Recent Review: We worked with three different plumbers on two occasions to finish our jobs, all of which were done quickly and are now working perfectly. Plumbers were professional and friendly, wore shoe coverings on a wet day, and fully explained all repairs. Scheduling was easy and plumbers arrived in the two-hour window scheduled both times. We were very impressed with the cost! Definitely would use again in the future.

Recent Review: The guy that owns the company, Dave Baum, admitted he was not licensed to do plumbing, however assured me his guys were.  His guys told me otherwise.  none of these people have proper credentials to do the jobs they are hired for.  They have experience, yes, but as you can see from the grades I gave them, their experience didn't count for much.  I didn't hire these contractors.  They were hired through an agency I received financial assistance from to get these repairs done..  The owner already has another full-time job and only showed up at my house when there was a problem.  There were a lot of problems.  The guys he hired to work for him never showed up on time.  There were a few days they didn't show up at all when they were supposed to, even leaving my toddler son and me without hot water for a weekend.  This job took a total of over 2 weeks.  It should have been completed in less than one.  Dave himself supervised and aided in the installation of the furnace and air conditioning unit.  The only problem I've had with this unit was a small leak that was a manufacturer's defect and no fault of Dave's or the guy he had helping him.  This was the only part of the job that went right.  The first time the vinyl was laid in the kitchen, they guys who laid it weren't familiar with the glue they were using and how quickly it set up so the floor was laid crooked and the guys ripped it when they tried to force it into place.  They then had the nerve to be upset when I told them I wanted it redone.  Second time vinyl was laid, was done so by different guys and it went a lot smoother.  However, to get rid of all the excess glue that got all over my cabinets and the vinyl, the first guys used Goo Gone, which had an added benefit of melting the black rubber soles of one of the guys' shoes, which he then tracked onto my dining room carpet!  So, now my carpet's ruined.  Dave did come out with a Rug Doctor and try to clean it up, but it's melted rubber.  It's not coming up.  A cabinet housed my hot water heater.  Due to the presence of mold I was unaware of, the whole cabinet had to be torn out and rebuilt.  The walls that were removed were paneling and the walls that were rebuilt were drywall.  I didn't have a problem with the difference, however, the cabinets and crown molding that were hanging in the laundry room were not fitting and all crown molding had to be replaced.  A guy even hung one of the cabinets up side down.     After it was done, my mom and uncle came to town and saw a small surface tear in the vinyl.  Admittedly, the last thing I wanted was these people in my house again, so I waited until my family left until I called the owner, Dave, about this problem.  First he told me he'd take care of it the best he could.  Then I stopped hearing from him.  He never showed.  None of his employees ever showed to fix this small tear in the vinyl.  Months went by and my phone calls were not returned.  When I finally did get ahold of Dave again, he denied responsibility for the tear but said he's still send someone out to fix it.  Now, my one-year warranty on their work has expired, floor is still not fixed and I'm still waiting.  They also do roofs, and landscaping (pretty much anything to make a buck)  DO NOT hire these people!  And make sure you see proper licensing credentials from anyone you do hire.

DLangel's Plumbing Heating AC & Pump Service Inc
I walked into Langel's and spoke directly with Mark, requesting the cost of a simple toilet repair. I was given a price (under $60) that I was ok to continue scheduling a appointment. Mark gave me his cell number to send some pictures of said toilet. Imagine my surprise when I received bill once work was finished and it was almost 4times the amount Mark said it would be!! When I phoned him regarding this, his response was that he doesn't recall me standing at the counter speaking with him!! Really? But he gave me his cell number! My husband tried calling Derek, the owner several times and Derek never returned any of the calls. When I mention this to locals in the community... They tell me this is why they'd never choose Langel's!! Lesson learned! Doug the plumber was great, his service I am not upset with. I am upset that I wasn't informed of the $75 an hour labor fee. Doug didn't work real fast and took time to visit with me and look at pictures, had I known this was costing me so much I would have never chatted with him. Mark told me this would cost under $60 and NEVER mentioned plus labor. So I had no idea till the bill arrived. Doug had to come back the following day due to HIS mistake in installing this toilet piece and Langels charged me again for this trip, even though it was the mistake of the plumber. Mark did remove the second day fee but did nothing about the $150 charge in labor that I was not informed of.
