Recent Review: I contacted Superior Patio Covers and was impressed with how quick he got me sample and pictures of all of the many different types of patio covers that he installed. It was great to see his samples in real life it made making the right choice for the cover super easy. After I decided what I wanted he put the order in that same day and had a estimated time of delivery from the supplier later that week. He called me when the supplier shipped the cover and the day that he would be over to install it. He came on time and with all the tools he needed and more. It went up super quick and he was mostly done with-in one day. When he was done he cleaned up after himself, way better than some contractors I've had work for me. He even let me run some electrical wire through the cover so that I could install some lights in my cover later! It rained 2 days after if was installed and he even called me to check on my cover to see if it was leaking, I told him it had 3 little leaks that were barely dripping but he insisted on fixing it. He wanted every thing to be done right. He came by 2 days later and got back up on the roof and fixed the leaks, no charge!

Recent Review: I traveled to Casa Grande looking for a qualified contractor for my 82 year old mother in law. Always concerned that since this is her summer home and we are not close, that we would get a rip off contractor. No worries with J C Tarasco! They did outstanding work, kept the family informed, never took advantage, never upsold, did the job right and cleaned up the site! Outstanding customer service by JC staying in communication and his crew was simply on it! If you are looking for a contractor in Casa Grande by all means call him. Highly recommend them and the prices were more than fair!!

Recent Review: We had the pleasure of working with Mike and his crew today. We reached out to him about a month ago for a patio and some sidewalk. He respond quickly and with a very competitive estimate. He was upfront about how far out he was with his schedule and showed up exactly within the timeframe he promised. Both he and his crew were friendly, polite, professional and hardworking. I love that he took our design ideas to heart and made some incredible suggestions that turned a simple concrete slab into a work of art. Not only did our patio turn out gorgeous but it will definitively be the focal point of our new backyard. The quality of his workmanship is top of the line. And to top it all off my yard was immaculate when they left. Looking forward to working with Mike and his crew again in the near future.

Recent Review: We initially contacted Jerry Stuart of J & J Construction for help with removal of our 3 tree stumps.  In getting an estimate for that we found out the he did many other types of work.  We asked him for an estimate for replacing our patio door (form the house), fixing our cracking patio and an RV pad.  In walking around, Jerry pointed out that our roof line was sagging due to an improperly installed post and discussed with us what we could do to fix it.  Needless to say our initial bid for removal of tree stumps soon blossomed into a full blown project.  Jerry was very good about discussing our options and very flexible in accommodating our needs.  Together we came up with a plan and work began the next day!!  Work began on October 20, 2012 and despite weather delays and additional work we added, we were completed by November 13, 2012.  Jerry and his team are extremely hard workers and have an incredible attention to detail.   The work that they completed for us is even better than I could have imagined.  It was fun working with them in coming up with ideas on some of the finish work.  I really appreciate have a crew that is on time, works a full day and works on Saturdays to get things done.  And did I mention their work is awesome!!

Recent Review: At this point, the paver work has been completed to our immense satisfaction. This included removing an existing exposed aggregate patio, and building a new paver patio with walkways.  (Eventually, we will have lots of stuff done by the same folks and we will try to report on it as it goes along.)   Work was done timely, crew was good to work with, and it was apparent that they were focused on doing the best job that they knew how.  There was a little bit of a timing conflict between Summerco and another contractor we had working on another phase of the project, but we found Summerco acted professional and reasonable all of the time.  The only real minor negative (and this was more my concern than my wife's) was that in early conversations, it didn't always sound that they knew what they were doing, and that everything was new to them.  While this was annoying to me in the early phases, it was clear from the work that they performed that they knew their stuff.  We have already had compliments from other trade people involved on other phases of the project about the quality of the paver work.  We are very pleased. As near as we could tell from quotes we got from other contractors (which is hard to evaluate, since all of the quotes came in a bit different in format, etc.) Summerco's prices were in line.  However, based on discussions with suppliers and others both in and outside of the area, they seemed a little high.  So, we've concluded that at this phase of the local market, landscaping contractors are a little on the high side.  Not a big problem.

ACustom Concrete Resurfacing
Removal of the section of the back patio to be replaced required saw cutting of the concrete and providing temporary support of the patio roof above the supports where the concrete was to be replaced.  The work crew and I discussed the saw cutting prior to the work, and accomplished it as I desired.  The temporary support of the patio roof was accomplished with minimal impact on the existing patio roof support structure.  Breaking up of the existing concrete to be replaced was accomplished using a jackhammer and sledge hammers.  The crew was able to provide the existing patio dimensions even though access was somewhat difficult due to the bushes that had grown up since the original patio placement.  A crushed rock base was placed prior to the concrete placement.  A motorized concrete "hauler" was used to transport the concrete from the delivery truck to the back patio.  That worked effectively even though some awkward maneuvering of the hauler was required.  An additional 8 to 10 inches of concrete was placed beneath the spots where the patio roof supports were to be reinstalled. The existing driveway concrete was broken up for removal mostly by jackhammer, but with some sledge hammer use.  The new driveway was formed to the same dimensions as the original, and with minimal impact on the existing lawn and sprinkler systems.  I was easily able to replace removed sod and sprinklers.  A crushed rock base was placed prior to concrete placement.  The new concrete was placed in 3 segments--the driveway left side, the driveway right side and the sidewalk/street approach. The work crew was knowledgeable in the special requirements of the city of Idaho Falls for the sidewalk and street approach.  There were no difficulties with the inspection required. The contractor was thorough in removal and disposal of all construction debris.  The final concrete surface finish has a slight repetitive "swirl" that we consider attractive.  The work crew was on site and working every day and were punctual.  I did provide access to a bathroom in our basement for their use.  They were careful in their use.  The construction time for back patio and driveway was about 2 weeks.  Communication with the contractor and the work crew was cordial and useful.  Drive by and inspect our new driveway.

His price was good. He was punctual and persistent. The building department was backed up, but he kept on them. It was installed on an old home and it had some challenges due to its age, but he did a great job.833
