Recent Review: They did a great job! I was planning on pulling out the tub and shower and replacing the vanity tops because the finishes were dull and stained. I was having a problem finding replacements due to the weird sizes we have and I decided to get a price to refinish them since they were no structual damage. I went to Angie's List and started calling around. I chose Beautiful Finishes because of the wonderful person they have covering the phones. She was very informative, pleasant, and seemed more interested in that I understood the process instead of making the sale. Many companies forget how important that first phone call is! Each shower and tub surround was $400 each and the 60 inch single vanity sink was $125 each. It would cost me at least $5,000 replace the items (removal, installation, and parts) and a lot of time so I decided to spend the grand and in the worst case replace the items in the next couple of years if it didn't work out. It took a day to complete the work and you can't use the items for at least 24 hours to insure that they dry properly. They did let me know about the odor from the paint but it was not as bad as they lead me to believe (of course this is subjective - If your sensitive to paint smells it lasts about a day). They came out better then new and the wife is impressed with my handyman knowledge once again! The other thing I would suggest you replace all your faucets with new ones since they will be taken off the old ones anyway.

They were very responsive to the first call and came out that day for an estimate. However, they were very slow in scheduling the work, approximately three weeks after the estimate. I know it wasn't a big job, but they could have been more open about how long it was going to be. However, the price was decent ($110/hour), the plumber was professional, and the job was done well, at the price of the estimate. In fact, installing the drain was a bigger project than they expected, but did not charge extra for a required trip back to the shop. I would use them again, but be prepared for a little wait.

SALESPERSON TOOK 3 DAYS TO RETURN A CALL. THEY USED HIGH-PRESSURE SALES TACTICS THAT WERE OFF-PUTTING. OVER PROMISED, SUCH AS ''WE CAN DO IT IN ONE DAY''. INSTALLATION SCHEDULER WAS VERY MAD THAT I APPLIED FOR A CITY PERMIT (REQUIRED IN MY TOWN) AND COMMENTED ''NEVER GET A PERMIT, IT CAUSES NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS''. COMPANY APPEARS TO HAVE NO PLUMBING LICENSE, SINCE AFTER I GOT THE PERMIT, THEY HAD TO FIND A LICENSED PLUMBER, (NOT PREVIOUSLY ASSOCIATED WITH THEIR COMPANY), TO INSTALL THE NEW VALVE. BOY AM I GLAD I GOT A PERMIT. I GOT THE IMPRESSION I WAS BEING LIED TO AS TO WHY IT TOOK SO LONG TO SCHEDULE (6 WEEKS). THE PLUMBING WAS DONE IN ONE DAY, THE REST WAS DONE ONE WEEK LATER. MEANWHILE, SHOWER/TUB UNUSABLE. INSTALLER WHO GLUED THE FIBERGLASS PANELS TO WALL CLEANED UP AFTER HIMSELF AND WAS COURTEOUS. THE WORK DID GET DONE AND I AM SATISFIED WITH IT NOW THAT IT IS OVER, BUT I WOULD NOT HIRE THEM AGAIN DUE TO OVER-HYPE, SALES EXPERIENCE AND APPARENT LACK OF PLUMBING LICENSE.

Tom worked with our schedule to begin the work. The process only takes a few hours but it needs 2 to 3 days to cure. We are very happy with the way the tub turned out. We have some issues with the caulking applied not staying on. He did come back once to recaulk, but the same peeling occurred. We already had a fiberglass shower surround, so i am not sure if the caulking doesn't adhere nicely to that product and is causing the caulk to pull away, or if the caulk needs more than 24 hrs to set.

Terrible, they were hired to fix a crack in our fiberglass shower base. Due to long lead times to custom order another fiberglass base they asked us if we wanted it tile instead. In order for us to sell our home the inspector for our buyers pointed out they did not account for the pitch in the shower base to get the water to flow towards the center, hence a defect in their work. They came back out and did a sloppy job fixing their original work. The tile work is all crooked and the shower base has its own topography with an unconfortable base to stand and shower on. They refuse to refund our money for the original work and we are looking to pursue legal action against them.

