Recent Review: The service was okay. The install took a little time. I felt that what was advertised, and what I received wasn’t  exactly what I ordered. I think I should’ve been given the choice if I wanted that product, or if I wanted something different. They workers were professional, and they worked as long as they could to finish the job. I would recommend them to others

Recent Review: I was searching for a cheaper alternative to home security monitoring. My family and I are on a tight budget, and we could not afford the steep charges from Suddenlink and other local home security providers for their systems. The two things causing the services to be so expensive were: (a) the cost of the monthly phone service we would need, since we don't have home phone service, and (b) the cost of the monitoring itself. We would had to pay about $80 a month, or more with these traditional companies! Thankfully I found NextAlarm after some careful googling. They are a fraction of the price of any of their competitors. Their system appeals to me, because it uses the internet rather than a phone line, saving lots of money. Their monitoring itself (done in the traditional way, with real people in a dispatch office) is also substantially cheaper on top of that. I paid $250 for the home security kit and now I only pay $13.50 per month for the monitoring! Its so cheap that the costs are literally offset entirely by the savings to my homeowner's insurance premium. The support staff at NextAlarm are great. They are so patient, and they will help you with anything related to your system. I have called them numerous times with little questions about this or that, and they are always super nice and knowledgable. They even walk you through how to make changes to your security system, step-by-step, when you want to change delay or change the programs. Please make note of the fact that they do not have a local installer to do the installation. The third-party vendor who offers an and quot;Instal cardand quot; will not be able to install your service in East Texas (they will refund your money once they see where you need the installation). Point being, you will need to hire a local handyman to install the home security system for you. As I already mentioned, I used Stephan du Toit -- (www.facebook.com/professionalhandymanservices). He charged my $60. Besides that little hiccup, NextAlarm is amazing. In summary, I love my service. I hope more people in my area sign up with them. It is such a great deal and they're so great!

Recent Review: Everything went great. I got the system a few days later and started to install it. All the devices were easy to put up all told it took about 45 minutes to get up and running. During the install I set the alarm off and Getsafe called me right away. I like the way it looks in my home and by that I mean I hardly notice it is there. I like being able to control the system from my phone and being able to check on my house with the camera when I am away.

Recent Review: The master panel for the alarm system turned out to be very old and the technician was unable to get it functioning again. The tech was very knowledgeable and quite thorough in exploring all options to get the system working, but ultimately was unsuccessful due to no fault on his part. After determining the existing system could not be reactivated, Certified Security provided me several options to update the equipment and activate the system. They made every effort to find something that would work for me. Overall I was very impressed with their customer service and would recommend them to others.

Recent Review: It started with the name Pinnacle. It started going downhill maybe when somebody else bought it. My husband picked them. He had a cold call and then he went with it. I think we had another system at that time.

I shopped several of the recommended security system companies online, and on Angie's List.  While I found much of the equipment to be similar (especially between SafeMart and FrontPoint), and prices to also be comparable, I found I had much better communication experience with SafeMart.  I was unimpressed with the person at FrontPoint that provided their initial information, answers  to my questions, and quote - while the SafeMart representative was eager to answer my questions, and did so much more pleasantly. I selected a fairly large assortment of devices, and prepaid for the year (which gave me 3 months monitoring for free).  They shipped everything promptly, the instructions on use and installation were easy to read and follow and were self explanatory, and I was able to mount all the devices without difficulty.  NOTE:  I've seen several negative reviews stating that people were disappointed that no one came out to install the system.  This is a DO IT YOURSELF system, where YOU decide what you want and YOU place everything where you want, and they monitor your house remotely.    All e-mails and calls to and from them have been very prompt and very friendly.  They guy that called me to do the final set up could have used a couple cups of coffee before he called, but he was pleasant and helpful.  A few nights ago my alarm went off in the middle of the night.  One of my sensors had fallen off the wall and it tripped the alarm (I had wondered if it was going to stay where I had put it - my fault, not the device).  SafeMart called me almost immediately to see if everything was OK. After over a week, I would say I am pleased.  My only complaint, which is minor, is that the phone app doesn't always accurately reflect the status of the alarm.  If I set the alarm with my phone, and later disarm from the panel, the phone usually still shows that the system is armed unless you hit the "refresh" button on the activate/ deactivate screen.  My wife's phone might show that the panel is armed, and mine will show that it's disarmed.  Until you "refresh" it often just shows what action you last took with the phone.

