Recent Review: My daughter owns a cabin in Lowman, Idaho. She contacted Southwest handyman Services LLC, to build a new deck and screen room off the front of the cabin. Michael came out to give her a bid, that she thought was very reasonable considering the amount of work and the hour and a half drive to the cabin. Michael was very professional and prompt. He explained everything in detail and was very informative. My daughter and I were very impressed with Michael's work ethic and meticulousness. He did an AWESOME JOB! She will most certainly hire him again. Thank You!

Recent Review: I hired True Grit Construction build a deck frame for us which turned out great.  My husband and I thought we could put the decking down ourselves but discovered we really didn't know what we were doing. I called True Grit back ask if they could finish the decking and they not only completed it within two days they gave us a discount to help out. they ended up having "fix" some of the work we had done.   I would highly recommend this company to all!

Recent Review: The estimated start was mid-August, that actual start was the end of August. The work on the deck didn't start on time, but that was to be expected when dealing with construction projects. Since they were working on another project. When they can actually start your project depends upon what problems occur on the project that they are working. Problems means delays. In fact while working on our deck, a problem was found with some of the joists, which meant they had to be replaced. That meant it would take longer to complete. Which meant that the next job in the queue would be delayed. The deck is a two tier deck with the lower deck having some privacy screening and many deck boards needing angle cuts, so it was not a simple deck job. The person doing the job knew is stuff and did the work as though it was his own house. The quality was outstanding. The railing, the privacy screening looks great. He made two benches, one attached, and one we could move. They come out great and match so well with the deck, because he used both the Fiberon and the vinyl that was used on the railing and posts. We knew that we wanted to add an automatic awning in the future . Since it would not be attached to the house, we researched what the attachment requirements would be and discussed it with Campbell's staff. They determined we needed some higher posts and support structure at the top. We did this prior to signing the contract. If you are planning to do other things in the future, be sure to discuss this with them. Campbell's did our roof several years ago. We selected a metal roof that looks like shingles. But we found that in the spring, when the snow starts to melt, large chunks would come down. Two years ago, we asked them about snow guards. They did some research and talked with the manufacturer and came up with what we could use. We had them add some about the garage. The first year they worked great - we had no snow. Last year one came off, which allowed some of the some to come down. But the rest worked. They replaced the one that came off and we had more installed along the front of the house. We obviously like the work Campbell's does because we have had them do so much. In fact we will probably have some more work for them next year.

ASon Construction Inc.
It went very well.  David Nicholson is the contractor of Son Construction and he is very professional.  He gave an honest bid with no hidden possible cost, he delivered the product in the time frame that he promised.  It was a written bid with , again, no hidden possible extra cost. The deck turned out much better than I had anticipated.  He is a fair , solid , honest person who is trustworthy.  Always available to answer any and all questions.  It was a pleasure to do business with him.  And I intend to use him again on other projects.  He is terrific.  His product is outstanding.  I am proud to say that he constructed my beautiful deck.

They were good. I have heard the name and I've seen the work. My buddy does contractor and he knows them so I know their reputation was good. They are the only one that scheduled an appointment. I thought they did a great job. He quoted me on his price and he honored his quote. They did exactly what they need to do. I was very pleased with them.

He was absolutely wonderful.  Everything he did was very transparent and he wrote down all the costs.  He asked us what we wanted and would tell us if he was able or unable to come that day.  He finished it in a short time and did a beautiful job.  He left everything very clean.  We would use him again in the future.

AEd Gyorfy
Ed actually built our neighbor's deck. Our back steps were badly in need of replacement. After we saw the work that Ed did for our neighbor, we got his name and phone number. Ed came over the day after we contacted him. We talked about what we wanted. Ed came over the next day with drawings for a plan that he thought would work for us. We really had no idea what he could create because we have a hot tub very near the back steps. Ed's plan was more than we expected. It consisted of two separate levels which was something we hadn't even considered. After we agreed on the plans, he quickly provided us with an estimate. He got started the following week and finished the job in about 4 days. We are thrilled with the work that he did. He is a finish carpenter by trade. His attention to detail is great. He makes the best use of the materials and doesn't waste anything.

DDeck Doctor
Started the job later than agreed upon. Constantly late. Many times the workers did not show up at all and no phone call. Most times workers showed up and worked one or two hours and then left. This was not the fault of the workers. The fault lies with Bill the owner. He would constantly pull them off one job and send them to another lengthening the time to finish the job. The two-man crew did an excellent job when Bill allowed them to work on our deck. They were friendly and courteous; however, Bill did absolutely nothing! He was even upset when I asked him to come to our home to discuss a timeline for completing the project.
