also left the place in great condition.... My painters were coming the next day so Mike and his crew cleaned up all of the dust and left it ready for painting. All in all, I would highly recommend Nex Flooring. They were talented, hard-working, reasonably priced, and very professional. Two thumbs up.

The crew was willing to come back twice throughout the project. They came out the first time to pull up the tile and sub-flooring. Then about three months later after some other renovation work was completed they came back out to lay the bamboo flooring. I was very glad that they were willing to work with us on the schedule. The floors turned out beautiful. The only problem that we had was when they were finished they did not clean the floors or wipe them down, overall we have been very pleased with the work that Mr. Bamboo did.

Went well except one of the installers tracked glue on part of the floor which could not be removed. The floor was replaced.