When Brian Morgan came to look at the house and set up a quote, I was most impressed with his approach. He outlined what was needed and did not pad on additional services. While I had the option to add hardware, I was really impressed with the fact that he did not push anything. He was honest and answered all my questions. They installed the system in one day and it has worked extremely well. The installer was very good at explaining what needs to be done and listened to what I felt I needed. For example, I wanted the motion detector activated downstairs along with the door units and he set it up for me. I have accidently set it off several times, and the individuals who called were very polite and pleasant. I would highly recommend this service.

This time the technician showed up on the scheduled day, on time. I was told that I was responsible for covering the furniture and floor to protect from debris falling from ceiling. When everything was in place, he began work. When he completed the install of the fan, we did not have the battery for the remote. We were unable to check the speed of the fan until we obtained a battery. Technician left and we had to clean up the mess, which I believe was their responsibility not mine. After we got the battery installed, we had trouble with the fan speed. We contacted the manufacturer who walked me through the troubleshooting steps. The first thing that was noticed, is that the remote on the wall was UPSIDE DOWN. My husband had to remove the switch plate and turn the switch around. Not a very professional job.

We initially had an ADT certified person come out, but he was a weirdo.  After talking with our neighbors (who have ADT), we called ADT directly to have someone come out to give us a quote. The salesman gave us realistic advice and his quote was straight-forward.  We scheduled our installation and the technician was prompt.  Our installation on three doors, one window, and with two motion detectors took about five hours. The technician was a licensed electrician, very nice to my kids and dog, and patiently answered all my questions while he was doing the installation.

Without doubt, the worst company I have ever dealt with. Even when you cancel in writing with a letter sent by certified mail, they keep on billing. Look on the internet to see numerous similar complaints. Once they have you checking account number they own you.

Easy to install, and wireless -- so lines can't be cut, and I can control it with my phone from anywhere. Monthly service is a little expensive at $43, but I feel more secure having this system.

I initially began talking with the owner, Dan, before Christmas to get the installation scheduled and work completed. However, right before Christmas they called and had to reschedule the installation due to the holidays and other commitments. Dan suggested I go ahead and buy the lock box and some of the equipment so that everything would be ready to go for the installation. A month went by and I had already gotten the lock box and was ready for this to be done. We scheduled the install for January 31st. The technician arrived and I explained that I work the graveyard shift so I'd be sleeping on the couch but if they needed anything to let me know. Three hours passed and I woke up and found that the technician was gone and no work had been done. I called the owner, Dan, and he told me the tech had gotten the stomach flu and left because he didn't want to get sick at my house or disturb me. We rescheduled the work for the next day, today, and I rearranged my schedule so that I could be here. However, the tech never showed up. I called Dan again and he told me the tech should have called because he is still sick. I tried to explain that I rearranged my schedule and was counting on him to be here and Dan's tone became very rude and aggressive and eventually told me I should just hire someone else to do it. This experience began very well with Dan, but the end result has been really bad and the experience with this company did not turn out well at all.

Overall, Simplisafe was wonderful.  Their products installed easily and were easy to activate.  My one complaint is if you have questions, you can be waiting on the phone for a long time.  In addition, the music while you wait is annoying.  Once you get to a person, he or she is helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The salesperson is also very patient in explaining the dynamics of the system.  In addition, Simplisafe offers a 60-day money-back guarantee.  We returned some extra components and were refunded promptly. The monitoring center is very prompt and courteous--no complaints where it really counts.
