After our old hot water heater started to leak I went to Lowe's to purchase a new hot water heater. I opted for the Lowe's home installation which was performed by ProPlumbing. The two guys from ProPlumbing arrived early and quickly removed the old hot water heater and install the new tank. They wrote the installation date on the new tank and attached the instruction manual in an easy to access spot. ProPlumbing did a great job!!

They arrived promptly. However, while attempting to fix the leak, broke the whole tank AND bowl. We had to buy a whole new toilet. Ended up taking 4 hours. We were charged for everything (time, new bowl, installation) except one hour of workmanship, even though they clearly broke the tank and bowl.

We had a Bradford White water heater that had a slow drip from a leaking pipe dripping on it that caused it to rust out on the top of the tank. He replaced the water heater cleaned up the mess and even fixed the leaking pipe. He did a very good job.

This was a small repair job that should have required only one plumber for a short period of time. This plumbing company sent two people and it appears that they billed for two people. They showed up and were shown the leak and even though the leak location was identified when the appointment was made they did not bring the new fixtures to replace the leaking on. They then returned to their shop (both people) to get the new fixture. I was also apparently billed for the time (~40 minutes) it took for them to get the part. I would have thought it would be prudent for one person to stay behind and disassemble the leaking fixture while the other retrieved the part but they both went back to their shop. When they returned, one of the plumbers repaired the leak while the other stood and watched the entire time. Once the repair was complete it was discovered that the pressure switch was not shutting off properly. They agreed it was likely a bad pressure switch due to water contamination from the pinhole leak. Again, they had to return (another 30 - 40 minutes) to the shop (both people) for a pressure switch. They replaced the pressure switch and all worked fine. In total, including trips back and forth to their shop they took about 3 hours. My bill came in at over $500 including $385 for labor. I called their office and ask to speak to Dan Riley about the invoice and was told he was out but would return my call . Threes days later, I had not heard from him so I called again and got a voicemail so I left another message. I am still waiting for a return call.

I can't begain to discribe the incompetence. On the well they would break things to come back and fix. I learned this after 4 months of intermitant water and hiring someone else. The person I hired showed me what they had done. They also charged 350 for a pump that is 128.00 at manards. The new plumber fixed it in 30 mins. Its lasted 2yrs. As for pumping my septic tank. They pumped one side less than half way. Never pumped the other side but did manage to drop the concrete lid down the hole leaving it exposed and never telling me. Again so they could come back sooner. I then hired Joes who actually did the job and showed me what RJs had done. I wouldnt ever recomend them. Ever

Denny is a seasoned plumber, and he has always responded ASAP to my calls for help over the years (I've lived here 8 years, and have called him for my furnace and my plumbing).  He knows and remembers the layout of my plumbing, and where to find what he needs to do the job efficiently.  This call, he turned off the water, took apart the mechanism that controls the level of water in the toilet tank and stops it, found the small seal that was the problem, and replaced it.  He then went back to the basement and turned the water back on.  I told him about the sewer backup and he ran some water and tested the cleanout between for the house itself and found my pipes inside the house were not the problem, the problem lay in the outbound pipe between my house and the sewer.  He had to return to the shop and retrieve his augur which was mounted to the bed of a pickup truck, as well as some help because of the weight of the machine.  The outbound cleanout had standing water,  He ran his auger for nearly 40 minutes between 75-80 feet from the house to the city sewer main attempting to remove the blockage, but said he kept hitting something hard and was unable to break through.  He gave the names of two other local concerns (one a private citizen who owns an augur for his own farm work, the other a local plumber, Leon Plumbing Works, also reviewed by me, and not favorably) who had more powerful augurs with more torque to break through the "blockage".  I trust Denny.  While I was still working, I would leave a key for him in an agreed-upon place so he could let himself in and service my furnace in the winter.  He even remembers my dog, and always has a biscuit and a lovepat for her.  He has fixed and rerouted plumbing, including broken pipes, leaks and blockages, installed new plumbing fixtures (bathroom basin and cabinet) and the filter I bought to install on the kitchen pipes to filter drinking/cooking water.  He has never ceased to be kind, caring and trustworthy, and does not look to pile on to my bills.  Because I am on a fixed income, and even when I wasn't, he allows his bills to be paid on time, and charges 1% simple interest on the unpaid balance until it is paid.  I would never hesitate to recommend Denny to anyone who needed a good plumber at reasonable prices.
