Recent Review: I called these guys partly to diagnose a hot water heater problem and partly to switch a ceiling fan from one bedroom to another. They analyzed the hot water heater, and said that the problem wasn't electrical, so they couldn't help with that. But they did an excellent job switching the ceiling fan in one bedroom with a ceiling light from another bedroom. They made the ceiling fan installation so much better than where it had been installed, and it worked beautifully all summer. Everything they did was professional and neat. The price was a bit more than I was expecting to pay, however.

Recent Review: We have been incredibly impressed with Valley Electric. We have had them do approximately $3700.00 over 3 periods of work for us. Tim, owner, comes out each time we want work done to provide a bid.  He is very professional, on time, explains work clearly. His workers are polite, on time, professional, get the work done efficiently. I will be calling them in the future for all electrical work. Thank you, guys, for everything. We appreciate it. Sorry so late getting my reviews done. JS

Recent Review: Bought the ceiling fan from Lowes with installation. Installer was named Clay. Did not contact me in the quoted 48hrs. Once contact made, came over in time window specified. Had to use a heavy duty bracket in my ceiling and charged me only for standard bracket. Left no mess, cleaned up. Ceiling fan has not caught fire, fallen, or killed me yet so I would say good install.

Recent Review: It was great. They had hung a ceiling fan for me. I came home and the ceiling fan had drop down from out of the ceiling. It was hanging by wire. I called them the next day to let them know. He was like, oh my gosh. The owner came out and fixed it, no charge and all that so I was happy with that. I appreciate their customer service and their responsiveness to some concerns that came up after the fact. They immediately took responsibility to fix the problem.

Recent Review: Did a great job. Worked independently and quickly. Price was OK, but I think it would have been cheaper going through a local company.I loved the handyman, Paul, that came. We actually had him come back and do a few other projects.

Reviews in Bayview to Install Bath Exhaust Fan

FMerit Electric of Spokane, Inc.
It did not go well. To qualify this negative review, I would first like to say that the electrician who came out was very good. I had used him a year ago and everything was fine. Reasonable cost, great work, etc. So I wanted to use them again They came out and gave me an estimate on two things I wanted prices on.. I told them I could not do both things at the same time, but wanted the exhaust fan done right away. They gave me an estimate. When it came time to do the work, their service Manager Jim (who had done the original estimate) changed the estimate to a much higher price. When I asked why, he said because I wasn't doing both jobs, just one. I thought this was unfair, since he had never said, at the time of the estimate, that if I only had one thing done at a time, the price would be higher - a lot higher. The labor would be twice as much. So, I spoke with their Public Relations Manger, Elise, who got back to me and said they would honor the lower original estimate. When the electrician came out, instead of replacing the entire unit, he cleaned the exhaust fan and put it back. After he left, it started to make a very loud noise and was not taking any air out of the bathroom. So, I let them know that I wanted to go ahead with replacing the entire exhaust fan, heater, light fixture unit. They said they could not schedule me for almost two months out. I agreed, even though I thought this was also unfair to make me wait that long. The day before the work was to be done, I called to confirm both the appt and the agreed upon price. The Service Manager, Jim said he would do it for the agreed upon price. I then asked him if they guaranteed their work. He said they did. So I asked if he would credit the $ I had already paid for work that did not fix the problem. He said he would not. I then spoke with the PR person, Elise, again. She said she would get back to me. They called back later and said they would not do the work at all. Not for the agreed upon price and I quote "We can't honor that hourly rate, we just can't do it for that amount." I reminded her that they had agreed to do it for "that Price" which was their own original estimate. She continued to say the could not honor it. So, after waiting for almost two months to have this work done, they told me they would not honor their word and would not do the work at all. DO NOT USE MERIT ELECTRIC!!!!!!!! THEY USED TO BE A GOOD COMPANY. NOW THEY ARE UNETHICAL. THEY WILL DO A "BAIT AND SWITCH" PRICING ON YOU, DEPENDING ON HOW MUCH WORK YOU DO OR DON'T GIVE THEM. Their Service Manager, Jim , was irritated that he was forced by the PR Manager to honor his original estimate, so, when I had the audacity to ask him to credit back the amount for the work that did not fix the issue, he decided to punish me by not doing the work at all. I was told their owner agreed with him. I believe that If I had been a man, they would have handled this much differently. They are not interested in doing residential work. I am sure they would not treat their corporate clients this way.

AOK Electric
I was looking for someone to install 4 ceiling fans in our new home. In the past (3 homes) I have installed the fans myself, but I did not have the time due to work and two of the fans needed to go into rooms where there outlets needed to be installed. I had contact one other vendor for the work and was concerned about the price they provided, so I called OK Electric to get another bid. I sent an email to OK Electric describing the work I wanted to get done giving as much detail as I could and was pleasantly surprised when I got a quote via email. The other vendor I had contacted required someone come to the house and they charged for the visit. I knew approx. what I would spend for the work and OK was right in line with what my expectations were. On January 10, two elections showed up at my home and after a quick walk thru, they started work on the installations. Two rooms had lights that were going to be replaced with fan and 2 rooms were new installations. As with most work like this, they ran into minor problems but were able to resolve quickly. So glad I did not try to do this on my own. The people I spoke with and met at OK were professional and courteous. They returned calls and emails as expected and there prices were fair. They did not try to charge me for the initial quote and the fact I could explain what I wanted in an email or over the phone to get a quote was great. I would highly recommend OK for anyone needed electrical work done at their home or at a business.

I texted Shawn and told him what I needed done and sent a few pics of the fans. He got back to me promptly with a price and time he could send a crew out. Shawn is always great on price. The crew came out right on the scheduled time and got to work. The guys were very professional and I will ask Shawn for the same crew every time I need a home repair done. I have also used Shawn and his crew to repair / replace a dryer vent. And they put together a Rubbermaid Shed for me. A+++ work every time.

BStandard Paint & Flooring
It didn't turn out. We got some lighting from them from a particular store and everything went fine but if you go through another store there forget it. I went there because the lady who runs the lighting department there, her name is Cindy Disio used to have her own lighting company and her bought lighting from her for the last house we built and we were extremely happy with Cindy and so when it came to getting fans for the new house we built that was what I thought to go to Cindy and it was awesome. She is unbelievable and it was because of her I was there.
