Recent Review: They were very good on first two appointments. The second appointment they were late but called to let us now when they were coming. they never gave me the promised quote or design so I found someone else. It all sounded good but they just didn't seem to want to do a $14,000.00 job.

Recent Review: I had a bit of a problem with them.  The cabinets were fine, but a lot of the stuff they put in wasn't leveled.  When my granite contractor came in, he couldn't do the work because it wasn't level.  I had to actually have them come back and relevel them.  We also had some differences.  I thought that they didn't meet the design requirements.  They made corrections, but it took them six weeks.  I wasn't entirely happy with them.  I wouldn't recommend using them.

Recent Review: My husband and I have never built a new home or had a kitchen remodeled before. We didn't know what the process should be for tearing out the old kitchen and installing the new one. To save money, my husband and I tore out the cabinets, four layers of flooring, a drop-down ceiling, and a wall. After the new drywall and texture, electrical outlets, lights and flooring were put in, we finally finished painting. KVO delayed building the cabinets and the installation until we were ready for them. I worked primarily with Adrian Gomez who answered my questions, made suggests, and helped me with changing the kitchen layout (I revised it multiple times), selecting cabinets/drawers, counter tops, and hardware. Adrian was also great with coming up with solutions to problems that we encountered. I went into the office many times, and I was treated with courtesy and respect. The staff at KVO was great to work with and made the whole experience much easier than it might have been. I have had my kitchen cabinets for about two months and have received many complements.

It went great! They made sure my color choice and design choices were just how I wanted them. They were always willing to do what ever it took to get the job done right.

Fabulous, everything was smooth. We knew the costs ahead of time and didn't have any serious surprises. The crew was a delight to have in our home and the Rourke's were wonderful to work with.

Mark met with me, and was on time and courteous for the original estimate. He had Jason come back and install the tiles. When Jason installed the floor, the tiles weren't lined up correctly. As you look down the rows of the tiles, you can see that it is not straight. That's the only part that I didn't like. I'd recommend that you make sure he uses plastic tile spacers when doing the installation, not paper ones. Jason did a good job installing the cupboards, but not initially. But they were willing to correct those problems, so it did turn out fine in the end. They were a bit late for service appointments, except for the first day. I would use them again for their cabinetry work, but not to do tile work. It seemed like they had too many jobs going at once to devote real attention to one.

I went out for bid and Tony was easy to work with and could see my vision for my addition and he was the lost bid.  Some of his work I was not happy with.  Some of my doors didn't close property or I had to re-set myself.  The tile work in the bathroom was good but the grout started to crack right away at the bottom of the shower.  The walk-in closet is nice but the shelves are close together and when I hang blouses they drag on the shelf below.  The transition from the kitchen to the new addition there is a slight bump in the floor.  The wood flooring looks great but there is a small section under the kitchen cabinet over hang where there is no wood flooring and the plywood is visible.

We bought our home in July of 2010 and, although huge, the kitchen did not have a good work flow.  When my oven died, it was time to put in the double oven I always wanted and make some much needed changes to the kitchen.  Matt and Manda made EXCELLENT suggestions for the new layout.  (Although I spoke with three other contractors, none of them came even close to the great suggestions Matt and Manda had, and probably would have been much more expensive and less satisfactory.)  Matt used several experts to create and match new cabinets, since they were no longer available from the original supplier.  I have had so many compliments on what a good job they did matching the finish and the styling is perfect.  My biggest fear was cutting the existing granite countertop to install a new bar sink in the corner.  Gargoyle Granite was called to do that work, and it was executed flawlessly.  You can't tell it was added later.  The installers, Gordon and Mark, were true professionals, and perfectionists!  I couldn't have been happier with their quality of work, work ethic, and attitude.  I've never seen people take more time to measure a board (or trim in this case) and make multiple cuts to be sure they had a perfect fit.  If I didn't tell people the kitchen had been remodeled, they would never know it.  To top it off, the work was finished in two weeks.  Other contractors were guessing several months to do the job, but it could take longer. Overall, I am extremely pleased and impressed with the work that Matt and his crew did for us.  I would definitely recommend them to friends and would hire them if I had another kitchen or bath remodel to do.  I can't say enough good things about them. Bill came in late May 2011, and started by cleaning some space in the garage, building some work tables and storage cabinets (which he left for us), putting up plastic to keep the dust out, and protecting our floors in the house. He always showed up promptly at 7am, or told me ahead of time that he would be stopping at the hardware store before coming. We had ordered the bath tile online and it came at least 1/2 broken. To stay on schedule, he worked around the broken and damaged tile, and somehow managed to put together a beautifully designed bathroom floor and walls. He even helped package up the broken tile mess to help me get refunded. He built a custom vanity to look just like the existing 1950's cabinets (well built and designed, it is fabulous and much nicer than the original!). While we waited for the kitchen cabinets (the order got messed up so they came later than I planned), he installed a new floor in my laundry and did several odd jobs. He installed the floor in the kitchen, fixed cracks in the ceiling, repaired drywall where the electician had moved light fixtures and wall outlets, even weatherproofed my door. He installed the kitchen cabinets so fast, you could see that he had decades of experience. The kitchen came together amazingly fast. He had extra time on his schedule and I had plenty more work for him, so he built the custom furniture I needed in my bedroom and painted the room. He never left my job to go work on another job the whole time he worked for me. That was a huge selling point to me when I hired him, and I got a whole lot of extra things done while we waited for the other contractors and orders that came in late. We live in a rural community where materials aren't easily available, so there were plenty of issues with internet orders that didn't go smoothly. He just multi-tasked and got other things done while we waited. I had trouble of one sort or another, with most of my other contractors for this job, and they all were expensive. But Bill kept his prices low and his quality of work high. He cleaned up his mess every day before he left and when he was done, my garage was so much cleaner and nicer than it was before he worked in it. He always worked extra hard to stay on schedule, and his job was completed slightly ahead of time. I was highly impressed and I love my remodel. I'm hiring him again next summer to do some more big jobs. He calls himself a "finish carpenter", but he's incredibly versatile, and can do all kinds of work. His carpentry work is outstanding.