Peter is a true professional! He ran into a lot of unexpected issues with the wall stucture when the old shower was removed which greatly increased the amount of time needed to prep the area for the new shower but he did not increase the cost. The new shower looks great and the few extra inches he was able to accommodate make a huge difference. I would not hesitate to recommend Bathroom Works!

Excellent! Careful discussion of the project before the estimate. After acceptance of the job, we met to discuss what would be needed to buy and timing. Another contractor had told me the the old fiberglass stall area was a nonstandard size and that the shower pan would have to be a custom-job. Not so, an unusual size but available. All my concerns were addressed. Work started promptly and was finished ahead of schedule. All debris was removed carefully and carpets protected. Though it wasn't specified in the contract they also installed a shower curtain rod and the vanity sink without additional charge.

Extremely happy with the Haris Inc's work remodeling our basement bathroom. As a result of having to tear out walls and floors for foundation work, we had the opportunity to make improvements to a basement that is a critical living space in our small house. The project involved replacing an ancient fiberglass shower stall with a new fangled solid surface manufactured stone unit, replacing tile, lighting, and paint in a small bathroom and replaced tile in a main laundry area. As is often the case with older homes (50's) the Haris crew ran into unexpected surprises that were covered up by previous homeowners. While expanding the shower to accommodate a standard 36" base Haris had to break concrete to move the drain, remove and relocate corroded iron pipe. They were also faced with significant floor pitch throughout the basement that was masked by old tile with tons of thin-set. The project lead presented us with creative options before taking any steps that added to the cost of the project. Importantly, the crew was extremely tidy and well aware that their work would be messy. Each day they laid out and picked up drop cloths, vacuumed (often while sanding or cutting) and stored their equipment to minimize the impact on our daily living.

AArlington Porcelain Refinishing
THE SERVICEMAN WAS EARLY BUT NOTIFIED ME OF SUCH. HE WAS POLITE AND FOCUSED ON HIS WORK. THE REPAIR WAS WELL DONE AND DID NOT LOOK LIKE AN OBVIOUS REPAIR. I HAVE NOTHING TO COMPARE THE PRICE BECAUSE ALL THE OTHER COMPANIES I CONTACTED DID NOT MAKE THIS KIND OF REPAIR AND I HAVE NEVER HAD ANYTHING LIKE THIS DONE BEFORE. HOWEVER, IT WAS WORTH THE MONEY TO ME TO HAVE THE TUB REPAIRED RATHER THAN REPLACED.

The original bronze drain "basket" for a fiberglass shower stall connecting the drain to the copper pipe beneath had completely fractured, dumping virtually all drain water into the utility room below, probably aggravated by 25 years of using harsh corrosive products to clean the shower. "Joe," the business owner, responded promptly to cut out the old corroded "basket" and replace it with a more state-of-the-art PVC basket that will be impervious to such chemicals. Joe does meticulous work and is very deliberately respectful of property; for example, by donning fabric "booties" to protect interior carpeting and by taking care to place heavy tools down carefully on padded surfaces to avoid collateral damage. When the initial installation appeared to leak slightly, Joe reseated the drain and "stress-tested" it under pressure with his weight applied at the top until it was clear that we had a perfectly sealed drain. I have since been delighted with the result and recommend him highly for plumbing services.

On time, as agreed upon. Because I don't live in this property, I'm out of state and on the road frequently, I did nearly all of my communication with Refinishing Plus via email and on the day of, with text messages. They did a very nice job and I would hire them again. The only "bump" was totally my fault. I had removed the fixtures and purchased replacements. I did NOT dry fit them before the refinish. Afterward, I discovered that I had to sweat a new pipe onto the existing tub spout and it was very close to my newly refinished surface. Fortunately, we were able to shield the heat from the tub and get it done. Otherwise, I would have had to call them back to fix my blunder. Make sure you dry fit your new parts BEFORE they refinish in case you need to make adjustments.
