Recent Review: They showed up right on time and proceeded to hang plastic sheeting to control the dust from flying out of the work area. They also put tarps down to protect the floor and steps. The quickly took out the concrete floor they needed to in order to do the work.     Once done with that they quickly installed a sump pump and related plumbing, and replaced the removed concrete. After they removed the plastic sheeting the only way you could tell they were there is by the fresh concrete part of the floor.  And so far no water in the basement

Recent Review: Previous piering companies had tried and failed to solve our sinking foundation problem with undersized piers. After researching available options and getting quotes from a few companies, we chose Expert House Movers to excavate around our foundation, install custom made piers to support the weight of our house (full masonry, stone foundation, slate roof and terazzo floos) and spray a rubberized coating on the below ground portion of our foundation to stop future water penetrations in our stone foundation. They showed up promptly, performed the necessary work in a timely matter and were careful of the landscaping we wanted to keep. The job itself took longer than anticipated mostly due to additional work needed once the foundation was exposed (tuckpointing, new window wells, etc). There was minor damage to the sprinkler system and the water service line, but we were compensated for the damage by EHM. My only complaint was the amount of old drainage pipes and broken concrete that was left on site during the work and not removed until the end of the job.

Recent Review: After backfilling the area they excavated, they CAVED our foundation wall. A second wall is bowing and cracking. The corner where they "repaired" the masonry leaks, and fountains of water have actually sprung from the wall in three places. Their attempt to fix the leaking wall entailed painting the wall, but months later, the paint won't dry because the block is so saturated with water. They broke the water main to our house while excavating & we had a moat of water leaking into the basement for a couple of days. Two doors won't close, cracks in our wall, MOLD in our basement. Somewhere along the line they let their contractor license expire, or lost it. The city has no record of any bonding/insurance/or contractor license on file (they did when they first worked for us). They didn't take out any permits. We invested over $15,000 in this project and havn't been able to get any meaningful efforts at resolving the damage, or taking responsibility (i.e. GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK). Very wishy-washy and evasive when you try to negotiate your way through problems. If something were to go wrong, they will pull a disappearing act. I have more.. I have a whole lot more to say, but DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Ever.

We had a few hiccups due to bad planning on the salesman's part, but the foreman Dillon and his crew were amazing. I am having them come back to install a second pump for our system. The foreman saved the day and went above and beyond the call of duty. I will recommend them in the future. It is worth every penny we spent on it.

From the initial phone contact through the final end of the project we dealt with the business owner,  Mark Lucas, who was polite, punctual, and professional.  We had an established date, but due to our own health issue had to move the project to a different date.  Mark was so easy to work with and accommodate this change of date.  The work was done as outlined when we chose this company.  What could have been a messy, dusty process was actually kept in check due to the equipment used and the end-of-day clean up by the work staff.  The final work was completed and we had a few questions.  Mark came personally to inspect the project at it's end and answered all questions.  We never felt rushed or pushed.  Most of all, we have peace of mind knowing that the job was done right with a company that will stand behind its work in the years ahead; for us and whoever will buy our home in the future. We have now been through the spring-rains season and can gladly say, "Our basement is DRY!!" Thanks, Mark Lucas/Dry-Basement Waterproofing LLC!

The process of removing basement flooring, breaking up the concrete, and digging the trench was a noisy and dirty job, but they did their best (plastic coverings, drop cloths, vacuum)  to keep the dust in check and minimize the inconvenience to us.  After the job was completed, they did a good job of cleaning up in the area where the work took place.  They hauled away and disposed of all of the removed concrete, dirt, and other waste from the project.  They did everything they had promised and kept within the estimate they had given us before hand.  They were very responsive to our numerous questions before, during, and after the installation.  So far as we can tell, the system is working well.  The sump pump has functioned on several occasions, and we have had no evidence of water in our basement.  We have not had a major down pour since the system was installed, but based on the fact that the pump has run a few times anyway, we assume the system is performing as its supposed to.  We heard about the company through their sponsorship of programming on our public radio station.
